Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena joins the rest. "I didn't find anything but a pillar with the names of the saints inscribed on it. Let's move on."

GM

Going back to the first room I am guessing you go though the other doorway then

The floor of this chamber is covered with centuries of untouched dust. Along the walls, cobwebs cover gruesome fresco work depicting unworthy souls dismembered by demonic sphinxes. In the west wall, a pair of
niches hold painted statues of gynosphinxes, glaring with wooden menace from beneath layers of ancient filth. A third niche stands empty to the south, while a fourth filled with rubble lies to the north.

Whispers seem to linger in the room

Osiriani

Spoiler:
"Bath they feet in scared waters" tired voices whisper

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena has a look around to see if there is a pool of water or something similair.

GM

she sees no water anywhere with-in the room

Celena

Spoiler:
Although you do see what may be a door on the far left wall

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena begins to head towards the far left wall

GM

As Celena makes her way across the room, you hear a groan of wood as the two faded gynosphinxes raise from their resting place. Both claw at the Gnome, but are unable to penetrate her armor.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Peering past most of her comrades Ayish frowns.

Begin Bardic inspire: +1 to every one's Att and Dam rolls.

I believe I have six rounds of inspiring, yes?

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk moves to a flanking position next to the sphinx in front of him and attacks with his magical dagger.

I forgot the bonus from the bard's song as well.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish, still first round:
Ayish walks forward, watching the combat and emboldening her comrades.

GM

I went for Markhet

Vrealk digs his dagger into one of the sphinxes but it does little more then scat it as, Ayish starts to sing empowering the group. Xerxzayas bolt flies true but seems to do nothing to the Sphinx as Mamood moves forward to join Vrealk in assaulting the nearest sphinx. Celena brings her hammer down upon the one facing her, she seems to have a good hit and splinters of wood fly from her blow. N'djamena's Tempest also makes a crunch as it hammers into his target. Markhet moves Larrs into the room.

The sphinxes mindlessly press the attack Clawing at Celena and mamood with little effect.

New round.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish in second round:
Ayish will move forwards, cautiously. Hence allowing Xer to move up and maybe get into combat if he has to.

Still inspiring the troops this round. =)

The Exchange

With his bolts having no effect, X changes to Acid Splash
Acid Splash 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12 Damage 1d3 ⇒ 3 RTouch subtracting firing into melee

Mamood continues his assault on the construct
Claw1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 Damage 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Celena continues to smash

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Damage

1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena smites again. "In Nethys's holy name, we are not invaders! We seek to restore this temple to glory," he adds, doubtful that mindless defenders like these will respond.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 101d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Keeper of Forbidden Lore wrote:

That's fine, I didn't say anything because I didn't think Larrs could get into the room. Markhet would have also cast guidance on Larrs

Larrs will attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 81d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 101d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Damage:1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 71d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 41d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Markhet will recast guidance on Larrs.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Seeing his dagger have little effect, Vrealk takes a small (5') step back and quickly digs through his pack, retrieving his vial of acid.

GM

Vrealk steps back pulling acid from his pack as Ayish keeps singer her voice feeling the others with courage and hope. Larrs moves to attack the Sphinx as Markhet guides him, but he is unable to land a blow.Xerzayas burns one of the sphinxes with acid as Mamood tries and fails to claw the same beast. Again Celena brings her hammer down sending chunks of wood flying.N'Djamena also fails to land a blow but for just a moment they seemed to pause ever so slightly at the mention of Nethy.

But then they claw at Celena and Mamood, inflicting wounds upon them both 8 and 6 HP

New round.

The Exchange

More of the same from X and Mamood

Acid Splash 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 Damage 1d3 ⇒ 3

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Round: 3

Ayish continues to raise her voice. Doing her best to keep her companions spirits raised and their arms and blows strong.

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena decides to stick to her strengths and smashing is her strength. (although if possible she will make a 5ft step in order to flank with someone)

Attack (+2 if she manages to flank)

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Damage

1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk tosses his flask of acid at the statue in front of him, aiming for the side away from his friends and hoping he doesn't splash them. "Move back!" he yells.

