Eltumal Woodsoul |

"We most likely got pretty turned around in the fog, so it will very likely be difficult to even find the coast, let alone find a ship that we could reach. Whatever we decide to do, we need to stay together. Whether we like it or not, our survival is tied to the survival to those around us."

Jivaji Varesh |

Jivaji nods as Eltumal speaks, "Yes, sticking together will hopefully save us from the same fate as Aldo and Gylwinth, those poor men..."
"So, as I said, I believe we should escort these women back to their village. If there is a strong indication, at that time, that we will not be enslaved, I would be willing to enter the village and communicate with the elder."

Joe "Mac" MacGillicuddy |

Joe raises an eyebrow to Jivaji. "Now wait a darn tootin' minute! First, none o' y'all want to go to the village, but now we're gonna go to the village." He scratches his head. "What's it gonna be fellas?! We've got to decide to do something. Or are we just gonna sit 'round here ALL dang day talkin' 'bout the good ol' days? You fellas are gonna have to come to some kinda decision. I know the quiet fella thinks Mormont's men ain't followin' us, but, what if he's wrong?" He asks as he starts to think about that last part about the "good ol' days." Joe then smiles real big. "You know, I sure wouldn't mind sittin' 'round talkin' 'bout the good ol' days."

Jivaji Varesh |

"Well, I think we should, at the very least, escort these ladies back. I'm just not very keen on actually entering the village when the ever-present threat of slavery looms overhead."
Jivaji shifts, uncomfortably.
"Of course, if you wanted to enter, we could not stop you. I just don't think it's a good idea, and I doubt anyone else does either."

Silent, the boy |

Silent goes through the painful process of trying to communicate through the slate board once more.
Why is running on water better? Can't drink the ocean. Does anyone even know if there's anywhere to run?
Wipe. Wipe. Wipe.
Jivaji's plan is good to me. If we leave these women alive in hopes to help us, the village knows our location and numbers. But that's not the same as walking in blind.
Wipe. Wipe. Wipe.
Does anyone else speak the women's tongue? That person and Mac should go in. The rest of us will wait at safe distance.

Shanosuke |

Tam's ape form suddenly starts swinging wildly about and hit nothing but air.......or Joe possibly.
Tam needs to make another two will saves.
Everyone else, make me perceptions.
This seems to be going no where so I'm throwing in a little motivation hehe.
You will have noticed the ape going ballistic just after Tam seemed nearly pulled off his feat. Other than the wild ghost ape flailing about, there is little else you can make out.

Silent, the boy |

Silent hits that DC with a roll, so I'll instead roll to try to detect what is making the little guy freak out. Maybe a really solid roll in concert with Scent will help me locate the perpetrator?
Perception 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33. <-- BAM! CLUTCH!
Silent's instincts kick in, and he quickly stalks next to the scuffling Jivaji and Tam, every sense straining to pinpoint whatever it is that is screwing with his little friend.

Shanosuke |

While the others hover over Tam trying to deal with the problem there, you senses pick up a faint disturbance just outside of the cave. You glance out just to see two barely visible spectral images floating about sixty feet from the cave entrance. They must be undead whatever they are and they seem to be using a power to attack Tam.

Joe "Mac" MacGillicuddy |

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
As Tam flails like a madman, Joe sees Jivaji attempt to grab something intangible. "What the heck?! Looks like our little buddy's in some trouble! I just can't tell what the heck kinda trouble!" Still trying to ascertain what it is Jivaji's doing. "What are you grabbin' at Jivaji?" He's barely able to make out what it is, if anything.

Shanosuke |

"Trying to hold him down!"
I don't understand, is he moving? Is he being dragged?
He is getting jerk by an invisible force just enough to make only him react. The ape is his own summon. Aside from the ape flailing about. None You guys really have any idea what is going on......except for silent the quiet one.[/ooc]

Nye Wajid |

Nye spins and prepares to lob an orb of acid at an attacker as he watches the Silent One rush out the cave entrance. Not seeing any glowing eyed attackers or giant spiders he defers to his arcane sight to see what might be out there.
Cast detect magic
Perception 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Knowledge Arcana 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Shanosuke |

Nye your detect magic follows a telekinesis spell to it's source.
You both see two Poltergeists not far from the cave entrance. Floating spectral forms hovering in the air seem to be trying to pull Tam out of the cave to....devour him possibly? Whatever the case, they are not friendly. You can attempt to alert the others or simply begin combat with them. If you do simply fight them without the others, post actions in spoilers please.

Mythril DM |

"Tam is in trouble! Ghosts are trying to eat him...curse this land!" The wizard runs to the entrance and throws an orb of acid out of cave.
Range Touch 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Silent, the boy |

Initiative 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16.
His only experience with ghosts being campfire stories, Silent doesn't have a clue how to combat them. He falls back in front of Nye and Eltumal, ready to lash out if an opponent closes. As he moves, his hands flash in their silent language.
Round 1
Fall back in front of Nye/Eltumal.

If the ghost-things stay at range and no one is in too much trouble, Silent will stay put, continuing to ready a power-attacking stunning fist in case an opponent comes after their squishier party members.
Ready a power-attacking Stunning Fist 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 - 1 = 9
---> Damage 1d6 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 2 = 9.
.
If any of the team-members get into melee with the poltergeists and show that they can be harmed with weapons, Silent will charge against the same poltergeist.

Damage:1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 5 splash for adjacent.Reflex DC 14 for half.
For both bombs, trying to throw them so they target one not surrounded in melee.

