Thank you all for your well wishes and patience. Funeral is scheduled for Jan 6-8, but otherwise I am getting back into things here.

All, going into our third day of no power here. Just a quick note to say I’m alive, and I’ll post when things get going here again.

Power came back on today, after 102 hours. Give me the weekend to clean the place up and such, and I'll be all set come Monday.

Wow - glad power is back! That's a long time without power.

I am at Disney World until the 20th.

Brought my laptop but no power cord so that sucks.

Unless I find a cord I am not going to be on much until I get back to New York. Laptop is at 20%.

Sorry guys, I’ve been moving the past couple of weeks (every day I wasn’t working), and my new apartment doesn’t have internet yet, so I’m posting on mobile. I’ll try not to fall too far behind. I think that last attack against me should’ve missed with the buffs I have going, but I’ll take it as what I get for not staying up on my posting, lol.

Disney run happened a few days before I got there. The crowds were much more fit then normal. :)

Overall the crowds were not that bad and no one really caused a fuss about making indoors. We all felt pretty safe.

I've done the 5k on their Island before. Pretty easy run for an old man with bad knees and ankles.

Six years I was going to do the marathon, honestly I wanted to do the Goofy challenge at that point as I had just run Ragnar. My wife getting pregnant with our first kid sidetracked that and now at 50 it is hard to get the motivation.

My wife is the crazy Ragnar runner in our family. She has done 3 of them.

I'll stick with 5ks!

Hey, small world. I've also done the Disney 5k on Castaway Cay. I have the shirt to prove it. :-)

I wouldn't mind getting back there and doing it again.

Trox, 50 is no excuse. I'm 53 (on Monday) and 100 lbs overweight. Up until COVID shut everything down, I was running a 5k race every month. I was the slowest, fattest, oldest runner you've ever seen. But it was something I wanted to do. Planning to start up again very soon now that races in my area are starting to be held again.

It seems like we are all around the same age. I'll be 50 in September!

I'll hit 52 in May.

I hiked 6 miles today, and my ankles and knees are aware of it!

Ha! I saw that too late to fix it.

So, there I was, at Scout Camp. I get a text from another adult telling me that a third adult had tested Covid positive today. Yesterday I had spent more than an hour sitting around chatting with that very guy.

I do the right thing, report the exposure, and long story short, I am home from Scout Camp. There were tears, from my son, and some of the other Scouts, and maybe, just maybe, from me.

Hopefully a false alarm, and an abundance of caution, but I'm sleeping in the basement tonight, the wife is upstairs with the dog.

Ahh well.

Well that sucks. There are few things worse then having to abort am experience like that.

Tested positive for COVID. Been symptomatic for a couple days. This thing really zaps your energy but I'll try to keep up.

I’m just waiting for someone to do something. It sounds like maybe you want the waterfall or maybe you want to do some recon.

Hey folks. I’ve recently gone back to school, flight school. I’m hoping to be an airline pilot in a few years. I knew it would take a lot of commitment, but now that it’s underway I realize the commitment is going to be significantly more than I even realized. As much as I enjoy it, I’m not going to have time for gaming for a while. Maybe I can come back in a year or so when I’m done training and just trying to build up my hours. (I’m not asking you to hold a spot for me, to be clear), but for now I have to step away. It’s been fun, and I’ll miss it, but real life has to come first. I want this career, and in the short term that’s going to require some sacrifices. Hope I see y’all around some time. Best of luck, and happy gaming.

Speaking of RL, how is our GM doing? I'm in three games with him and haven't see much for a little while.
