N'Djamena wrote:
"The gods grant their gifts in mysterious ways," N'Djamena adds airily. "You certainly have other talents that make up for it."

Ayish kneels down and gives a quick hug to Vrealk,

"See, N'Djamena appreciates your skills!" She smiles, standing and straightening her silks. Seemingly absently she reaches out and squeezes the Gnomes shoulder as well. ;)

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena goes through the door, holding his holy symbol prominently forth.

GM

Sorry guys I got umm kidnapped last night before updating, sorry bout that

N'Djamena pushes though the doorway, holy symbol held high into the room beyond.Three spacious tubs dominate the room, with large terracotta
braziers placed between them. Narrow vents lead into the ceiling above each brazier, evidently the source of the sand and grit covering the floor.

Markhet

Spoiler:
You think you saw movement near one of the Braziers, something small and grey.

Ugh flickr is fighting with me I'll get a map up when I can. There is a doorway to another room in here however.

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena being the slowest brings up the rear of the group.

"Is that a mouse?" Markhet asks, "this one thinks she saw something move over there," Markhet says pointing at one of the braziers, "if it's a mouse Larrs would gladly eat it."

Larrs' ears pop up at the mention of a mouse, but the lion is still slightly baffled by the illusion.

Female Gnome Paladin 5

"Another Illusion maybe?" Celena suggests

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

His dagger held out, Vrealk quickly looks about in the direction Markhet indicates she saw the mouse.

perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 +1 vs traps

Male Human Cleric 5

"If you are one of Nethys's guardians, come forward and show yourself," N'Djamena proclaims in a calm voice.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

At the mention of the word 'Mouse' Ayishs' face twists into a look of disgust.

"Mouse? Perhaps you mean rat?" she whispers, drawing closer to her brother for support. Lifting her feet into mincing steps as she does so.

GM

Vrealk sees the creatures right before they attack, Small no bigger then a Gnome but thinner. Grey with spiny almost boneless looking limbs the things lung at you

In a mass the things run toward you imposable fast it seems leaping at Vrealk and N'Djamena with boneless limbs latching onto and climbing over them like ants on a dieing bird4 Hp to Vrealk and 17 to N'Djamena. both of you are also now grabbed. One is on vrelk two on N'Djamena map issues

Seeing some gray things attacking, Ayish squeals.

"Eeek! Rats!"

And proceeds to prepare a spell for this round round.

Magic Missile

1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

On the 'closest' gray thing.

The Exchange

Xerxzayas reflexively strikes out at the thing on Vrealk with his mace. Mamood claws at one of the things on N'Djamena. Also, if he can, Mamood begins to move around to allow Larrs an opening to attack.

Vrealk lashes out at the thing with his dagger ...

attack 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
damage 1d3 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 2 + (5) = 9

Male Human Cleric 5

"Aargh! Help me friends, help me Nethys!" N'Djamena screams in pain as he feels life fleeing his body.

He channels some healing energy, afraid that the grappling creatures may disrupt his spellcasting.

1d6 ⇒ 1, exclude up to 2 injured enemies

Are they undead?
Know: religion 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Can Larrs get into this battle? If so Larrs will attack one of the Gray things, preferably one that's attacking N'Djamena.

Nope grappled does not lose dex bonus but does take a -4 AC so no sneak attack, but Vrealk also take a -2 to attack as well

Vrealk slashes at his attacker but the thing is to close choking him and he is unable to land the blow. Ayish unleashes an arcane bolt into Vrealks attacker as Xerxzayas lands a solid blow on the same attacker. Mamood steps into the room to clear the entry way as he slashes one of N'Djamena's attackers. Larrs rushes forward to slash the same attacker. Celena charges forward nearly knocking xerzayas's down as she smashes in the head of Vrealk's attacker. N'Djamena's words are jumbled as the thing chokes him but still the power of his god pours out of him healing a small bit

The things press on attacking N'djamena drops to the floor as his attacker keeps choking himHe is at -7 now while the 2nd jumps at Mamoond strangling the Eidolon who vanishes in a poof of smoke as the thing strangles the life from him. The creature looks confused once it's prey vanishes.

New round..if ya want to use your life link to feed him HP to keep him from going poof ya may do so. He took 15 hp. The things are not any undead N'Djamena knows of no

Your map

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Seeing N'Djamena fall Ayish cries, "No!" and leaps forwards to cast a healing spell upon the valiant cleric.

Not sure what sort of 'move' action I need to egt to N'Djamenas' side.

Cast Cure Light Wounds:1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

At least I think it's 1d6+1, please correct anything if need be, oh illustrious DM. =)

The Exchange

Xerxzayas will indeed use the life link.

Mace 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 Damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Mamood will fend off the one on him

How many HP's ya want to send his way? Ya need to give him at lest 6

Celena charges the next choker (probably the one on N'Djamena,)

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 (+6 if she cant charge)

Damage

1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk continues his attack, targeting the closest to him. (I'm not grappled anymore, correct?)

attack 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
damage 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Male Human Cleric 5

Is N'Djamena healed in time to act this turn?

GM

Yes he should be as he goes well after ayish but he would be pron.

