Crummock-i-Phail |

@GM Mort: I thought there were 30 people in the shed that were drained/insane, and 6 people that had been 'modified'?
Crummock is momentarily overwhelmed by confusion, and a hint of panic when an otherwordly entity takes an interest in him, but he quickly calms down, when he realises its benign nature, and accepts its presence in his soul.
He then smiles at the men that he has just restored.
"Я рад, что я смог исправить больше вас. Я знаю, что вы прошли через многое, и я благодарю вас за ваше благополучие. Пожалуйста, помогите ухаживать за другими, пока у меня не будет возможности добраться до них, когда мне удастся восстановить силы."
When Dimitri returns to life, Crummock spends some time channeling life back into the man, lessening the sting of death, but not removing it completely.
Since you have to wait a week between fixing permanent negative levels...
He then clasps the man's hand warmly.
"Я рад, что я смог исправить больше вас. Я знаю, что вы прошли через многое, и я благодарю вас за ваше благополучие. Пожалуйста, помогите ухаживать за другими, пока у меня не будет возможности добраться до них, когда мне удастся восстановить силы."

GM Mort |

"Blagodaryu."Dimitri returns the handshake.
Thanks
"YA byl ochen' udivlen, chto ya vse yeshche znal, chto vy tam ... gde-to yeshche, podumav o tom, chto proizoshlo,Prevratilsya v kentavr i vse takoye. Eto oznachayet, chto Bog ne khmuritsya v ispol'zovanii magii, nezavisimo ot togo, chto govoryat tserkovnyye ucheniya."
"Da, ya by khotel poyekhat' v Osi, no ty uveren, chto my ne narushayem nikakikh zakonov o tom, chto u menya net proyezdnogo bileta?" He asks Crummock
I was quite surprised that I still had you know..somewhere to go to, considering after all the things that happened, like being turned into a centaur and all that. That means that God doesn't frown on the use of magic, no matter what Church teachings say.
Yes, I'd like to go to Axis - but you sure we arent' violating any laws for not having a travel ticket?

Mr. Whiskers |

Anastasia's lessons
"Dazhe yesli by vy videli, kak oni brosali - chto vy mozhete s etim podelat'? Eto bylo by, prezhde chem vy mogli by otreagirovat', ne tak li?"Anastasia asks Mr Whiskers.
Surprised, Mr. Whiskers looks at her for a moment. She doesn't know about countering a spell!
"Нет, не обязательно. Можно противостоять заклинанию, когда его бросают. Также возможно прервать литье."
"YA znayu, chto smogu obidet' lyudey svoyey magiyey, yesli zakhochu. No iz-za togo, chto u menya yest' chto-to, ot chego oni ne mogut zashchitit' sebya - eto delayet menya ne luchshe, chem shkol'nyy khuligan, kotoryy vybirayet tol'ko slabykh detey." Anastasia comments.
Hurt, Mr. Whiskers asks "Хулиган? Это то, о чем вы думаете обо мне?"
Shaking his head, he says "Магия может быть не распространена здесь, но это довольно часто, когда я родом."
He decides to walk away, allow her some time to think and read. I will probably have to demonstrate some of this to her. She seems like the type that needs to see something before she believes it."
A bully? Is that what you think of me?
Magic may not be common here, but it is quite common where I come from.

Crummock-i-Phail |

Crummock smiles, and shakes his head.
"Изменение внешней формы не изменяет природу души. Вы все тот же человек, которого вы всегда были."
When Dimitri tells him about meeting a 'travel agent', Crummock looks thoughtful for a moment.
I wonder whether that was Pharasma?
"Учитывая объем торговли, который имеет место там, посторонние люди, безусловно, могут посетить, но чтобы быть в безопасности, нужно иметь возможность организовать временную туристическую визу ..."
I am thinking of Planar Allying for an Axiomite or Inevitable, to help us understand the local laws / arrange a visitor's visa.

