All right, fine I'll retcon the AOO and its attack on you. Since a 2 would still hit this bugger anyway...yeah he's got no AC for nuts.

Einar's first strike misses the advanced Cruxifixion spirit, due to its blurriness.

The Advanced Crucifixion spirit backs away from both Einar and Greta. Now 120 ft in the air!

Einar feels the pain of his soul being ripped out of his body as he collapses he collapses in a heap on the ground as a translucent copy of him is suspended above the spot he collapsed, crucified in midair to a translucent X shaped structure, held in place by translucent nails.

Mr Whiskers realizes the interior of the monastery is heavily warded. Scrying, or any form of peeking through doors is blocked, and there is a Forbiddance spell in place once past the doors.

Male Bleachling (Gnome) Oracle (Spirit Guide) 18 (HP 219+5/219+5) (AC 49/27/38) (CMD 24) (Fort +17, Ref +25, Will +17) (Init +2) (Perception+32)

Crummock: 1d20 + 12 - 6 ⇒ (20) + 12 - 6 = 26.

Eventually, Dimitri and Crummock manage to force their spirits back into their bodies, but it is a close thing.

Especially since, if Crummock had lost one more level, he would have lost the ability to cast Restoration...

Male Bleachling (Gnome) Oracle (Spirit Guide) 18 (HP 219+5/219+5) (AC 49/27/38) (CMD 24) (Fort +17, Ref +25, Will +17) (Init +2) (Perception+32)

With a shaky sigh of relief, Crummock channels his energy inward, rejuvenating his spirit.

He then does the same for Dimitri, and Einar.

So, three Restorations.

Crummock looks at the front door thoughtfully.

"Прямо тогда. Если это то, что они охраняли переднюю дверь, я считаю, что это будет жесткая гайка. Давайте не будем входить, как убегающая телега ..."

Russian:
"Right then. If that's what they had guarding the front door, I reckon its going to be a tough nut to crack. Let's not go in like a runaway cart..."

He then points at the main dome.

"Как насчет того, чтобы мы туда вошли?"

Russian:
"How about we go in through there?"

Since I can fly, Einar and Greta currently have Fly up, and Geist can Air Walk, I see no reason why we have to go in the front...

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Let me see if Einar got out first...yeah he makes it out with just 2 neg levels.

Einar will: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26

Crummock, Geist and Einar check out the main dome but find themselves repelled by the purple light.

Sorry. From the map and the description of the rooms(since they all have ceilings involved) - you can't air entry

Mr. Whiskers sits down and pulls out a book as Einar and Crummock try to find another entrance.

After about fifteen minutes study, he is ready to go.

Fill my spell slots.

"Shall I try to dispel the Forbiddance spell? If anyone has anything that would help me with this, now is the time to use it."

I plan to use Greater Dispel Magic, plus Arcane Reservoir.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Mr Whiskers tries to dispel the forbiddance, but realises the magic is too strong.

Dispel magic does not dispel a forbiddance effect unless the dispeller’s level is at least as high as your caster level.

Greater Dispel Magic is a different spell than Dispel Magic. Since it can do things that Dispel Magic can't, I was hoping it could work. Nasty, them making it CL 16 or higher.

Frustrated, Mr. Whiskers admits "It seems I can't get rid of it that way. There is still a different way I could try, but it is expensive and I can't do it today."

Limited Wish

Looking to the others, he asks "Do we try to break through anyways? It will hurt and we will not be able to teleport at all."

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

What were you trying to do with Limited Wish?

I suppose this:Produce any other effect whose power level is in line with the above effects, such as a single creature automatically hitting on its next attack or taking a -7 penalty on its next saving throw?

I haven't tried the limited wish, but it would be something like that. Perhaps a penalty to their caster level? That wouldn't make it automatic but would potentially allow the spell to be brought down.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

The effect is already in place and limited wish wording does not allow to lower caster level. Have you looked at the forbiddance spell? Its freaking expensive. At least 3000gp to begin with and 1500gp extra per every 60ft cube you're trying to ward. To take it down with only 1500gp of expenditure... Nah.

Alright then. It looks like we will just have to suck it up, and take the damage, in that case.

Before doing so, though, I would like to do a little buffing, since we now seem to be going into the BBEG's lair...

Freedom of Movement on everyone.
Shield of Faith (+4) on everyone.
Bone Fists (benefiting Einar and Geist)
Aspect of the Wolf on Geist.
Divine Favor on Crummock and Geist
Silence on a Pebble, which Crummock will then hold in his closed fist, to block line of effect.