Jivaji Varesh |

Round 1
Just going to try to maintain and pin,
Grapple Maintain 1d20 + 3 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 5 = 11 If successful, Tam is pinned, and cannot attack. He can still make mental actions (such as will saves).
Looks like I lose the grapple.
Round 2
If he hasn't regained senses, attempt to grapple again
Grapple 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
That looks successful, but I'll have to attempt to pin in round 3.

Joe "Mac" MacGillicuddy |

"Ghosts! How the heck do we kill a ghost!" Joe shrugs and remembers the pain from the last undead they fought. Realizing he's still hurting from that battle...
Intiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Round 1
Joe digs in his back and takes out one of his potions and drinks it.
Clw potion: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Round 2
"Well, let's see if I can cut 'em." He says to no one in particular as he moves toward the nearest one while drawing his weapon.
Mwk. Scythe: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Damage: 2d4 + 7 ⇒ (1, 3) + 7 = 11

Shanosuke |

Sorry bout the long wait. Been kind of busy and real tired.
Funs stuff. Poltergeist do not move from their position. Instead, they throw twenty pound objects at you.
Round 1:
A rock get's thrown at Slice and scores a 18 to hit for 4 damage
A Tree branch is thrown at Eltumal for 15 to hit for 6 damage
Elutumal's bomb goes off. Hard to tell if damage is done but the images weaken.
As Joe downs his potion, Kaime will sprinkle something on his scythe. "Make weapon hurt them. Go!"
Jivaji tries to Pin Tam. Instead, Tam's ape swings at Jivaji dealing him 8 damage.
End of round. Both Poltergeists were caught in Eltumal's explosion but are still standing
Round 2:
Another rock is thrown at Silent and misses.
The second Poltergeist toss a rock at Kaime hitting her for 5 damage.
Eltumal tosses another bomb. Another nice boom. One of the Poltergeists turns into a hazy mist.
Joe runs forward and puts the other out of its misery.
There are now two harmless auras floating.
For some reason, Jivaji is attacking you. He must have been driven mad by the monsters. Do you wish to attack him or let him pin you?
Okay, Fight has ended. Kaime is now pulling at Joe in earnest. "We go to village now! Before more show! Village fight them all the time. Come we go." She will try and drag Joe with her.

Eltumal Woodsoul |

"Well, I suppose these poltergeists have made our decision for us. Kaime just proved that we may in fact be better off at the village. If the powder she used is Alchemical in nature, I may be able to replicate it, and then we may be able to move on if we wish. In any case, we should probably leave this area."

Jivaji Varesh |

Jivaji's body flumps down on Tam as the ghost-shaped ape dissipates.
Quickly rolling off of the halfling, Jivaji stands up and dusts himself off. "I am sorry, friend. It seems your beast spirit lost control a bit? I was attempting to hold him down so he didn't hurt anyone." His hand absently drifts to a ruffled clump of feathers where the ape-fist connected with his head.
"I agree with Eltumal, our hand is forced, it seems. We will have to be careful, but we will have to leave now."

Shanosuke |

Kaime nods. "Okay. We go." You all gather your things and follow Kaime and her follower to her village. You follow for a good several hours. It is about seven PM. It is close to dark. As you approach the village, several women in armor with weapons in hand come flooding out of the village and surround you. Kaime starts shouting at the newcomers in her strange foreign tongue. Many of them shout back. You all realize that there is nothing you could say to help your cause. After a few shouting exchanges take place, they finally allow you to enter the village. Kaime leads you all through the village. All the villagers are female elves, humans, half-elves, and drow. There are almost no men to be seen. The one man you do actually see is tied up and led around like a dog. This does not bode well. You are all quickly brought before a triad of women. An elf, a human and the head of the group, a drow. They all stand before you. Kaime approaches the drow and begins to speak in their native tongue. The drow woman holds out her hand for silence. She then approaches the rest of you. "Your are not men of any tribe. I see a lycanthrope, a Tengu, a kid. Interesting. How have you come to this place?"

Eltumal Woodsoul |

Silent, the boy |

Silent silently agrees with the decision to go to the camp, If this place is going to be constantly attacked by undead, I don't want to be here… maybe the village will have some insight for us.
He's initially annoyed that his nature is revealed so easily by the women he saved, but then realizes there is at least a certain freedom to not having to hide it. True to his name, he stands stoically as the others do the talking, keeping his eyes and ears open for anything unusual in this village… ya know, other than the whole man = slave thing.
Also, has there been any healing/recuperating down since the two undead fights? I have that Silent is down to 4 hp,and I'd love to either make sure to set aside some time to heal or get some healing spells/pots handed out to anyone who got roughed up.

Joe "Mac" MacGillicuddy |

Yeah, I think several of us are down a bit.
Unsure of what Eltumal is saying, Joe speaks up. "Well, there's this Mormont fella. He's out to destroy everything he can. And I ain't kiddin' about that neither. We were all part of this town that he ransacked and we are the only survivors. Well, intially there were eight of us but we lost a couple of our people to the jungle already. Anyhow, Mormont and his many men, and when I say many, I'm talkin' 'bout thousands, killed everybody in our town. The women, the children, grandfathers, grandmothers, daddy's. It just makes me madder 'an spitfire thinkin' 'bout it!" Joe stops a moment to collect himself, hoping to keep from blowing up. Breathing calmly again, "Anyhow, we've been runnin', and that's how we wound up here." He finishes, figuring that pretty much sums it up.