GM Mort |

Anastasia + Mr Whiskers
Anastasia cocks her head curious at Mr Whiskers.” Vstretit' zaklinaniye? Chto eto? I preryvaniye - chto vy podrazumevayete pod etim?”
Counter a Spell? What is that? And interrupt – what do you mean by that?
Seeing that she has made Mr Whiskers upset, she tries to apologize, ” Net, net, ya ne dumayu, chto ty khuligan. YA prosto privodil primer o tom, kak mozhno zloupotreblyat' siloy. Skol'ko lyudey v vashem mire mozhet ispol'zovat' magiyu?”
No, no, I don’t think you’re a bully. I was just giving an example on how power can be misused. How many people in your world can use magic?

GM Mort |

"Da, teper' ya eto ponimayu. No togda ya etogo ne ponimal - ya dumal, chto yesli by vy prevratilis' v zverya, vasha dusha priblizilas' by k odnomu. YA obyazan misteru Uksersu izvinyat'sya za moi zhaloby na yego magiyu."Dimitri looks rather apologetic.
Yes, now I understand that. But I did not understand it back then – I thought if you were turned into a beast – your soul would become closer to one. I owe Mr Whiskers an apology for my complains on his magic.
He agrees to Crummock's plan. "Pokhozhe na plan - ya by ne khotel narushat' kakiye-libo mestnyye zakony ili prichinyat' neudobstva mestnym zhitelyam pri rabote s neozhidannymi pribylyami."
Sounds like a plan – I wouldn’t want to flout any local laws or cause inconvenience to the locals in dealing with unexpected arrivals.

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
not sure of the timing between Mister Whiskers conversation with Anastasia and Einars conversation with Anastasia. I'm assuming they happened at different times. As well as the Crummocks conversation with Dimitri, so I'm not sure how and where Einar should jump in, but this is too good to ignore :-)
'Out of the mouths of babes. She understands that magic is power, therefor a weapon.' Hearing Anastasia describe using magic as a bully, Einar gives a small smile, nudging Mister Whiskers on the shoulder with his hand, nodding toward the princess. He raises an eyebrow but doesn't say anything, letting Mister Whiskers continue with his lesson.

BretI |

Anastasia's lesson
Counter a spell
"Я могу научить вас этому завтра. Легкий способ прервать заклинание - это нанести вред человеку, пытающемуся наложить заклинание, но есть другие способы."
Bully!
Mr. Whiskers stops, but doesn't turn back around to face Anastasia "Я не знаю."
He pauses to consider the question. When Einar nudges him, he looks up at his friend hopefully. Seeing the nod, he quickly looks back at the floor again.
"Мое сообщество было маленьким, так что только немногие из сотен могли это сделать. Есть университеты, которые учат магию и имеют сотни учеников или учителей.
Может быть, один из тридцати сорока человек?"
Then he walks off. Best to stop now, before I say something stupid. It doesn't help having Einar remind me that he sees magic only as a weapon.
I don't know.
My community was small, so only a few out of hundreds could do it. There are universities that teach magic and have hundreds attending as teachers or students.
Maybe one in thirty to forty people?

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
'One in thirty or forty is right, but rulers and Generals surround themselves with them. It can lift a thrall to an earl. Or a slave girl to a duchess... but I will not undermine what Mister Whiskers is trying to do, he knows much more about magic than I do, and she needs a good teacher.'
As Mister Whiskers stands to leave, Einar winks at Anastasia and follows his friend. Speaking quietly so only his sword brother can hear. "I realize you see your gifting as a tool first, one that can be used as a weapon when necessary. Having spent time with you, I believe my view points about magic are as much about who raised me and why, as they are about magic itself, it will always be a weapon for me.'
Einar looks back at the girl, "But it doesn't have to be that way for her. Unfortunately I believe her parents and community are more like mine than yours. But you will be able to help her be the person she wants to be more than any other here, so do not give up."

Mr. Whiskers |

Struggling with his feelings, Mr. Whiskers says "Thank you, Einar. I think she just took me by surprise, the accusation of being a bully."
"I will continue to help her, but right now I need to settle my own mind. If I had tried to continue, I fear that I would have said something that I would later regret."