I did different math.

To be able to make it so I can't take it out requires a 17th level caster. Assuming prepared caster, that means we will be facing 9th level spells while the best we have is 7th level spells. I doubt that they limited the NPC wealth, so the cost of the spell already in place doesn't matter.

Sounds to me like we need to take out some of the home field advantage or we will be smashed.

Retired to Triaxius

Any way to get rid of the negative levels?

'looks like we need to be ready for anything.' Following Crummock's lead Einar waits to the very last moments and casts shield, mirror image and Heroism. shrugging his shoulders, "Just in case right."

edit:
Before Einar begins casting he asks Crummock, "Crummock could you pull out your wand and heal some of these cuts and scrapes? Also, I feel drained anything we can do about that now?" negative levels?

Mr. Whiskers looks carefully at the protections on the building and does not like what he sees. Even if I can get through this, it would likely kill Nivean. I don't have any good way of telling what is ahead either, other than it is going to be very powerful magic.

I really hope Rasputin isn't that good at magic!

Looking back at their mad scientist, Mr. Whiskers asks "Виктор, ты можешь рассказать мне что-нибудь об обороне здесь? Было ли это что-то, что вы сделали, чтобы заблокировать доступ к размеру, или это был Распутин? Вы знаете, был ли пароль, и если да, то каким был пароль?"

Russian:

The intricate and beautifully tiled mosaic floor of this chamber is a weathered with weblike cracks. Numerous alcoves holding statues of saints and martyrs, each with fresh blood dripping from its eyes, run up the walls to the ceiling overhead. The air smells of decay, and the whole place is lit by eerie purple lights. The rest of the area is covered with purple mist.

Dim lighting, ceiling is 15 ft high at this point. Mist can't be seen through. It's put in place so that you don't urm, forgive me,

An aged crone is perched in one dark corner of the room, sweat dripping form her lank hair and down her bony frame, as she struggles to rise, gasping for breath. She gnashes her iron teeth and feebly attempts to stand, crashing against a nearby baptismal font. " You have heard my call, and you have come," she coraks, barely above a whisper. Dozens of thick wooden pews are piled to the apex of the chamber’s partially collapsed vaulted ceiling and across the width of the nave, totally obstructing the view to the transept beyond.

Mr Whiskers knowledge engineering: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19
Greta knowledge engineering: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

Greta informs the party according to her engineering knowledge those pews look mighty unstable. A little force in either direction would probably cause them to give way, resulting in a small cave in

Einar nods his head in agreement with Crummock and moves along with him. Listening carefully to Greta's explanation he asks, "Should we just knock it down and be done with it?"

Crummock shakes his head.

"Before we do that, let's check what's up in the small towers..."

He then nods to the eastern one.

"Shall we try that one first...?"

Retired to Triaxius

Nodding and heading toward the eastern tower, einar smiling toothy smile turns and tells Victor. "Приходите на Виктора, не нужно отставать, нам может понадобиться, чтобы вы что-то отключили."

Russian:
"come on Victor, no need to lag behind, we may need you to disable something."

As the party heads towards the stairs, suddenly the pews collapse in a dangerous rain of splintered wood and sharp nails. Einar and Crummock are buried in the collapsing pews.
Einar reflex: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29
Crummock reflex: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (14) + 20 = 34
dmg: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 6) = 17

Crummock and Einar take 8pts damage as they manage not to get too heavy wooden planks crush them. They are still buried though.

A buried creature can free itself with a DC 20 str check.

Geist reflex: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19

Geist manages to avoid being buried.

The rest of the party sees three creatures with razor sharp incisors protruding from their black beards, with wide bulging eyes, wielding longswords and dressed in the severely cut cassock of Orthodox priests, with all 3 mimicking each other’s movements and mannerisms, as if unsure of how to act without the guidance of others.

Greta knowledge religion: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (14) + 17 = 31
Mr Whiskers knowledge religion: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27

Both Greta and Mr Whiskers recognize them as nosferatu - a type of primitive vampire. They have DR 5 wood/piercing, fast healing 5, can dominate humanoids as a standard action and they look like they have antipaladin levels.