Male Human Cleric 5

Waking up from unconsciousness, N'Djamena gags incoherently as he channels more healing energy.

1d6 ⇒ 4

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish tries to remove the thing around N'Djamenas' neck.

Str Check:1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13

All the while trying to say comforting words of reassurance to the Cleric.

How do you reassure some one who has a gray thing wrapped around their neck and is choking the living s@!t out of them?

Larrs goes full round on this this thing:

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 231d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 201d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 71d4 ⇒ 21d4 ⇒ 3

"Gets him Larrs!" Markhet hollers, "save our priest!"

Critical confirmation: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

Looks like Larrs is chewing gum and kicking butt . . . and he's all out of gum. That should be 14 from the bite (unless you want me to roll damage again. I usually just double it

GM

Xerxzayas uses his on life force to keep Mamood up as Ayish rushes forward to heal the downed N'Djamena. The last of the two things go down by claw and weapon as N'Djamena stands and calls upon the healing power of his god as a wave washes over the group

Fights over I'll have correct HP posted in a bit. Now what?

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena groans and rubs his sore throat.

"Thank you, my friends. You saved my life, and I will never forget it. Trust me when I say that these abominations are NOT servants of Nethys!"

He totters to his feet and looks around for the creatures' nest, holding his holy symbol up high.

"Larrs has saved the priest again," Markhet says beaming, "Markhet wonders if Larrs is starting to like the priest?"

Larrs spits out monster bits with a *Pahpf* whilst looking completely indifferent.

"Maybe not," the gnome says rubbing Markhet's head, "Markhet will remind the priest that thanks may be expressed through meat."

The Exchange

"when we have cleared this holy place, i would like to learn more of your faith, d'jamena. it might be good for me to claim a patron god and the god of magics might suit me well."

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena goes about franticly cleaning her hammer with a bit of cloth deciding it is probably best not a good idea to start an argument of faiths

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish nods and smiles, glad that N'Djamena seems to have recovered from the worst of the nasty rat creatures attacks.

She too moves closer to attempt to scratch Larrs, though winces and shrinks back when a small amount of masticated thing is plopped at her bare feet.

"Um...Celena? I have a simple spell that may help you with your cleaning?" She offers quietly.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk pokes at the dead things with his dagger, both to get a better look and make sure they're really dead and not 'playing opossum'.

"Anybody know what these are? Me not sure me ever has seen anything like them before."

He'll then take a look around the room. perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 +1 for traps

Xerxzayas wrote:
"when we have cleared this holy place, i would like to learn more of your faith, d'jamena. it might be good for me to claim a patron god and the god of magics might suit me well."

Markhet raises an eyebrow. What was wrong with the green faith she wonders.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

I want to give everyone a heads up: I'm traveling on business to Italy the week of July 5th (through the 10th), and to China the week of the 19th (through the 23rd). While I may have some internet time, I doubt it will be much during those weeks. So please feel free to DMPC me as needed during those times.

GM

Vrealk

Spoiler:
You find a small nest of items, some jewelry{ 3 rings, and a necklace] and about 40 odd coins

Also guys you do have another archway in here leading to another room

Male Human Cleric 5

Are the hit points up to date?

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk retrieves the jewelry and coins, and spreads them on the ground in front of everyone. (look at spoiler)

"Me found these!" he says proudly. "Friend-N'Djamena, can you check for magic?

GM

Yes, they are up to date, N'djamena is the one hurt the most right now, he got mauled nicely.

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena uses his Endure Elements prayer to heal himself.

1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

And he channels energy again (twice) to heal himself and his comrades.

1d6 ⇒ 2
1d6 ⇒ 6

Then he examines the objects that Vrealk found with Detect Magic.

GM

Those objects do not seem to hold any magic

Male Human Cleric 5

"Vrealk, they are perhaps valuable, but they are not magic. And Xerxzayas, it would be my honour to discuss the tenets of Nethys with you. Nethys welcomes all who are interested in magic to his worship."

N'Djamena -- cautiously! -- moves towards the archway.

GM

Reeking of dust, this ransacked room appears to have been some sort of scriptorium. Slate-topped tables and cedar-wood stools lie overturned and broken amid the cracked remains of scroll cases and rolls. Three wings lead to the east. In them, decrepit scroll racks of dry-rotted cedar lean haphazardly against the walls, their contents dumped out. Flecks of papyrus carpet the floor, a library of ancient lore laid to waste. A massive basalt plaque dominates the southern wall of the chamber, surrounded by images of the god-king Nethys on the deck of a river barque. Osiriani inscriptions sprawl across the plaque.

Osiriani

Spoiler:
for those of you that can read it is just an inscription that alternate between descriptions of the positive and destructive properties of magic.

map

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish sighs sadly at the rooms lost contents. As a Bard, weaving many tales together to make something new is something she enjoys the most. To see others works laid to waste brings a sadness to her heart.

Perception:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Male Human Cleric 5

"Does anyone speak this language? It's obviously some kind of inscription to Nethys."

N'Djamena searches through the detritus to see if there's anything of interest.

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

"Markhet doesn't recognize thoes words," the tiny gnome says, "and neither does Larrs."

The Exchange

"neither mamood nor i understand the language."