GM Mort |

The party sets up its protections, and Anastasia adds a couple to them, then flies as puffy white clouds towards the now deserted prison camp. Rasputin's otherworldly sanctum is no where to be seen, having returned to its original plane.
The front purple lightning towers are deserted and the party finds a Maxim of suppressive fire in each of them.
With Viktor gone, Einar has to recalibrate the world anchors...and finds himself hard pressed to do so, but he vaguely rememmbers the order Viktor did things.
First he preses the red button, then the orange button, then the yellow button, then he turns the green dial 90 degrees right, then he turns the blue dial
counter clockwise twice, then he presses the indigo button, then he turns the violet dial three times clockwise.
The DD check is actually 50, Einar gets +5 from the blueprints, technically total of only 35, with greater heroism, 39. You guys REALLY should have asked Viktor how he recalibrated
the World Anchors in case he gibbbed...rather then just leaving him to do the job. But I'll give a +5 for being there to have watched him do it (for DD only).
He barely manages to get the order right and recalibrates the World Anchors successfully.
Einar, Crummock and Dimitri see Baykoks in the other purple lightning towers and they don their suits before going in, passing as maintenance workers.
Einar recalibrates the other two World Anchors, calling down Rasputin's sanctum. Colonel Lavrenti still patrols around the sanctum but lets the party pass without incident.
As they walk into the sanctum, they see a golden light coming from the windows of the bell tower where they left the prisoners. Moving closer, they realize that the top level of the bell tower is enclosed in a golden sphere and the windows are unboarded.
Since you do not have time...
Dimitri downs the elixir of spirit sight, commenting it tastes like drinking a thunderstorm.
Mr Whiskers creates a hole in the wall for the party to pass, to find a purple coloured shadow of a Rasputin bouyed in the air and his gang of shadow demons. All of them have a surprised expression on their shadowy faces, but the party can make out the shadowy outline of Maggie and Crummock's starknife being carried by the shadowy form of Rasputin.
Aura list as before

GM Mort |

Mr Whiskers Init: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (12) + 18 = 30
Einar Init: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Crummock Init: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Shadow demons(advanced): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Rasputin: 1d20 ⇒ 7
Party gets a surprise round, then it is Mr Whiskers, shadow demons, Einar, Rasputin, and Crummock
Einar realizes that the machinery is pretty complicated.
The world enghine has 150 hp, hardness 10
Mr Whiskers and Crummock notice there are lots of wires which are linked to the World Engine, going up the stairs, all cackling with purple energy.
Party's surprise round

Mr. Whiskers |

Mr. Whiskers casts Wall of Force, cutting off the room they are in from the Shadow Demons and Rasputin.
The yellow line. The actual wall is invisible.
He then calls out "Первый шаг завершен!"

GM Mort |

spellcraft: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (16) + 15 = 31
"No! I will not let Baba Yaga's interfering pawns stop my plans!" He curses as he raises his shadowy arms at the party.
The world engine can be destroyed by attacks, but hardness and half energy damage/range damage to object rules apply.

Mr. Whiskers |

Heroes Feast temp hit points: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 Is there any reason these wouldn't stack?
Mirror Images: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
I believe that I have the saving throws and Armor Class correct in my header now.

GM Mort |

For some reason, Rasputin's form seems to be rather hard to look upon. Ranged attacks + rays suffer from 20% miss chance

Mr. Whiskers |

Kn: Arcana, Greater Heroism: 1d20 + 24 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 24 + 4 = 36 Heightened Awareness not active

GM Mort |

You know the location and power of all magical auras within your sight. An aura’s power depends on a spell’s functioning level or an item’s caster level, as noted in the description of the detect magic spell (see tables above.) If the items or creatures bearing the auras are in line of sight, you can make Spellcraft skill checks to determine the school of magic involved in each. (Make one check per aura; DC 15 + spell level, or 15 + half caster level for a nonspell effect.)
You already know the schools involved and their relative strengths.
Arcane sight does not give you the spell list - you want Greater arcane sight for that - which cannot be made permanent.
"This spell functions like arcane sight, except that you automatically know which spells or magical effects are active upon any individual or object you see."
1 Strong divination
2 Strong abjurations
1 Strong transmutation
1 moderate divination
2 moderate abjurations
1 moderate transmutation
6 weak abjurations
1 weak transmutation

Mr. Whiskers |

For some reason, Rasputin's form seems to be rather hard to look upon. Ranged attacks + rays suffer from 20% miss chance
I did a Knowledge Arcana roll to recognize a spell that is already in place -- whatever was causing the bright glare.
Identify a spell effect that is in place 20 + spell level
Since my minimum roll right now is enough to recognize 9th level spells, might as well just tell us when Mr. Whiskers sees something that can be recognized as a spell currently in effect. It doesn't require detect magic to do this.

