Orym raises an eyebrow. "You sure, lass? They've been beatin' the stuffing out of you for a couple days now..." he jokes, once they're out of earshot of the councilman.
"We will prevail." Vishanti says quietly.
She nods slowly, "Yeah I know.....but I refuse to give up or give in to them. They need to be stopped and driven out of here. I may need to recover for a bit first......I'm....I'm not feelin too great right now."

She shakes her head and tries to smile a little as she leans slightly against Vishanti, "They are gettin' pretty good at it though aren't they? We'll get them all eventually, even if we have to take out a few at a time." She's quiet as they make their way back to the holding facility.
He's not hard to find and she looks up at him and says, "Martin said that he'll do his best and send for the materials right away. We need to go back to the Axe so I can finish getting patched up. We'll probably see you again soon." She smiles as they turn to walk out.

"Yes, but we should definitely protect you better. If they find you good armor it should help, and Anigail's presence has already proven the difference between life and death...for both of us." Vishanti says as she walks with Derika supporting some of her weight.
She nods, "Yeah, that's for sure." She smiles appreciativly at Vishanti, "Thanks....it still hurts a little. At least I kept my guts on the right side of my body this time." She smirks up at Vishanti as she finds her smart assed comment a little funny.

"I'm not into buying stolen goods, madam," Yannus says, wiping his hands. "But I'll see what you have."
The half-elf follows Abigail outside.
Abigail displays what the group has acquired, when I say stolen, I mean we confiscated the items from the robbers. I am sorry if I insinuated otherwise. Anyway, this is a rather good collection, it should definitely add to your collection of available goods rather nicely.
she picks up one of the crossbows, Here take a look at this for instance, very functional and battle tested, this item would do well in the hands of a skilled hunter looking to provide food for a growing family. good range and good power, meaning less time wasted in tracking down a wounded animals.
"Yes, let's keep it that way." Vishanti says smiling.
She nods and shrugs, "Ill try harder not to let them hit me so much." She giggles slightly even as she winces in pain.

Baulthus stops you as you head away from the jail. "Thank ye fer th' help. Here's sumfin as a token of me appreciation."
He hands you a small satchel with four corked bottles. "Healin' potions. Thought ye could use 'em."

"Frankly, madam, these are shoddy and poorly maintained," Yannus says. "It'll take me some time to get the bloodstains out and repair them to the point of reliability. I'm surprised these bandits weren't shooting off their own feet with this stuff...I'll give you eighty percent and not a copper more."
She smiles and lets out a little sigh, "With the way things have been going I'm sure they'll be very useful. Thank you very much, we greatly appreciate it." She takes the satchel from him and after another nod of her head, continues away from the jail.

His own clothes were pretty torn up after the last fight. He hadn't prepared a Mending spell to fix them, though. Tomorrow.
"My offer still stands," Yannus says. "I've got loggers and simple townsfolk here, not a militia."
Abigail thinks for a moment, her personal thought is to take the deal, but now she has others to think of. After a moment of contemplation,
I could give up part of my share to help the others, that could be for the best.
Then an idea hits her,
How about this, all of these in exchange for well crafted Armor suited to one of my travel companions.
Yannus cocks his head. "What kind of armor?"
Abigail thinks a moment then turns to Telsyn, You know Derika much better, what do think she truly needs?

Abigail thinks for a moment, then she recalls someone from her past.
Wait a sec, I once traveled with a knight that used some pretty good armor, and it was light enough to allow some maneuverability. turning the to the merchant, How about a suit of your best made Breastplate armor.
Yannus nods. "Alright. I have one, but it needs a little work. I'll have it ready for you in the morning."

With the right cantrip prepared, Telsyn will return and cast Mending on the gear, his gear, and whatever else anyone wants mended.
Everyone reconvenes at the Gilded Axe after dealing with Yannus and Baulthus.

Abigail and Telsyn come back with good news. Abby got us a nice breastplate for Derika that will work. We can get it in the morning.
Derika looks at Telsyn, a mild expression of surprise on her face. "Really? That's great....will probably help a great deal in not having my ass completely handed to me on a daily basis. Really....thanks for that. I feel like a total...." She looks around and blushes, then shaking her head she says, "Nothing....it's not important. We got them to send for materials, so the holding area for the prisoners could be increased and were given these four healing potions, which I'm sure will come in handy...." She sort of trails off. Seemingly distracted as she winces again.

"Are you alright Derika?" Vishanti asks noticing Derika's pause.
She looks up and tries to smile, but sucks in her breath sharply as she feels sharp pain slice across her side from the multiple hits she took.
She starts to nod and then stops, "If I'm completely honest I would have to say that I'm still hurting pretty bad. You and Abigail worked so hard to patch me up last time though.....and I....I didn't want to say anything.....but I think that jerk messed up my other side. I'm sorry I didn't say something sooner." She stops and looks down, feelings of inadequacy and regret racing around inside of her.

Abigail tries to dissuade any accolades about the armor, It was a simple trade, nothing more.
Once all are at the Inn Abigail takes the time to look over everyone's wounds.
"Let's get you upstairs and taken care of. And, no you had best not do that again, or you will answer to me for it." Vishanti says, her look stern for only a moment before the warm smile shines through it.
Derika looks down again and nods, "Sorry....I just wanted to make sure everything was taken care of, and I just sorta left that part out." She kinda shrugs as she stands up, "It's okay, not like I died or anything." She says with a slight smirk as she looks around the room before changing to a more sincear smile and looking back at Abigail, "Thanks again, I'm glad you decided to join us." Looking back once more at Vishanti she says, "Alright I'm going, I'm going." Nodding at the others she heads upstairs to be mended once more.

Orym spends the rest of the day relaxing, trying to go over ways to get more done in a day. 'We'll be at this for weeks,' he thinks to himself, elbows resting on the table as he nurses a mug of ale. 'There's got t' be a better way t' go about this...'
The night passes uneventfully and the next morning comes with decent weather. After a hearty breakfast, you head out once more, stopping by Yannus' to pick up Derika's breastplate. The craftsmanship is simple but quite masterful. Derika finds that it fits quite comfortable and doesn't restrict her very much. Pleased with your transaction, you set forth to the keep once more.
Nothing stops you on the way to the keep and you find yourselves in front of the watchtower, the entrance securely boarded up after your last entrance.
