OH! And The Tome of Secrets' Priest Class is, in my opinion, a healing monster! I've linked to it's PFSRD page.

Demaiv Neikar |

I actually plan on taking energy substitution (Acid), so I can make effective use of my bloodline arcana. I'll probably pick up magic missle next level, as there aren't many battle-mage friendly spells at level 1 anyway.
Admittedly, I'll be lacking some things wizards find basic, like feather fall, but that's what scrolls are for.

Actually Dem, I think that the paperwork are the letters that each of them received... that they were drawn here to play out some grizzly scene.
I think that Aesh would not be as filled in to draw the conclusion, but he is slowly getting filled in... I would comment, but I want to read the letters.

![]() |

Oh, my understanding is that the credentials that he was showing was the ring, and that the only papers were the letters. Am I wrong?

Hu5tru |

go to sleep in europe, zero posts. wake up in europe, 19 posts and my character seems like a chump.
I have even less idea what's going on as this is coming to a conclusion.
Also, another reason I'm not saying anything is because I haven't decided if I'll do the revamp yet.
Heavens oracle gives some useful arcane debuffs like color spray, hypnotic pattern and others. Would anyone be opposed?

Hu5tru |

Too complicated for me, I'm afraid. And the one divine spell I get per level is good for cure spells, but... I mean, c'mon, any divine character worth their salt has got to be able to raise dead at some point!
Would you mind terribly if I just switch this character's class, and keep the name and such? I don't think the background would need to change significantly to be a divine caster over an arcane one, though if it would confuse others, I can use my Merry alias.

Zelladania |

Ok DM, I think I'm confused about when you want checks. I wasn't trying to actually do anything other than just stating what she had seen for the sake of her companions who hadn't had the same vision. Therefore I didn't bother to roll for anything. Do I need to roll everytime my character just wants to say stuff?
Would you like me to go add to the post and roll a diplomacy check to try to get the bad guy to admit the truth of what I said? Or a bluff check to convince him we already know everything?

![]() |

Stuff
If you think you'll be getting the NPCs to...if you plan on your words influencing the NPCs, then make a Social Skill check. Each of the NPCs has a bunch of DCs that make them act differently. And you keep saying enough awesome things that GM fiat is giving you wicked bonuses! :)

![]() |

I just realized that I forgot about my Cha damage. My last two Intimidates were one lower... still good rolls though! :)

![]() |

Good job!
You wake completely healed; all damage and ability score damage is all gone!
Here is your NEW CURRENT TOTAL XP; this is the same for everyone. And I've calculated it all the way out, went through every post.
Holy Crap.
2590 XP.
Uh...
Level UP!
From here, you guys should head to Sandpoint. Other than that, it's your game! I'll see you in Sandpoint.
Well, so to speak.

Level up:
hp 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Bonus Feat: Dodge
Bravery +1
Included the scarf's bonus in saving throws

![]() |

Dani, was that an addendum to the house rules?
Normally feat every odd and ability bump every 4...
It wasn't in the first list of the House Rules.

Zelladania |

Begining of recruit thread
My house rules:
»A +1 to one attribute at every even level, no choosing the last one you placed it into (No +1 Dex at 2nd and then 4th. You couldn't do Dex again until 6th level)
»A feat at every level. This doesn't stack with the old feat progression, it replaces it.
»Reputation Score. You don't have to worry about it, heck, I'm only telling you just in case you wanted to take one of the Reputation feats.

Hu5tru |

After giving it some thought, I do not believe that I need to change Zelaria much mechanically in terms of stats, but I do need to change out a trait and some feats.
So:
Traits
Replace Fanatic trait with Birthmark (APG)
Feats
Replace Spell Focus (Enchantment) with Spell Focus (Illusion)
Replace Varisian Tattoo with Extra Revelation
Skills
Craft (Fabric Goods) +7, Heal +5, Kn. Arcana +8, Kn. History +8, Kn. Planes +8, Perception +5, Sleight of Hand +5, Spellcraft +8, Survival +5
Spells Known:
1st (4/day) Bless, Cure Light Wounds, *Color Spray (DC 16) Shield of Faith
0 Create Water, Detect Magic, Ghost Sound (DC 15), Guidance, Light, Mage Hand, Purify Food and Drink
*second level mystery spell
Class Abilities
Mystery
Heavens
Oracle's Curse
Haunted malevolent spirits follow you wherever you go, causing minor mishaps and strange occurrences (such as unexpected breezes, small objects moving on their own, and faint noises). Retrieving any stored item from your gear requires a standard action, unless it would normally take longer. Any item you drop lands 10 feet away from you in a random direction. Add mage hand and ghost sound to your list of spells known. At 5th level, add levitate and minor image to your list of spells known. At 10th level, add telekinesis to your list of spells known. At 15th level, add reverse gravity to your list of spells known.
Revelation(s)
Coat of Many Stars (Su): You conjure a coat of starry radiance that grants you a +4 armor bonus. At 7th level, and every four levels thereafter, this bonus increases by +2. At 13th level, this armor grants you DR 5/slashing. You can use this coat for 1 hour per day per oracle level. The duration does not need to be consecutive; it can instead be spent in 1-hour increments.
Spray of Shooting Stars (Su): As a standard action, you can unleash a ball of energy that explodes in a 5-foot radius burst dealing 1d4 points of fire damage per level. A successful Reflex save halves this damage. This attack has a range of 60 feet. You can fire one explosive ball per day, plus one additional ball per day at 5th level and for every 5 levels thereafter. You can fire more than one ball at a time, but creatures caught inside more than one simultaneous explosions only take damage once.

Thanks Dani,
I was only looking in the discussion thread at that set of House Rules. I will update my character to those standards now then... :)

Give Adanel a chance to post before continuing
I haven't read gameplay yet, but I agree regardless.
If you guys could ALSO post a level up changes entry in your profiles, I'd really appreciate it.
Hu5tru, I may be mistaken, but I think everything looks okay. Just remember to level her up.

Hu5tru |

Cool beans, her weapons and "armor" aren't changing any, it's mostly the fluff that is changing.
oh, and I'll think I'll spend the human favored bonus on skill points so I can give my oracle Sense Motive maxed as well... for 5! rock on!
Kay, level 2 stat increase to wisdom, and skill focus sense motive!

@Dem - I do not believe that the spoiler was meant to keep anything from anyone, but it seemed to me more of a way to indicate that we were speaking another language. It seems to me that not ALL of us might be Varisian in ethnicity, as a majority of Magnimar are, in fact, Chelaxian in descent. The Varisians as an ethnicity are actually treated quite poorly amongst the immigrated Chelaxians. For the most part, that is. (This is all with the assumption that this is in fact Golarion and it is as presented.)
I am thinking mostly of Rekkart, as Zelaria was making a reference to "their" law, which was why I chose to answer in Varisian.
In either case, no disrespect was meant, of course.
@Adanel - No disrespect was meant towards your character either. Hopefully Aesh will be able to make up for that slight. :)

Adanel |

Adanel is a Varisian by birth, but has spent much of his life traveling through different areas with his mentor.
And I know Aesh meant nothing against Adanel, it was merely adding some flavor to the posts that happened. Missing quite a few of them, I took some liberty to be creative.
