So this would apply to your Slick infusion, right? If so, sure, I think that is ok. My understanding is that feats are not necessarily monster specific unless they say so.

This could give quite a bit extra boost to the witch, however. @René - don't read this message. :)

So, short answer is: yes, go ahead and take this feat if you like.

Thanks! It wouldn't apply to my Slick talent, ironically, because that's a separate SLA and not a part of the kinetic blast. It would apply to the form infusion I'm taking at this level, since it applies a Reflex save to the effect.

Kineticists are a pretty complicated class and the abilities can interact with each other in strange ways, so I want to be very transparent about what I'm doing with my character and such. It only gets worse from here so if I'm ever doing something you have a question about, please ask!

still a breeze compared to my Gunslinger/Inquisitor with a dozen different floating modifiers that can change at any moment, lol

So, here's the crunch for level 5!

HP: Half+1+Con+FCB for +10HP, total of 53.
No increase to saves or BAB, unfortunately.
New form infusion, Spindle!
Infusion specialization, reduces total infusion cost by 1.
Empowered metakinesis, can add 1 to the cost of a blast to increase damage by 50%.
Feat: Ability Focus (Kinetic Blast), increases DCs for my blasts by 2.
Skills: +1 to Acrobatics, Nature, Perception, Stealth, and UMD. 1 BG skill each to Geography and History.
Finally, my Kinetic Blast damage increases a step, from 2d6+6 to 3d6+7.

Skarn, for your other questions:

1) I think Trox is saying there is another campaign where people are using the same profile pictures for their characters, rather than there being multiple people in here with the same icons.
2) I believe so. We've got ourselves a regular warband!
3) I'm just a bog-standard Kineticist, no archetype. But my primary element is water so hydrokineticist just sounded cooler to me. I hit pretty hard and from pretty far, but I can mix it up in melee and I am a great healer, especially at the end of the day, where I can heal everyone up to full before we rest and sleep off any Burn incurred.
4) Our build rules were 20 point buy, background skills, and used Elephant in the Room feat tax rules (to answer your next question).

Reynard is an Alchemist (Beastmorph/Vivisectionist). Between the natural attacks from feral mutagen, sneak attack from Vivisectionist, and eventually pounce from Beastmorph, he's quite capable in combat. He also has skill in Stealth and Disable Device, so he can handle a lot of the traditional Rogue roles. Lots of skill points in general too. And he can brew potions and make other alchemical items. IC< he's researching a way to purge the tiefling 'taint' from himself and restore his family's lost humanity. In the course of his experiments, he's going to find a lot of other things. Feral mutagen was totally an accident. The claws and teeth weren't what he was going for there. Currently, he's made some progress in improving the amount of punishment he can take (ie, I took Spontaneous Healing as my discovery at 4 and Toughness as my feat at 5), which comes in handy, but is also more "nifty side effect" than intention. Don't be surprised if the future includes Wings, a Tentacle, Mummification, etc.
Things will get even weirder when he diverts into Master Chymist. He worships Nethys, of course. He's an alchemist, after all. And one trying to discover or invent new applications of magic, no less!

I'm pretty sneaky too, just, uh, not if I have to blast anything. That gets a DBZ style powering up (no, really, Gather Power is a super loud and visible effect with a 20 foot radius).

Speaking of, we really need to sell some old loot and redistribute. René has the wealth of about a 2nd level character. :-/

And Re: Ability Focus- Given that I pretty much cackle every round, it would really only help my Misfortune Hex. Which is still good. It's just not "This will affect nearly everything I do" good.

Yes, if everyone wants to do a check of your wealth level, that would be good to do now. I know it won't always be even at all times, but at this point, it should be relatively even.

You all currently have about 6100 in cash. Druamin is high on the percentage, but mainly because he has an expensive ring. There is also a very expensive cold iron +1 dagger unclaimed.

We should decide if I should track loot (using the loot link at top of page), or if you all want to just track your own. Right now we are somewhere in the middle.

Also, if we find you are all below, I might adjust here with a bit of a bonus.

With all of the recent changes in group makeup and all, I have lost track of something that could be helpful in this AP.

As many of you have noticed, 7 is a common theme, and the 7 deadly sins are a big part of it. The mechanics of the AP seem to indicate that each of you should be closely aligned with one or more of these sins - either for or against. So, I have a little homework here.

Each of you should pick one positive and one negative from this list to weave into your story (background or ongoing). You can pick more than one of each, but lets say not more than 3 of each, and for each positive you need a negative to balance it.

Envy
Charity - I have notes of Cordwin and Skarn here.
Gluttony
Temperance
Greed
Generosity
Lust
Love
Pride
Humility
Sloth
Zeal
Wrath
Kindness

You can post how your character fits here, or you can PM me if you want to keep it secret. It would be great if we had all of them covered by someone, but it isn't strictly necessary.

