Whiteclaw
Whiteclaw stays by the door during the interrogation guarding it and she laughs softly after the orc is set free. "You should have killed him." she says. "Not only for what he did to those prisoners, but to ensure that he could not rally patrols and cut us off. Still, if he does, we'll know we got them all."
Whiteclaw
Plan? Do you have one?
Break down the door and kick badguy butt! Nice simple plan, eh :)
Whiteclaw backs a good distance away from the door and then charges it, trying to smash it down.
Str check (dunno if a charge gives bonuses here, but it would look cool!) 1d20+3=20.
Rev DM
I don't think charging will add to the roll, but Arianwyn has a long readied action at hand to help you.
United in their desire to eradicate the evil at work in this place, eladrin and gnoll charge the door. With a loud splintering sound, the bolts give way under their combined assault.
You find yourselves in a short corridor, evidently well used, confronting another door. From beyond, Reason can hear the hiss and crackle of flames.
Rev DM
The door opens quite easily, almost as though the occupants had been expecting you...
You see a smithy, but a smithy with a hellish difference. Standing in front of the blazing forge is the hunched form of a deformed ogre. His huge shoulders remind you that whatever he lacks in stature, he more than makes up for in strength and there is an un-nervingly acute look in his eyes.
A further four orcs stand in battle readiness, supervised by a one-eyed figure wearing the insignia of Gruumsh. There will be no surprise here and no quarter given.
You note also that all your foes are armed with weaponry made from the hideous blight metal.
In the silence, the wounded orc you met earlier speaks. "That's them."
Important stuff. The forge is extremely hot. Landing in it gives you an automatic 2d6+2 fire damage and you take a further 2d6+2 if you start your turn there. The table (with the grey thing on it) is a large anvil and the grey stuff is blight metal, waiting to be turned into weaponry. The boxes are difficult terrain. There is also a cooling tank of water. It is difficult terrain as well, but creatures pushed into it are restrained and need to make an athletics/acrobatics check (DC10) to get out.
Your foes are the following:
Garok - deformed ogre
Brainpeeler - Eye of Gruumsh
Ugly - the orc you met before in the courtyard
Tusky, Stomper and Ripper - orc Beserkers
ROLL INITIATIVE PLEASE and indicate where you are on the map. You are entering through the large doors on the right.
Vel
Vel drops her sleep enchantment in the middle of the field (I10), slowing Garok, Tusky, and Ugly.
Sleep vs Garok, Tusky, Ugly Will (1d20+8=16, 1d20+8=20, 1d20+8=22) In the unlikely event that hits Garok, she uses her orb to give him a -2 to save
Rev DM
Tusky and Ugly's movements slow perceptibly as Vels's spell hits, but Garok is entirely unaffected. He remains silent, and flexes his arms gently, waiting for the opportune moment.
Hits Tusky and Ugly, who are now slowed and will fall asleep if they fail their first save. Misses Garok, but he's still slowed until he saves.

The Rogue Knight moves instantly to engage his first foe, slicing efficiently into Stomper and marking him as his own special property.
Garok unwinds an immensely long arm and reaches into the forge. Seemingly unaffected by the flames, he winds a ball of heat in his hands and hurls it towards the companions. The ground hisses as the blast hits it and sits glowing infernally as The Rogue Knight and Whiteclaw both feel themselves catching fire. Arianwyn spots the movement of the ogre's long arm in time an pulls his lithe body out of the way.
Gruumsh's Hellfire (Ref) v TRK, Whiteclaw, Arianwyn (1d20 5=21, 1d20 5=23, 1d20 5=11)
Gruumsh's Hellfire damage to TRK and Whiteclaw (2d6 3=15). 15hp damage to TRK and Whiteclaw.. Manually amended, it's supposed to be 2d6+3. IC is showing a nasty tendency to roll me max damage at the moment.
Starting your turn adjacent to the Hellfire means you take 1d4+2 damage.

Reason
Reason strides foward to the centre of the hellfire, enwreathing himself comfortably in the flames, and launches a bolt of light at Stomper.
Move to K16. Lance of Faith vs Stomper Ref (1d20+7=14, 1d8+5=10) Hit does Radiant damage, gives TRK +2 power bonus on his next attack to hit Stomper.
Rev DM
Reason blandly ignores the inferno at his feet and casually blasts divine light at Stomper. The orc can't move away in time and the tiefling demonstrates his own brand of fiery pain.
The flame ball is still there, so Whiteclaw, Arianwyn and TRK (if he hasn't moved) will all take damage from it at the start of their turns.

Kia Rubarka
Surmising that the corridor is a more defensible position than the middle of the room, Kia elects to stay there for a while. Moving L19, she does her remote control trick again with TRK.
Commander's strike through TRK on Stomper. (1d20+8=27, 1d12+8=17)
"Good."
Kia Rubarka
As an FYI, I have a couple of powers that can help with saving throws if it becomes necessary. Inspiring war cry allows Kia to let someone take a saving throw on her turn (encounter) and her Brooch of No Regrets can allow one person to re-roll a saving throw with +2 bonus (daily), so bear in mind that she could help in these cases. I dunno why, but I ave a feeling they might be needed soon.
Arianwyn
I take 5 hellfire damage. Teleport to G13 (move), take out Basalt Dog (minor), Activate Basalt Dog (standard), imbue him with one of my surges (free). He appears in H12. Action Point - Eldritch Blast vs Sto - 1d20+6 vs Ref = 9. Geez.
Arianwyn appears in a swirl of mist in the room, muttering seemingly to himself. Those nearest to him could perhaps hear, "Urho, brother of stone, hound of the earth, aid me now 'gainst the defilers of the land. I call thee by the ancient pacts.". A dog seemingly formed of rock appears next to him.
Rev DM
The sudden appearance of Arianwyn and his rock-hewn hound makes Tusky's eyes boggle. It doesn't look like a development he relishes, despite the warlock's eldritch blast flying over his shoulder.
"Garok, nobody mentioned dogs." he rasps.
"Rock can burn." replies the ogre, never taking his eyes from the ball of hellfire.
