OOC it totally was the reason he could even talk to people funnily enough.
I think it was doing the read mind/project mind thing which is why instead of to one specific person it was to everyone in 60ft, the little guy couldn't see.

And you can't have a pseudodragon familiar until 7th level, and only with the Improved Familiar Feat.
Not at level 1 with Toughness feat.
It wasnt a familiar, he probably straight up bought it.
Now that I read his stuff, that is most certainly what he did, if it was a familiar it wouldnt have had that much HP.

Yep bought it. Though for story purposes they have been friends for 11 years. Ternock was a familiar at one time to Balthazars mentor and father figure, who was an elf wizard. The elf wizard died of old age, and Ternock decided to go with Balthazar to be his translator, because for some reason he wouldnt do anything but grunt even after learning common. And Ternock was already acting as his translator for over 10 years.

Strigala put the blame on Gabsen because, from her viewpoint, he flat-out murdered a surrendering robber and got someone killed. She didn't see Lilica kill a downed enemy due to the stage in the way. It's reflecting her naivete about life; this is something she'll have to grow out of.
Got no ill feelings about whatever happens to Gabsen, as a player.
Yeah at this point I assume most people are pretty mature about their characters in general. Heck Baltha DIED in the first encounter.. though that is par for his characters as already established.
Though creating new characters that fit are always a drag if your previous didnt make it for some reason. The silver lining being its always better for it to happen EARLY when bonds havent been made.. then to try and join afterward.

Ok guys I had been feeling really sick for a few days now so I went to the doctor and I've been running a 104 degree fever. I'm going to be taking a few days off from the game to recover. I'll be back up and running hopefully in a few days.

OK, guys. I know realistic character reactions are great and all, but... I think we're getting into beating a dead horse territory here. I mean, yes, moral arguments can be fun, especially IC. But I think we're getting into the repetitive territory, and that's just not fun for me or others to read.
Besides, this sort of party strife this early on over what pretty much boils down to an OOC mistake on Gabsen's part doesn't give me warm happy feelings about further on down the road. I'm not saying sweep it under the rug, not by any means. But such things can still be handled over the long term.
Well problem is we have no where to go until the DM starts feeling better and moves the game along. I completley understand where your coming from. But we havent much of a choice. Until Saul makes his decision on the fate of Gasben, we cant really move forward and or get information out of the thugs that are still alive. All further actions rely on DM.
Also we tecnically arent a party yet, so we have no attachment to Gasben or any other member of the future party or just starting to make simple bonds with them. IC do you think we would still team up with or trust Gasben? There is no way my new character would team up with him. And others probably would say the same. Nothing against the player of course. Im quite enjoying how he is handling the situation. He is a good roleplayer!
He is a very good roleplayer. He's playing his character quite well. I'm quite enjoying reading what he's saying and how he's handling it.
I don't know where we can go with GM input. We could just let it die down and wait?
We will see what the DM can weave. He might pull it together so Gasben and Ternock can somehow work together

We are examining the situation with the GM currently.
Character development is cool. Think how many books and movies has initially antagonistic characters who change as the plot develops.
Realistically, Anything short of "I f%+*ed up and will get your friend back alive any way I can " Will be a hard to believe in this current situation.

I was mad when he died, but its not anything to put a grudge on. Characters die. And the game continues.
Its just the way I believe Ternock would act when losing a friend. Just RPed it out. Im sorry if it seemed like any actually aggression twards you. I just figured in heat of the moment, Ternock would go ape s&@$ on Gasben.

Yeah it was my fault for not responding to that and saying it was fine. I just got so much good RP to work with so it kinda slipped my mind to comment back. So im sorry if it seemed like i was being a dick, it was purely in character.

Ok I'm feeling for the most part better everyone. I have a surgery that I'll need sometime in this coming month that will have me down for another day or two. But aside from that we should be back up and running as per usual.