GM Mort |

Okie, Fair enough
(Visible) Spell effects in place
Entropic shield, Airwalk, Levitate, shadow body, unholy aura

Mr. Whiskers |

How does he have 1 round per level buffs up already? I would think even the minute per level are iffy.
Oracles don't normally get shadow body. I assume this is something special.
Should have taken Mad Monkeys -- it would have been amusing watching him deal with ectoplasmic mad monkeys.

GM Mort |

You pulled down his sanctum using the World Anchors didn't you? It created a nice unholy ruckus. Suffice to say he knew you were coming. Not exactly when...but...sufficient notice. Unholy aura is also something special. One of the gifts of the World Engine.
Shadow body - You'll see later probably, how.
Or I can tell you in Discussion once the fight is done

GM Mort |

Oh ya. Forgot to roll the forbiddance damage on everyone who steps in. Pop in the damage when you choose to get into the building.
Mr Whiskers will: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (16) + 17 = 33
Dimitri will: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (16) + 15 = 31
Einar will: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21
Crummock will: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31
Greta will: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27
Geist will: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Forbidance damage: 6d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 4, 3, 2) = 20
Einar and Geist will take 20 points of damage, Mr Whiskers, Crummock Dimitri and Greta only 10 - when they are in the building. Take it off your temp hps from Heroes feast/false life if you have those on.

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
I am calculating Einars AC is 41, (+3 SoF, + 4 Shield, + 4 heroism, + 1 haste)
Einar casts: Shield, mirror image,
mirror image: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
hero’s feat temp HP: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
’So it begins.’ Einar moves through the ‘wall’ exhaling as the pain hits him, he moves, ghost touched sword in hand toward the odd machinery he was going to disable.

Crummock-i-Phail |

With a grin, Crummock directs Geist to defend Einar.
He then hustles up the stairs, as fast as his Hasted legs can carry him.
If he not be wantin' us up there, stands to reason we should see what's there!
Dimitri, with no viable targets, simply delays.

GM Mort |

The stairways are covered with wooden splinters(would have been DT usually), but the hasted Crummock gets up there without issue. Like the bell towers off the nave, the windows in the bell tower over the apse are boarded up. The floor of the tower is covered with dozens of wooden matryoshka dolls, and the matryoshkas are open and unested, revealing the tiny glowing figures of the trapped souls within, surrounded by hovering mystical and technological components(like wires leading down to the World Engine). Crummock finds the bodies of 5 dead soldiers on the ground, as well as the charred remains of Viktor’s prosthetic leg, and an alchemical silver Kunai(rather soot covered). Viktor’s body is nowhere to be seen. The dead soldiers look like they had their life sucked out of them.
Crummock notices one of the matryoshak dolls is different from all the others. This doll, bears the image of an old crone, and remains closed. Like all the rest it is also surrounded by hovering mystical and technological components(like wires leading down to the World Engine).

GM Mort |

Greta moves in, in front of Einar.
From some distance away the party hears the pained whinny of a horse, then Colonel Lavrenti yelling out, ” Ty ne dolzhen proyti!”
You shall not pass!
Then the sound of gunshots, and angry growls.
Mr Whiskers full round now. Einar you may take your turn as the shadow demons will delay due to the wall of force issue.

GM Mort |

I'll take the roll since its better.
Einar gets to work frantically, pressing switches and turning dials. Rasputin's unholy aura dissipates and he gives and angry cry, "Neeeeeeeet!"
Nooooooooooo!

Mr. Whiskers |

Can the shadow demons see the invisible wall of force? Rasputin has been wrapped up in his own concerns and hasn't given any orders. I would expect the demons to have attack on sight orders.
We did a lot of fumbling when the other side was invisible. I was hoping this time it would be the NPCs that were fumbling because of things they couldn't see.
Mr. Whiskers moves into the center of the room just behind Greta and stands ready to cast a spell when either the first shadow demon moves into the room or the wall of,force comes down.
Attack the first enemy into the room.
If somehow the wall of force comes down, the target would be the shadow demon with Mr. Whiskers' shadow.

