Bill has a look around the hole, looking for a secure place to tie off the rope. If needed he will break a wall so a rope could be tied around a supporting beam.

Dwarf. 16/16hp. AC 10, T 10, FF 10. F 5, R 0, W 3, Initiative 0. Perception 7. Climb 3. Stealth 0. Rockjaw Runefinger, Dwarven Barbarian 1

Or we could go down a floor and save ourselves 10-15 feet of rope? Especially since we have no idea how deep the hole is?
BTW Hi Nitrus! glad your back :) How are you doing?

Rockjaw unravels the rope slung over his shoulder and begins tying it together into one continuous length. After that he goes and pounds a Pinon (think metal stake) into something secure, the back side of a beam for instance. He finishes off by tying the rope to the pinon and testing it for weight.
While he works, he talks to the group in short, gruff spurts.
I got'a hunnred feet o rope. Anyone else add to that? When I looked down tha hole from 'low, it was at least a hunnred feed deep. We will have to lower those that cant climb down, I volunteer for point.
Not wanting to get stuck at the top (wait, what about the bottom???) of a hole and unable to get down without doing a grand swan dive. Falling rocks and all that.

Even assuming we're on the bottom floor I'm not sure we've been told the distance as of yet. I'm kinda waiting for that lol. Someone can cast Light on a coin or something and drop it into the hole to see how far it goes before the coin stops. I have no desire to get halfway down and run outta rope.

Its an easy climb down. The tunnel does a small spiral you are unsure but it appears to level out but it goes out of sight.

Tying the loose end around his waist and giving the free rope to the others, Rockjaw starts his desent into the black abyss muttering something about holes a nd Torag.or other.

what do you mean by an easy climb? DC5?
Bill, using the rope and going slowly and carefully, goes down the hole. Sweat beads on his forehead as he does so. Obviously he is not very happy right now.

climb, take 10 | 10+2-3=9

I had considered a 10 an easy climb. Lol.

The rock And the shield make slow but true, progress. As they reach the curve the hole levels out and no need for the rope remains. Not too far those with dark vision see the exit, about ,30ft further down. You also begin to notice Foul smell That's sweet, much like the smell of decay.

Dwarf. 16/16hp. AC 10, T 10, FF 10. F 5, R 0, W 3, Initiative 0. Perception 7. Climb 3. Stealth 0. Rockjaw Runefinger, Dwarven Barbarian 1

You remember that earlier episode of me trying to climb up 15 ft?
Theres no such thing as an easy climb!

Thars a door at the end o the tunnel. OI! YOU AT THE TOP, COME ON DOWN. THARS A DOOR HERE!! he calls up to those still at the top of the hole.
Rockjaw then pulls out his shield and hammer in a very defensive position while slowly inching toward the door, making sure the others can get down safely.
weapons drawn, total defense, taking 5 ft steps towards the door so the others can come down safely.
Edit: i just went over my skills a bit, i forgot to add str, so +3 to the above. Since we seem to be doing a bit of climbing, i put it in my header.

As more light comes down you see the open exit but suddenly are aware of the amount of dried blood at your feat and along the tunnel. As you reach the exit you poke your head out and what you see will for ever scar you. In the room you assailed by the stench of rot as carcasses are piled waist high to a dwarf around the room. Up near the "front" of the room there is an alter from which emanates a cold chill, along with the same man you same earlier. His back is turned and he seems to be working with something.

well come on in. Don't be afraid. In your deaths you will find fulifilmemt like never before!

As the voice echoes out into the hall Felix steps forward, the sight of the room making him sick. "I believe you are confused. No more shall die for your demonic plans," he smiles. "Well, excepting you of course"

He then turns towards Rockjaw and nod's towards the man, a slight smile playing across his lips. "Ready when you are." he says with a grin.

Coming down the tunnel, Arryn looks with disgust at the display. "What kind of twisted, derranged, perverted...thing could ever think that something like this was a good idea!? Did your mommy not love you as a child or something? Can't imagine why not!"

