Out of the two options...a possible TPK from moving on while having all expendables gone, or a possible TPK from trying to rest, Is probably the reason no one is rushing to a decision.

Can you offer a third more viable option to help us move forward?

Don't you have means you get back down the cliff? You can certainly make it back to the bug cave on the cliff without difficulty. Then it's climb or whatnot to get to the bottom. You found that area to be safe enough.

if i remember correctly we are 200' up. so i personally don't, no

OK, you can rummage around in here and find a lot of rope. 300'

dude halfling

well, if we're going to go all that way back to the cliff, Tirion has 100' of silk rope in his Handy Haversack -- and Boots of the Cat! seems like a hassle to go all that way, then come all that way back again to get where we are now -- but we need rest. How long does it take to make a mecha? (will the hobbits have new mechas to ride in the morn)?

I seriously doubt that the gm will allow me to create more mecha without additional punishment.

Less abusive mecha yes, fast zombie mecha, no.

dude halfling

how 'bout stealth mecha with laser beam eyes? *want*

I thought where the draogns were slepping.. That was suggested so I went with it. It makes no sense to go back the way we came and have to fight our way through s*&@ again the next day..

Other than the fact that you kicked up a hornet's nest under a giant army, and decided to sleep in the middle of the nest.

dude halfling

we might still be able to make the dragon's "nest" a good place to rest: I highly doubt there was a lot of messing around with the dragons when they were here -- we just need to make it appear the dragons have not left. If the locals remain convinced that disturbing this chamber is ill advised, we'll be fine.

That assumes we didn't hear a PA over the standard Public Address system announcing the dragon's departure -- or some other mechanism that makes the sudden event common knowledge...

With this being Gungs vs Magic campaign its kinda hard not to stir up a hornets nest mind you..

Not like they had an extremely stealthy scout who could check things out and report back or anything.

See first encounter in area.

dude halfling

so we need to capture or fool the scout that apparently routinely checks on the dragons: anybody got a dragon suit in their packs?

perhaps we can hide behind that altar in the room to the south east instead...

Unnamed

i have a silent image scroll handy

It would be best if you were situated on the map. I have placed everyone in the room you said you were staying in, but I would prefer to know exactly where you are.

dude halfling

I have placed Tirion behind the altar in the room to the southeast...

So you are off sleeping by yourself out of view of the others?

You were supposed to be staying in 12, which was where the dragons had been.

It appears all of us will be hiding behind the altar for sleeping purposes.. Bo will witch his last teamwork feat for stealth synergy..

dude halfling

you've carried on about how sleeping in the dragon room = automatic TPK, so I recommended hiding behind alter instead...

evidently others have jumped on that idea -- but without actually saying as such.

I carried on about sleeping in a place in which you just slaughtered a small part of a large army. The individual room is not particularly relevant.

Bander will activate a scroll of silent image to make the room look empty by the alter

I don't know why we didnt leave like originally planned. Bander is not going to argue, and we are now committed...but whatever

Silent image can't do what you want it to do. It cannot be used for mass invisibility, which is what you are trying to do.

putting up a basic wall to hide us-just looks like the room, like you allowed me to do when we were sniping from the mountain top. So the room should look a good 5 feet smaller, but maybe no one notices

You can put up a wall, but it will change the dimensions of the room, and the altar is more than 5' from the wall, so it will have to be further out. You can do that. You will also have to concentrate on it to keep it up.

About and hour into Bander' watch, a cloud of fog fills up the area (indicated on the map).

Bander, being the only one awake, gets to act. The fog is particularly heavy.

Bander maintains his focus activates improved invis and kicks whoever is near him preferably BO

Bo is awakened.

Might as well do initiative since we know something is amiss.

Tirion's Initiative roll: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

I was hoping logic would win out, since that totally makes sense. but I will pop my shield wand out of my wrist and activate that, then 5 ft step and kick Drainy awake

1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25 vs DC 20

Logic would also have the fireball light your clothes and everything you are carrying on fire as well. Not to mention consume all the local oxygen so you asphyxiate. Sure you want to go there?