Mr Whiskers init: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Crummock init: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4

Einar and Mr Whiskers, then the Nosferatu, Crummock

From wooden barricade to red line is all DT

'stupid pile, I knew we should have thrown a grenade on it.' Seeing the pile begin to fall, Einar tries to dodge, to no avail "Blast" Moving around a little, 'At least not very injured, still need to get out.' Einar begins to rage, enlarging as his cambion ancestry becomes prominent and attempts to force his way out of the pile.

two question, can he enlarge? If so, add another point for strength, second, Does 'Heroism' count? If so, add two more points.
str: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
guess it really doesn't matter this round, out of curiosity is a strength check a standard action or a move action? I'm assuming it's a standard, but can't hurt to ask.

edit: not that it matters but weren't we headed up the east tower?

Earlier, with Baba Yaga

Was she injured? You didn't describe any injuries, just made it sound as if she was tired and out of breath.

Mr. Whiskers hesitates, then seeing the others move on apologizes "We will be back, but something must remain or the abominations outside wouldn't still be here."

I hope I'm right about this. Baba Yaga doesn't suffer fools well.

He then follows the others.

Now

Mr. Whiskers casts Ectoplasmic Black Tentacles on the area behind the pews so as to catch the two creatures to the south in it.

"Будем надеяться, что эти два человека будут заняты, пока мы сосредоточимся на одном на севере."

Russian:
Hopefully that will keep those two busy while we focus on the one to the north.

Black Tentacle Grapple: 1d20 + 14 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 14 + 4 + 1 = 35

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

She is just out of breath. East tower is as per map. East is down. Heroism doesn't add to ability checks, you want good hope. Full round action to unsure yourself.

Mr Whiskers knowledge planes: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (3) + 26 = 29

As the black tentacles grapple the nosferatu - Baba Yaga's suddenly changes into a bluish-purple-skinned daemon with a snake-headed tail, goat horns, and an unblinking red eye in the middle of her forehead.

A wave of crushing despair engulfs the party as the creature moves forward to bite Dimitri.

Dimitri will: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19
MR WHISKERS WILL: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20
Greta will: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26
Geist will: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
Viktor will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Everyone except Greta and Mr Whiskers takes - 2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, ability checks, skill checks, and weapon damage rolls.

bite: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (16) + 21 = 37
dmg: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
cha drain: 1d4 ⇒ 2

The nosferatu that is not grappled tries to telekinetically hold Dimitri in place.

telekinesis grapple: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (12) + 19 = 31.

Fustrated, it snarls as it pakours up the ceiling.

The other two trapped in the black tentacles discoporate into swarms of bats and swoop forward to engulf the party.

black tentacle damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
black tentacle damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Greta fort: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (2) + 19 = 21
MR WHISKERS FORT: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
Dimitri fort: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32
Geist fort: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13
Viktor fort: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Everyone except Dimitri is nauseated by the swarms as they are bitten by multiple bats.

swarm dmg: 1d6 ⇒ 2

The wounds bleed - so everyone bitten by the swarm takes 1 point of bleed on their next turn.

Party up

Viktor looks injured now.

Retired to Triaxius

since you didn't roll 'crushing despair' saves for Crummock and Einar I assume they are not affected yet.

'Blast need to get loose!' Einar throws his shoulders against the collapsed wood.

With the swarm on top of Mr. Whiskers, I can't move my figure. Does the demon have reach and does Mr, Whiskers have cover or concealment that would block an AoO from it?

Mr. Whiskers' AoO on the swarm as the first of them move through his space.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Lift the swarm, move your figure then replace the swarm.

Mr Whiskers strikes at the swarm ineffectually.

Bat swarms are diminutive so I'd say don't bother.

Being buried gives total cover. So they can't hurt you, you can't hurt them.

17 would not hit AC of the purple demon

Earlier Retcon

"I am Serafina and I will not let you hurt my beloved!" She declares as she transforms.

Now

Greta moves away from the bat swarms.

I'm away from the computer. I can't move my figure on iPad in the google app.

To my knowledge, Mr. Whiskers is not buried. Swarms don't get AoO because they don't threaten, so I just need to know if the demon would get an AoO if Mr. Whiskers casts without doing it defensively from where he is.

Edit after reminder of being nauseated.

Mr. Whiskers scurries as fast as he can back towards the door he came in.

Please move me 40', taking one diagonal south.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Mr Whiskers I said everyone except Dimitri is nauseated and you can't cast while nauseated.

Also, on the 3 Nosferatus there are 2 weak transmutation and 2 weak abjuration auras.
