The door opens and inside is a lavish lounge.

Sumptuous hanging silks, plush cushions, and patterned rugs decorate this luxurious chamber. A cool breeze bearing the mingled scent of lotus flowers and perfume wafts through the room. The distant notes of a lively tune plucked out on a lyre are accompanied by the sounds of trickling water, birdsong, and feminine laughter.

Two beautiful women recline on the couches, eating figs and drinking wine. Their dress, while certainly millennia out of fashion is exquisite, their hair adored with fine jewels and golden braids. They both rise as you enter and bow low.

"Bastetabi," one of the women says in a pleasant alto voice. "We are honored with unexpected guests."

"I see Senenetka, by the Gods above and below, we are blessed. Let us share our Lord husband's hospitality with them." The other replies.

They turn to a table that is richly prepared with a sumptuous feast. They quickly pluck the choicest fruits from the table and place them on a golden platter. Then pour 7 glasses of rich red wine into golden chalices.

"Please, drink with us, so that we may offer you the protection of hospitality in our home," Bastetabi says as she offers you the tray of wine.

"And taste the harvests of Pharaoh's finest orchards," Senenetka says as she places the tray of fruit on a table near the couches.

"Ah but where are our manners Senenetka?" Bastebai says shocked. "Clearly these guests have encountered Mordecai and his men. They may think us treacherous due to our husband's jealousy. Let us taste a bit of the wine for them and a bit of the fruit for them. Acting as cupbearers for our guests so they know our generosity is genuine."

The women both take generous sips of the wine and each pluck a choice fig from the plate and take a small bite.

"Now, please guests. Honor us with a meal and your names."

It is not poison.

Knowledge Religion - Sometimes Pharaoh's were buried with their harem. How they're still alive is beyond you.

Sense Motive - They are sincere.

Know History - You don't recall any specific form of guest right within ancient osirion, but it is a relatively common concept.

For those who eat or drink:
It tastes like you're drinking dust and eating chalk. When you examine the food it seems normal, but it doesn't taste like any figs or wine you've ever had.

The cups and the plates are indeed fine gold, but the figs and the wine are nothing more than dust and desiccated flesh. As you look up at your hosts, you notice a glammer, their beauty is an illusion and behind the veil of magic are two dried corpses. Still they smile at you, with what is left of their lips. Yakima is extremely skeptical that what her eyes see is the truth. What language are the "Ladies" speaking?

Is it a will save to disbelieve? will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

if it becomes apparent that this is in fact an illusion and the two of them are undead as she suspects, she will warn the rest of the party and not do the rest of this post.

She will however take a cup of wine and do her usual alchemical process to detect type of potion (takes one minute, probably not subtle, but she really doesn't care if she offends).

"We had hoped to have some companionship. It has been a lonely thousand years and our husband has abandoned us." Bastetabi says with a true tone of regret.

"We were once beautiful, beloved and honored in these lands, but now."

The viel drops to see two drained corpses standing in front of you.

"Now, if we can not be loved, we shall be feared. For when our beloved regains his empire, we shall reign with him for eternity. Perhaps, you shall serve us for eternity as well." They say in unison, their voices no longer melodious and alto, but gravelly and terrible.
