Toffitt trusts Finneas to finish off the vrocks and goes to help Glimmil who seems to be staring off into space. He puts and arrow cleanly into the morkoth's side.
Atol begins to wonder about the archons as their light beams seem to go everywhere except at the vrock. Through pure luck, half the beams manage to hit an images. Atol manages to hit the vrock, but it doesn't seem to do any damage. I forget, but I don't think Atol's cudgel is good aligned.

Ato’s ward, granted by Dyrant, fails on the first swing, but his normal armor class protects him well enough. He hears Finneas’ shout, but he hangs in none the less. Though hearing spell-pops and gasps coming from the other side of the building, Atol begins to be concerned about his hidden allies. He moves closer to them (to J24), provoking from the Vrock next to him. It doesn’t even occur to him to try and tumble out of the way of the enormous creature.
Then he does a Channel Energy healing: 9d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 1, 4, 1, 1, 2, 4) = 22. He only reaches himself and Finneas with his healing. He carves out the three Vrock just in case.

The morkoth dies to Glimmil leaving Toffitt to shoot at a vrock. He clears away three of the images.
The archons try to clear the way again, but still seem to be drunk. Atol channels to keep everyone standing/flying.
Finneas almost finishes off a vrock as Kord guides his hand twice, but he is unable to get the giant turkey. He does pop the final image, though.
Dyrant stares down the remaining vrocks, but the vrocks decide to turn their attention back to the half-orc who has been killing them. Their blows are both less accurate and less powerful.

Toffitt hits twice and so do most of the archons finally. Finneas finishes off the vrock, which falls to the ground and leaves a cloud of feathers in the air. Toffitt rushes to it and finds that it does still live.

The fishermen are long gone and the streets are empty except for the party and their captured demon. The lake still boils though and the city burns. Minute 16 since the world came to an end.

"Were you worried, boy?"
After a brief exchange that nearly knocks Glimmil to his feet a few times, Glimmil climbs back into the saddle and picks up his previously discarded lance while the other members of the Cauldron Five regroup.

"So, that fish monster. It had a wand or something..."

Atol looks at his wand of cure light wounds and it seems so... small. None the less, he gets in line and offers healing to all takers.
"If there are pockets of Demons like this all over the city, we'd best move on and find the toughest of them and find them quickly." When folks are healed, Atol is ready to move.
While Atol waits for others to be healed, he casts Create Water to try and contain the warehouse fire next to the party. He's not trying to put it out - just keep the other warehouse from catching fire as well if he can. Well, if he can in the short time he's waiting anyway.

"We have a most excellent means of tracking it, wherever it should go. I'll give the pinions back when it returns my sword. Let us make this known. I need my sword back. Well, that's the best I can do, anyway. What do you all say?"

After removing several of the choicer bits and remnants of morkoth, Glimmil packs up the items and rejoins the others.
After passing them around for identification, he points the freshly discovered wand at a few of his own injuries, believing that the dangers against Cauldron are still present.

The vrock's feathers shudder as it opens its eyes. It grins and dares to stand to its full height before speaking.
"Ha, ha, ha. I thought that might keep me alive. Today is not a good day to die; there is too much havoc to enjoy. It's infectious and I see you've been infected. You might be immune to my spores, but evil and chaos are much harder to resist."
The vrock pops away and the party waits almost a minute before Toffitt's sword falls point first from the sky. The demon is nowhere to be seen.

"Wait, you're letting him go? Why are you letting him go? I can find your sword tomorrow. Surely you can wait until tomorrow rather than let this evil into the world. At least make it promise to leave Cauldron alone!"
As the party waits for the sword to fall, Atol angrily works on the fire. He's very disappointed in Dr. Toffitt and his lust for personal possessions at the cost of letting evil into the world.
At some point his anger gets the best of him, and he returns from the fire to cudgel the good Doctor.

Missing (I expect), Atol lets his cudgel lie impotent in his hands. He turns away and goes back to fighting the fire.

Toffitt doesn't dodge Atol's blows, which nonetheless bounce off his force shield. His face betrays little emotion. "You're right, of course. It was wrong. Terribly, terribly wrong. I only hope it paves the way for many rights. Let the next twenty dead demons be my repentance." He begins to move in the direction Dyrant has suggested.

Atol, a little surprised by Toffitt's response, shrugs with acceptance. "OK then. Let us press on to <X> that we may find your 20 demons!"
Atol quickly follows the others, running as fast as his legs will carry him as he weaves around holes in the ground, piles of debris, fires, and the like through the city streets.

Having cleared the northwest quadrant where they began and now the lake area, the party turns to the southwest part of the city. They move up from Ash Avenue to Lava Avenue away from the boiling, crashing waves of the lake. A few survivors, trapped in rubble, or the upper floors of burning buildings are found. The party easily helps them escape their predicaments and sends them on their way.
Cracks and fissures are common, but there has not been a lot of lava pouring into the city as of yet. The burning buildings seems to be caused by additional sources. The party encounters a few flaming demons that are likely part of the problem as well as a fire elemental or two. Each of them are easily dispatched by the party.
They're are a lot of potential encounters similar to the ones I've already used that might call for creative problem solving for lower level characters, but seem rather bland for the party's power level that I'm going to hand wave. Hence, I'm off-script for a while.
As the party clears this section of the city Elliott comes running up.
"They're safe, sir."
"Out of the city at least, past the gate." He tries to catch his breath.
"But the temple..." He looks overly dismayed.
"It's not the temple, sir, but what they are doing in there...to the people they've captured."

Dyrant, feeling a clenching panic in his gut, floats down to address Elliott.
"What temple, Elliott?" Dyrant asks through clenched teeth, fearing Elliott the Idiot the young lad might be confusing temple and church.
"Who is inside? Which Temple? What is causing trouble? OUT WITH IT!" Dryants knuckles show white, clutching the AngelRelic.