Arryn glances about the room looking for Daniel. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Arryn- you see Daniel tied up and hanging infront of the wizard, his armor us strapped on so you cannot fully tell if he is breathing but you think you saw him move slightly. What worries you most though is the thing the man seems to be working on something made of flesh, bones and jigsswed meat. Laying down its hard to grasp its size but it easily towers of you.

A most of you enter the sacrifical room an eerie greenish blue light flares to life in braziers from the wall.

hmhmhm. So you say. But, did you know I have been here near a month? A month! Within the orders very city. That is the slackness and weakness of those you serve. Hiding in the shadow of there former glory and strength,, slowly rotting amd coming to ruin. Fortunately for you. You and your friend will find the fullfilment you have so sought as the first food of the great beast brought forth by urgathora! I think we will start with your paladin friend here. Now come feed your corpses to the dark god of undeath, and let your strength flow into my creation! Arise my child! Your food awaits you!

As he finishes his speech the alter seems to pulse with unearthly and evil power sendimg chills down your spine. Then a gruesome creature seemingly knitted from allanner of things and flesh arises from the alter, blood and oozes flowing from it from everywhere. As it rises several corpses, rise up around you. Some nothing but bones, others a mash of rotten flesh.

As the monstrosity arises a small doorway opens next to the man glowing an eerie purple and he steps through.
heheh. I believe I will be seeing you again my friends, hopefully we will be on the same side that time!

As Felix entered the room a strange sensation overcame him and he almost fell to his knees, but the sight of his friend in trouble brought fire back into his eyes. And with a fierce yell Dragon's Challenge on the big nasty he rushed forward without a thought for the other enemies, drawing his nodachi from his shoulder as he reached the being, bringing it down full force into the creature.

Even as Felix was covered in the blood that gushed from the creature the fierce light in his eyes gleamed through, his sword buried deep into the creature.

Also, since I charged, Iaijutsu striked, and challenged my AC took a humongous hit. So for the AoO I'll have an AC of 16 (charging + challenged), for attacks from the big nasty until my next turn I have an AC of 14 while vs everything else an AC of 12. Dis gonna be good.

And just to prove I have the actions: Swift action to challenge, full-round to charge, pulling sword from scabbard while charging to trigger Iaijutsu strike and bringing it down on the beastie.

As you bring your blade to bear in a lightning fast strike you cleave through its arm almost cleanly but as soon as your blade pull free it begins to reknit. It turns to regard you. you hurt it but it does have DR. And A very high HP pool that is remarkably lowered now though

As life flows back into Felix he steps out of his defensive stance and peers around. "Getting awfully crowded in here, isn't it? he says with a grin. "Should probably finish these small fry up before tackling that big monster. But I don't want to wait too long. It seems to be recovering somehow."

Attack Blue Zombie: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Damage: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

male Human Oracle (metal mystery) 3 (HP 30/30 | AC:21| T:11 | FF:20 | CMB: +4 | CMD:15 | Fort:+3 | Ref:+2 | Will:+4 | Init:+1 | Perc: +3 | Stealth:-2 | Speed 30)

leaden blades

If the skeleton in front of bill is still there he will move up a hit it with his warhammer. Otherwise he will advance to the boss guy and hit him

warhammer: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
damage: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 1) + 2 = 9

HP: 91/91; NL: 24; Force Ward: 5/20; Internal Buffer: 1 AC: 21 (touch 16; FF 16; +2 vs goblinoids; 15% chance to ignore crits or sneak attacks); CMD 20| F/R/W: +13/+12/+4; Init: +5; Perc: +12;

I advanced Aaryn his 5-foot step towards bignasty.

As your blades strike true with the wrath of righteous warriors the undead crumble before you leaving only the giant mesh of rot and bone remaining. In what you believe is the most human like thing it could ever do it lets out a roar of rage and again goes for the Cleric.

attack1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
attack2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

its first blow lands home, hitting Bill's ribs

damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

but suddenly as it moves to strike again Felix's first wound takes its toll, as it swings its arm back to strike the seams binding it together finally break, and the fetid arm falls off in a smattering of green goo, rotted body parts and fluids.

OK! I'm back! finals are over, didn't make quite as well as I hoped in all my classes but dammit I don't understand the logic behind databases. lol. anyway sorry for the long interpause.
