Quig scores two decent hit, while Zayobo struggles to adjust hit aim, as does Lira. From the mounted gun, TRS scores a direct hit. Krensher gathers some sand.
Severly wounded, the sand creature lets out an ear-piercing screech, which makes its way through Zayobo, and just falls short of Quig

Zayobo's ear-membranes shatter with a burst of crimson (or whatever color Vesk blood is). He collapses into the sand near Krensher.
-7 HP, and dying I presume. I don't know what an RP is, but Krensher used three of them to stabilize, so I'm going to do that too.

RP are resolve points. You have a pool of them you can use to do things like stabilize and get back up to one hit point.

DM Kludde |

Lira manages to fake out the creature, and manages to land a shot on its skull. It's a very thick skull, though. Zayobo collapses, but TRS means business, and fires the ship-mounted gun at the torso of the insect-like sand burrower, bursting it open like an overripe Eoxian salt egg.
Special delicacy eggs that undergo accelerated fermention with necromantic energy. You don't want to be close when one bursts, though
Combat over!
The Unbound Wayfarer is a total loss. Even worse, the seven dessicated corpses, along with gnawed off bones nearby suggest there are no survivors to the mission.
There's some characteristic dents in the hull of the wayfinder. It looks like it took fire from a coilgun or a railgun.
Within the wreck, there is very little of value. The main computer is beyond repair, but still show a hint of residual power coursing through it. The control panel has an indentation that is shaped just like the starfinder insignia the party received earlier.

DM Kludde |

You'd need some kind of healing. On a meta-gaming note, we're almost done for this part, so you could just investigate with Krensher and Zayobo knocked out
The computers briefly flash to life, and display a string of sites visited by the unbound wayfarer. A wasteland planet called Elytrio that displayed signs of scattered technology. A sentient asteroid called Lamentia teeming with morlock “children” in the Vast. A massive space station called End of Bright Things stuck between the orbits of two blue dwarf stars. A stormy, oceanic world called Wealdriad, with upthrust columns of basalt piercing the storm-tossed ocean’s surface.
Finally a planet shows up in the logs, but no surface data. The coordinates are too damaged to display. A side-compartment opens up in the console, revealing a clear spindle, slightly iridescent.
The final entries entries in the black box show a damaged video recording of a huge black ship, and the recording of massive torpedo blasts rocking the deck. It would seem that most of the crew was already dead and long gone before the ship ever hit the surface.
The ship yields little else of value, but at least the fate of the unfortunate crew is now known. A little wiser, a little sadder, the party retraces its steps to the Oddysey. The engines warm up, and in a cloud of dust, the ship rises off the surface, into the atmosphere and the void beyond.
This is a new quest, so let's just assume the ship hold enough medical equipment to patch up Krensher and Zayobo
If only it were a void.
A warning klaxon blares, and the ship lurches. The asteroid field around the world of Ulmarid is more agitated than on the descent down to the surface. Although it’s not clear what has caused the anomalous activity, what’s certain is that you must reach safer altitude before a more serious collision occurs.
I need a piloting check. The captain can aid the pilot as per regular ship combat actions

DM Kludde |

Krensher encourages Lira to avoid the asteroids in his own special style, and she deftly does so. Beyond the rocks, though, is a new threat. A large vessel of rusted metal slips from behind an enormous asteroid, its weapons already firing. The front of the ship resembles a stylized skull with crossed bones beneath—a clear indication of space pirates!
Not much of a surprise to see this ship appear, after all the damage observed on the Eoxian vessel, and the flight recording of the Unbounded Wayfinder. In fact, the starfinders can be quite confident that their knowledge of the ship gives them an advantage.
he huge pirate ship looks exactly like the description in the logs of the crashed vessel, down to the armament. It's armed with a forward coilgun and a torpedo launcher, aft has a gyrolaser and there's a turret with a coilgun. Its flanks are exposed, and it has only light shields. That torpedo launcher is killer, though.