Thanks! Feel free to ask question.

What did we do that was charitable? Although my Brewmaster Trait, and the background for it, could certainly qualify. I'm the Prometheus of beer! Hopefully I won't get the same penalty!

I think Skarn will pass on Lust, as fun as that might be. Hmmmm, how about Sloth? I'll take Sloth and Charity!

When you say "closely aligned" and then say positive or negative I take it to mean that we can be, for example, opposed to Sloth so we are not lazy in the least. But then what does it mean to pick Zeal to balance it?

Skarn certainly wasn't going to pick temperance!

Knowledge | GSC | Mummy's Mask | WftC | RotR$ | Carrion Crown

Right - the idea here is to simply acknowledge a weakness or two in your character. So René's example is a good one - he does seem to actively try to avoid work, but he is also rather humble in regards to his abilities.

Wrath seems like an easy one - any backstory of someone killing someone close to you is easy enough to explain.

None of you seem too greedy to me, but it might be easy to "acquite" that trait. Gluttony could be easy too, especially for Skarn who might enjoy his brewing too much (and Pride comes to mind there too).

I assume that most of you want your characters to resemble all 7 virtues and 0 sins, so I am not looking to make your characters change their outlook as you see fit already. Just identify one (or more) that you could slip into if you weren't staying vigilant.

Cordwin can take greedy as he is greedy for knowledge even when acquiring it is not the best course of action.

Love would be the other one, not so much in a romantic sense, but he loves meeting new people and really takes an interest in them and what he can learn from them.

I am certainly not amongst those "most"; that sounds like at best, an incredibly boring character.

My desired story arc for René is that he'll grow into hero and wind up switching alignments to CG instead of CN. He's grown a little bit since I first started playing with him (namely he complains less about getting roped into everything to put his life in danger to rescue people), but he would still absolutely ditch the rest of the party to save his own skin. Eventually I hope for that not to be the case.

Druamin's rotund and stocky figure kind of gives away the fact that he has a slightly gluttonous side. On the other hand, while he over indulges, he also is quite generous in handing things out.

Foxglove Manor
Investigating the Manor to find out about the ghouls and find Aldren

B27 -- storage room. A bunch of rats
B28 -- wine cellar. Nothing here but some broken glass. Erond finds a secret nook with 800gp of wine.
B29 -- basement room. Two stained glass windows. One shows a man drinking green potion. The other shows the same man, dead but alive, being sucked into the box (see B4). The man turned into a lich.
B25 -- kitchen
B26 -- bunk room. No dust or mold. The mold is in a strange step-like pattern. The monkey head is magical, hungry decapitant. Pull the rope and it shrieks.
B3 -- main floor hallway. strange monkey mummy head. dark mold on floor
B4 -- dining room. East wall is stained glass. Monster rising from a seven-sided box.
pictures in stained glass: gnarled tree with enraged face (treant),
immense hook-beaked bird with blue and gold plumage (roc), a winged
centaur with a lion's body and woman's torso (sphinx), deep blue
squidlike creature with evil red eyes (kraken)
Cordwin indicated that the monsters were being sucked into the box.
Watch out for the box!
B9 -- library. Attack scarf! Likely a haunt. Some unresolved anger inhabits the scarf. Result of a murder.
B8 -- drawing room. Unaturally damp and moldy. (we didn't look at the window)
B2 -- main entrance hall. Smells of burning hair and flesh. The stuffed manticore comes to life momentarily on the second entrance into the room.
B5 -- couch room. White fungus. Eddies of dust but no wind noticeable. Looks like someone pacing. (we didn't check the windows here)
B6 -- washroom. Contains a tub with strange scratching noises.
B7 -- parlor.
B10 -- stairs leading down to the main floor
B11 -- child's bedroom. Faywen went pale here but didn't tell us about it.
B12 -- sitting room. More stained glass.
These windows depict a diverse array of animals and plants-from
north to south are a large pale and ghostly scorpi on, a gaunt
man holding out his arms as a dozen bats hang from him, a moth
with a strange skull-like pattern on its wings, a tangle of
dull green plants with bell shaped flowers, and a young maiden
sitting astride a well in a forest while a spindly spider the
size of a dog descends along a string of webbing above her.
B13 -- dark green, blue, black mold. Trox gets itchy. For a moment he thinks his face is covered with tumors.
B14 -- bathroom. iron tub, the floor sags under it.
B16 -- locked
B15 -- master bedroom. Room has been torn up. Painting of Iesha Foxglove is turned backwards. Druamin sense sadness. Rene, a wave of fear. Erond dizzy. Druamin hears a womans' voice saying "What do you get up to down in the damp below..."
