Ready when you are! Keep chatting on the gameplay thread, dot in, whatever. Feel free to share purchases you've made here, or just keep them on your ITS.
Everyone, please update your taglines as well as your main statblocks before saying "ready". Thanks!

![]() |

I will hopefully have it all updated tonight! Looking forward to this!!

![]() |

Oh no! Finarin has gone Goth!
Be scared, all!

![]() |

Ready - say hello to emo - mod - teenage Finarin. We'll try him on for size and see where it goes. As I mentioned at the end of the Bloodcove thread, I had planned something like this but was waiting until he 'almost died' moment. Bloodcove fits that nicely.

![]() |

All of that angst because Gunari chose Miro to heal first? :)

![]() |

So, out of curiosity, what APL are we going to be at. I am guessing we're going to be at the 4-5 tier.
Looks like:
Gunari: 4
Miro: 3
Cyrus: 4
Ibid: 4
Amaranti: 4
Finarin: 3
For sure, it'd be good if Finarin and Miro got an extra cron in ;)
That puts us at 22 / 6 = 3.67, which rounds to 4. So, we'll have a bit of a challenge on this one, since we're playing high tier and about as low as we can be!

GM Damo |

Yep. Definitely 4-5 tier. Did that little calculation a while back (in the Zedroom, I think). ;-)
Gunari! Love that you have a "Little Buddy"... don't like you saving aliases on him, though, by not calling him Gilligan. :-P

![]() |

"Eep EEEP eep EeEp!"
Poo flies towards the GM screen.
Gunari chases down the naughty monkey...
Better? Gilligan was already taken

![]() |

It is odd how avatars mean so much. I liked this one to show his new crazy. He also has the long hair and the black and white cowl.
As our characters evolve, it only makes sense, to me at least, for them to change a bit. And hey, if I don't like how he acts, we go back to the haughty elf.

Much better! Shows real commitment. ;-)
If you prefer Little Buddy, by the way, by all means leave it as that!

Since he has hit 20PP, he's going to get a couple of more vanities.
1PP -> Caravan Traveler (kn: local specialization - Szcarni)
4PP -> Master of Trade (10% discount on one item per scenario - T.E.)
(total expenditure of 11pp this level)
Purchase: +1 Cloak of Protection at 10% discount.

![]() |

Level up complete (I hope).
Highlights:
Shield ally: When Amaranti is within Kaisharga's reach, he receives +2 to saves and AC, marked in parentheses
2nd level spells (Haste, WTF!?!?!)
Poor Kaisharga stays at 3HD, gets two evolutions: Mount, Skilled(perception)
Buying misc items, notably Cloak of resistance +1

![]() |

2nd level spells (Haste, WTF!?!?!)
/drools

![]() |

Yeah it just sucks to wait till level 4 to ride that beast.

![]() |

I think most of the bad rep comes from way too cheap Pounce, and a couple of broken archetypes (which are banned anyway from PFS)
But yeah, when I saw Haste on the 2nd level spell list, I started to understand the hate :P

![]() |

Cyrus, the fresh level 4, is ready for action!
Only 1 more chronicle sheet (at 2 Fame) until I hit that 'magical' 20 mark and qualify for some faction specific rewards. Can't wait to see what happens to Ibid if Cyrus dies and is raised as an elite guard for the ruby prince... :) Cyrus the Risen Flea.... kind of has an interesting ring to it :)

Over PbP, it's not such an issue, but Summoners also get more than the lion's share of the time at the tabletop. Their go, their summon spells' go, their eidolon's go... always with the shuffling of the paper trying to find the right stats for this or that...
That explains the hate, too. Felt by necromancers, wild mystic druids and summoners alike.

That explains the hate, too. Felt by necromancers, wild mystic druids and summoners alike.
And Conjurers, and to a lesser extent, some clerics.
Of course, then there are the I AM BARBARIAN! that kill everything with one blow... Gunslingers that "never miss"... Alchemists that blow ALL the shît up... yadda yadda yadda.

GM Damo |

To balance things out, I think they brought in the kineticist. Min-maxing and I only got a 1d6+6 ranged touch attack at level 1. Not bad, but still, nowhere near what you can get min-maxing other classes!