Gonna hold my action to give N'Djamena and Mamood a chance to take a 5' step back, after he attacks. It's hard to judge from the map, but that appears to be enough so that no one else gets hit with splash if he targets the statue's butt.

touch attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
damage 1d6 ⇒ 2

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena steps back and sends a wave of Nethys's healing power through his comrades.

1d6 ⇒ 4

GM

Vrealk steps back yells and readies his acid. Ayish keeps the magic of her music flowing into her allies As Larrs tries once more to claw at the Sphinx, sending splinters flying with three good hits . Xerxzayas again burns the 2nd sphinx with acid as Mamood sends parts flying with two solid hits. Celena attacks her foes again braking wood and sending splinters flying. N'Djamena and Mamood step back as Vrealks acid hits the sphinx, It's still up but little more then smashed word, it looks like it's can't take much more. N'Djamena fills the room with the healing might of his god calling upon Nethys to heal.

However as soon as N'Djamena's holy symbol is viable the sphinxes stop. They seem to almost nod toward the priest as they back into the alcoves that held them.

Unless you guys attack them the sphinxes will settle back where they started as if nothing had happened.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Perception:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

As the constructs back down from combat at the sight of N'Djamenas' church symbol, Ayish also stills her voice, but continues to watch and be wary of things.

GM

Ayish really does not see anything out of the ordinary in the room, a dead end going no where.

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena stands panting for a moment keeping an eye on the statues.

"Okay next time try that first" she says to N'Djamena

Male Human Cleric 5

"Yes, it should have been obvious after it worked on the snake. My mistake."

"Markhet thinks the priest should hold out his holy symbol for every room we enter from now on," the gnome says, "Markhet can only assume that the priests who once lived here slept and bathed with their holy symbols out for fear of being killed by their own defenses."

The Exchange

"it seems, n'djamena, that you are leading our expedition. where to next?"

Male Human Cleric 5

"I suggest we take some time to search this room carefully; it seems unlikely that these things are guarding a dead end."

GM

N'Djamena/Celena

Spoiler:
While everyone one else seems to see nothing but blank walls you see a door on the south wall

Female Gnome Paladin 5

"Dead end? what dead end?" she says pointing towards a wall

"Oh no Larrs," Markhet whispers to her cat, "Celena has gone barking mad."

Larrs regards the other gnome cautiously as if wondering if she might lash out at any moment.

Attempt to disbelieve the illusion? 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Male Human Cleric 5

"You don't see the door on the south wall?"

GM

Markhet

Spoiler:
You can make out a door now, your not sure how ya missed it

"Oh that door!" the tiny gnome says as she slaps her forehead, "Markhet has no idea how she missed that before!"

Larrs turns to look at Markhet with a suspicious look in his eye.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

At her friends comments Ayish also tries to 'see' the door people are talking about,

Will Save:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

And seeing through the illusion makes a mental note to try and not take everything in this place for granted.

"Perhaps yet another 'deference' created by the Priests and Monks who once lived here?" She hazards a guess softly.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

"What in hells you all talking about? Me only sees a wall."

Male Human Cleric 5

"Could someone just open the door? I'd do it, but I'm busy holding up my holy symbol at the moment."

N'Djamena checks the door for any traps.

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

GM

He does not see any traps Ya know ya can hold that with one hand and open the door with the other :)

Female Gnome Paladin 5

"Fine i'll get it." Celena then opens the door.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

"Whoa! That's neat! How you all see that? Is me blind?"

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2
Vrealk wrote:
"Whoa! That's neat! How you all see that? Is me blind?"

Ayish smiles and says,

"No freind Vrealk, the past clerics of Nethys placed a glamor about the door. Perhaps they made it in such a way that your extra sharp eyes are most affected?" Ayish suggests, trying to reassure her Goblin companion.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk gives Ayish a big, toothy grin. "Me thanks you for your kind words, friend-Ayish. You very nice. But, now me remembers being controlled by mind-magic before, by one of my owners. As me thinks, me guesses my goblin-brain just probably more easily fooled."

Male Human Cleric 5

"The gods grant their gifts in mysterious ways," N'Djamena adds airily. "You certainly have other talents that make up for it."