GM Mort |

Rasputin gestures at the wall, utters a single word, "ubiraysya", as a green ray of light emits from his fingers, hits the wall, causing it to disintegrate.
Begone
Mr Whiskers recognizes it as a Miracle, duplicating disintegrate.
It strikes at Rasputin himself with full effect.
concealment, 1 misses: 1d5 ⇒ 4
Mage sword: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (17) + 23 = 40
dmg: 4d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 2) + 3 = 12
Then the shadow demons move up. One of them drops a fear onto the party, but the party is...well, Immune!
The next one rushes up the tower at top speed.
Einar AOO: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (16) + 23 = 39
dmg: 1d8 + 26 ⇒ (3) + 26 = 29
The longsword and the claws do not seem to be fully effective.
Geist AOO: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (11) + 21 = 32
dmg: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Then it flies past Crummock and the whole top level is filled with a noxious cloud.
Thanks to Shadow conjuration immunity - there is no fort save involved for Crummock - issues is does he see through the cloud?
Crummock will: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15
Crummock only sees green cloud around him.
The third shadow demon causes the stairway to be walled up in shadowy ice. Mr Whiskers recognizes it as Shadow evocation mimicking wall of ice.
Mr Whiskers will: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (13) + 21 = 34
Einar will: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (5) + 18 = 23
Greta will: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32
Geist will: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
Everyone recognizes that the ice is a sham. And there is no wall. Or well, the wall is 20% real
The last one tries to enclose Einar in a resilient sphere so that he cannot do any more tampering with the machines.
Einar will: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (3) + 18 = 21
Einar ref: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (9) + 16 = 25
Einar manages not to get caught in the sphere, not that he believed that it existed anyway...
Party up

GM Mort |

They were waiting for him to pull down the wall - if it helps explain things.
Forgot Greta's AOO
Greta wacks at the Shadow demon as it flies past.
SR check auto passes so we cool
whack, PA: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (17) + 18 = 35
dmg: 2d6 + 27 ⇒ (2, 2) + 27 = 31
She does quite a nice chunk out of it. Then she steps up to attack Rasputin.
We'll just say Greta is a half orc for the day due to the darkvision issues...
concealment, 1 misses: 1d5 ⇒ 1
whack, PA: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (4) + 18 = 22
concealment, 1 misses: 1d5 ⇒ 5
whack, PA: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30
concealment, 1 misses: 1d5 ⇒ 3
whack, PA: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Two of her swordstrikes clang off some kind of armor, and he ducks the third one.

Crummock-i-Phail |

I would argue that, since I am immune to Shadow Conjuration, I should be immune to the visual aspect of it... but in any case, the Habit of the Winter Explorer lets me see through magical fog just fine ;-)
Geist interposes himself between Einar and the shadow demons, snarling.
Dimitri steps forward, and attempts to blow up some demons, his weapon proving to be surprisingly effective.
+1 Rifle (Ghost-touch), Haste: 1d20 + 25 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 25 + 1 + 2 = 32, for 1d10 + 25 ⇒ (8) + 25 = 33 damage.
+1 Rifle (Ghost-touch), Haste: 1d20 + 25 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 25 + 1 + 2 = 33, for 1d10 + 25 ⇒ (7) + 25 = 32 damage.
+1 Rifle (Ghost-touch), Haste: 1d20 + 25 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 25 + 1 + 2 = 35, for 1d10 + 25 ⇒ (9) + 25 = 34 damage.
+1 Rifle (Ghost-touch), Haste: 1d20 + 20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 20 + 1 + 2 = 37, for 1d10 + 25 ⇒ (5) + 25 = 30 damage.
+1 Rifle (Ghost-touch), Haste: 1d20 + 15 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 15 + 1 + 2 = 23, for 1d10 + 25 ⇒ (8) + 25 = 33 damage.
As always, using Clustered Shots.
Meanwhile, Crummock grins wolfishly at the Shadow Demon up top with him, and simply pimp slaps it.
Harm. 140 damage. DC 26 Will save for half.