![]() |

I should have Ibid all set tomorrow night GM Damo!

![]() |

So, Endure Elements is on the following lists:
Cleric
Investigator (Alchemist)
Summoner
However,
Ibid can only give the spell to himself (as it is an extract), unless he's learned the infusion Alchemist Discovery.
So, we'll need six per day (assuming Karshaiga isn't around all the time)... I guess we need to wait to see how many days we'll need of this.

![]() |

It is also on sorcerer/wizard, among others... At least according to the prd... Endure elements

true, but I was focusing on what we had! Three of our four spellcasters can cast (well, "cast" in the case of Ibid).
As it stands, if Gunari cast it twice, and Amaranti cast it twice, and Ibid drank an extract, we'd be one short.
Since I was already considering buying a second Pearl of Power I, I may go ahead and do that (or if anyone else had a Pearl I, I could just borrow it).
This would allow me to cast it three times without too critically harming Gunari's combat capability (he'd still have 3 castings of 1st level spells).
Alternatively, if everyone had a Pearl I, only Gunari would need to cast it. I am assuming, right now, that Amaranti does not have it on his list?

GM Damo |

Amaranti doesn't have it on his list of spells known, so he'd have to use a scroll (summoners are like sorcerers and can't just pick up spells). Ibid doesn't have it in his formula book (unless he does and it's just not on his profile), so he'd have to learn it and scribe it in first (or use scrolls). You also don't need them. There are alternatives... but I will admit that using endure elements will definitely help you out.
Aya's given you the best advice I feel she is able to give on the subject, so it is up to you.

![]() |

Well.... That makes sense :)

I don't think we'll need endure elements for the travel time, but it might be useful once the legwork begins. Everyone buys 1-2 scrolls?

![]() |

I am thinking this might be a useful addition to my list of consumables anyways - and I can cast it on myself if absolutely necessary with UMD. Knowing we should only need 1 (2 if things go horribly wrong) makes the decision much easier.
Finarin - I'll shield you if you endure me...
Awwwkward....

![]() |

Sounds like we all should pick up some hot weather clothing for 8gp, do most of our traveling at night, etc. Gunari may still have to use the spell, at times, given his heavy armor, but he has two scrolls already. If need be, he can cover his own use/need. Ibid could learn it for cheap (or we could burn a scroll, if needed).

![]() |

I have a pearl, we can use it, but I'd like to save it for combat. What about a scroll of 5 castings for 1 PP. I'd buy that for a dollar. Seriously, Finarin can buck up 1 PP for that if it is something we want. Gunari and Cyrus have been generously sharing so I'd do it if is vailable.

![]() |

Miro has been hoarding for quite some time. I'll pony up the 1 PP, if possible.

![]() |

If it isn't on the Bard list, can I buy a different type of scroll and let someone else use it? If so, I purchase THAT type of scroll with 1 PP.

![]() |

@Finarin you can get a scroll with 6 castings for 150gp, so even better.
@Miro, yes, you can definitely by the scroll for someone else to use. Otherwise no one would ever buy Breath of Life scrolls :)

![]() |

Ready Miro, rock, paper, scissors for the scroll -

![]() |

Does anyone recall which thread we talked about how adding spells to a spellbook works in PFS? I thought this group discussed it, but I'm not sure which thread that would have been on. I was hoping to add more spells to Ibid's book to help round him out.

![]() |

Sweet, thanks Damo! I'll have the finishing touches completed on Ibid, and make sure he has endure elements and hot weather clothing.
Are you sure you didn't want to have me compete an impossible task before giving me that info :)

![]() |

Chris just texted me, he is driving right now... Assuming he used talk to text :)

Sorry for the delay guys, post is up! (not that it can salvage what my darn knowledge check let down)

![]() |

So I've got an idea that involves me walking around the man, outside the circle, demonstrating the sharpness of my blade as I describe how effective we were with some things in bloodcove, culminating in me vanishing, then reappearing in an acrobatic charge as I tumble towards him, blade flashing, only to fly by him, not actually touching him. The hope would be to scare the pants off him and make him try to run from me.
I don't have time to post tonight... So if someone else has an idea, jump on it! Just thought I would throw that out there. If no one else has beat me to it, I will get the post up tomorrow morning.
