However, looking at Gunari in his heavy armor and Finarin in his slippery high-fashion boots, the Garundi understands that there's no option, unless they want give out their location to anyone with a sense of smell. Grumbling, and muttering something incomprehensible, Amaranti dismounts, and send Kaisharga up to give the others a lift. I'm happy to rule that you have useful weapons, like alchemist's fire and holy water on a belt (unless you'd prefer otherwise) so it can be a move action to draw them. Ibid can move and hurl next round.

Amaranti also needed to step out to throw that (he can draw as he moves) since the trees would have provided the swarm with improved cover. Given you a Lockwood to help with that... actually works out better for your companions, too! Otherwise, Stormy would have gone for the line while Swarmy couldn't make it. Only Finarin gets it worse as a result.

Lockwooded Kaisharga through the trees (counts as difficult terrain, grants improved cover.

Amaranti's aim is true, and Stormy explodes into flame. Even Swarmy loses some ants to the fire as the burning liquid splashes it.

As about a hundred ants writhe on the ground before becoming charred little corpses, Stormy leaves its dying comrades and crawls all over Finarin, stabbing and stinging. Individually, the ants have barely enough poison to cause more than a little discomfort. In this quantity, however, their innmerable poisonous bites can be deadly.

Stormy vs Finarin, damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Finarin fort save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 --Wow, my rolls suck. Sorry buddy!
Finarin strength damage: 1d2 ⇒ 1

DC 13 concentration check if Finarin wants to cast a spell... but just move away first (sorry, though, difficult terrain is your only outlet, so can't 5ft step).

Swarmy goes for Amaranti, crawling up his legs and tearing at his skin with a thousand tiny mandibles.

Swarmy vs Amaranti, damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Amaranti fort save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Amaranti (barely) manages to shrug off the effects of the tiny things' poison.

DC 13 concentration check for spells, as above.

Gunari inspects the ant-covered corpse. It is hard to make any kind of determination with the body covered in so many insects. The warpriest determines that he died from poisoning, likely the same poison that seems to be slowing his companion, Finarin. A note is sticking out of his body, and Gunari reaches for it. So engrossed is he by the piece of paper, he doesn't notice that he's standing still. Several ants crawl into his armor and begin biting him mercilessly. Hours later, Gunari is still plagued by a strong itching sensation in his lower legs.

Finarin fort save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 -- to save from the earlier poison.
Finarin strength damage: 1d2 ⇒ 2

Finarin, meanwhile seems to be struggling to fend off the effects of the time he was covered in ants. Welts begin to appear all over his skin, and he has the almost uncontrollable desire to scratch them for all he's worth.

The flaming fire ants then chase after the source of their greatest pain: the elf with the rising welts.

Still aflame from Finarin and Ibid's alchemical grenades, enough ants burn up that the swarm is distinctly lacking in numbers and the remaining ants flee rather than face a fiery doom.

The Pathfinders conduct a thorough search of the area, being careful not to disturb any more ant mounds. Gunari is forced to remove his greaves that he might squash the two ants that are continually biting him. He considers complaining, but then looks over at the poor elf who is now so covered in weltering sores and blisters that a good amount of his vitality has left him.

The corpse can reveal little else. Jace, as the letter identifies him, definitely died from ant bites.

Being good adventurers, the companions loot Jace’s body (and the surrounding area) and find a rapier, a masterwork composite longbow, a potion of invisibility, a potion of cure moderate wounds, two oils of magic weapon, two sleep arrows, and two flasks of alchemist’s fire. Jace also has a rope of climbing strapped to his waste.

Finarin taking 10 can identify all of those, especially with Gunari doing a successful aid another even on the roll of a 1 and Ibid helping on the roll of 1 and 2 or above on his 2 dice.

PFS Guide To Organized Play, p24:
All potions, scrolls, wands, and other consumables are made by clerics, druids, or wizards in Pathfinder Society Organized Play. The only exceptions are spells that are not on the cleric, druid, or wizard spell list.

On the plus side, a scroll with 5 of them still costs 2PP. It's just a 2nd level cleric spell on there for UMD purposes.

The group collects all the gear, and then sets off once more. Secretly, every Pathfinder hopes that the ants delayed the Aspis Consortium a lot more than the ants delayed them.

The floor of the ravine slopes downward slightly and the foliage overhead gradually thins. The ravine is wider here, and numerous boulders scattered throughout the area attest to steady erosion. Some of the boulders bear strange carvings and are even hewn into rough pillars, but they jut at odd angles out from the landscape and don’t seem to be a part of any surviving structure. Nestled in the shadow of two such pillars is a shallow pit scraped out of the earth by some massive creature’s claws. The nest contains several branches, the half-eaten body of a leather-clad humanoid, several broken shells, and a several large, intact eggs. In the trampled foliage near the nest lies the corpse of a massive, bipedal dinosaur, its tooth-lined maw agape and its hide pierced with dozens of crude javelins.

Ibid Knowledge (nature): 1d20 + 10 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 10 + (5) = 23

Ibid is able to tell everyone that the dinosaur here is actually a Tyrannosaurus, a terrifying creature that can track by scent alone. He can tell the Pathfinders something else that they likely know: they are extremely lucky that this one is dead.

Four lizard-like humanoids crouch in the center of the nest. Each is clasping one of only four remaining dinosaur eggs and look like they're about to crack them open to make a final meal of them. The corpse of what the companions assume to be an Aspis Consortium agent is partially consumed and lying discarded against the northern cliff wall. Clearly the eggs taste better than he did.

Ok, so Snowball has a range of 25' + 5/2 levels so I am at a range of 35', so I move to 35' of Elaine

Here is a chance for redemption

Drawing his scimitar, imbuing it with magical energy, Finarin advances close, but not too close to the lizard men. Drawing upon his arcane powers, he send a small ball of packed snow hurtling towards the nearest Lizardman. The snowball grows in size and speed, reaching critical mass, just before exploding all over him.

Elaine fort save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

Finarin's snowball smashes into Elaine's face, and she shakes off the snow. Her cold-blooded nature should mean she is slowed by the chills, but a hot rage wells from within her.

All four lizardfolk scream in unison. It is a horrifying sound, and much deeper than the screechy kobold wailing. Each of their scales reddens in hue, they appear to grow bigger and blood fills the whites of their eyes. -- Everyone recognizes that they are entering a rage state, very similar to what they have seen barbarians do.

George and Jerry hurl their javelins at Finarin.

George Javelin vs Finarin, 30 ft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Both hurled implements of death find their mark, smashing themselves into Finarin's thigh and shoulder respectively before falling to the ground. The devious reptilians then take up positions behind neighboring columns Granting them cover (full cover from the front).

With their friends having hurled their javelins, Elaine and Cosmo charge into combat. Elaine grips her morningstar in both hands and charges the elf who smashed her in the face with a snowball.

Rapier Attack vs George (Divine Favor, PA) (#2): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