GM Mort |

SR: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
will: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
It really looks like a shadow of itself now! 1 hp
Enough damage done so that it only has 1 hp!
True on magical fog. I forgot...>.<
Dimitri kills one and damages the other.

Crummock-i-Phail |

Ah! In that case...
Crummock's grin widens.
"Amser i farw!"
He then quickly slaps the demon again, his hand crackling with black energy.
Quickened Inflict Moderate Wounds: 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (8, 8) + 10 = 26 damage. DC 22 Will for half, not that it should matter ;-)
SR: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32.

Mr. Whiskers |

The mage sword continues to attack Rasputin.
Attack, heroism: 1d20 + 14 + 7 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 14 + 7 + 3 + 4 = 46
Damage, heroism: 4d6 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 1) + 3 + 4 = 15
Mr. Whiskers moves to the other side of Greta and attempts to dispel some of the spells on Rasputin.
Greater Dispel Magic, 1 AR to increase Caster Level, SR = no
The dispel targets from highest level down
Dispel Check: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 14 + 2 = 27
Dispel Check: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 14 + 2 = 25
Dispel Check: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 14 + 2 = 19
Dispel Check: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 14 + 2 = 36

GM Mort |

I'm so sorry. You get only 1 dispel check. I'll take the first roll. I know when I first tried out greater dispel magic, I had the same expression as you probably have on your face now.
I do not know why you're adding the heroism to hit to mage sword? Nor where the bonus damage is coming from - mage sword does only 4d6+3 dmg as per the spell.
Not to mention heroism never added to damage. Not that it could since I'd say a mage sword functions like a spiritual weapon.
concealment,1 misses: 1d5 ⇒ 5
The mage sword does have full effect on Rasputin.

GM Mort |

His concentration checks autopass
Rasputin steps forward then gestures at Einar, as his doppelgangers disappear.
Dispel: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (8) + 18 = 26
Mr Whiskers recognizes that he just quickened dispelled Einar.
Then purple lightning spills forth from his body in all directions. Mr Whiskers recognizes it as a Stormbolts spell.
Einar fort: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (2) + 20 = 22
Greta Fort: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (18) + 19 = 37
Dimitri Fort: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32
Mr Whiskers Fort: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23
Geist Fort: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17
Stormbolts damage: 18d8 ⇒ (2, 6, 4, 7, 3, 2, 7, 3, 5, 5, 3, 8, 7, 1, 3, 6, 2, 1) = 75
Greta, Dimitri take 7 points of damage, Einar, Mr Whiskers and Geist take 45 points of electricity damage
Einar, Mr Whiskers and Geist are stunned and drop their weapons.
Then two battering blasts fly at Einar, as darkness from the cylinders enshrouds the area.
battering blast: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33
battering blast confirm: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
Einar will: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24
battering blast: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24
battering blast damage: 15d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 5, 2, 6, 3, 2, 4, 4, 2, 3, 2, 4, 6, 2) = 54
Einar takes 10 points of battering blast damage.
Everything in the area by the red box is considered as being in deeper darkness.Supernaturally dark

Crummock-i-Phail |

Hilariously, Shadow Demons don't have the 'See in Darkness' special quality, so they are just as blind as we are ;-) Heck, Rasputin may be just as blind :-)
Dimitri curses.
Geist growls in annoyance, with a tinge of fear.
Crummock, satisfied that his foe is dead, simply rips the 'Crone Doll' out of the machine.
I figure this ought to do something to mess with his plans...

GM Mort |

The party hears the death gurgle of something, and Colonel Lavrenti cursing, ” Prikhodite, davayte posmotrim, skol'ko yeshche vy gotovy proigrat'.”
Come at me, then – lets see how many more you’re willing to lose.
Nice one.
As Crummock pulls out the power source, there is one last flash of purple lightning down the wires, and the World Engine gives off one last energy pulse that blasts through the entire prison camp. The shadow demons shrivel and disappear, as the energy pulse hits them. The party suffers various effects as the energy pulse hits them, but manages to fight them off. The party hears the thump of a body in the distance.
The purple shield around the entire building also dissipates, letting daylight finally come in. The whole place is now normal light. Places in red become darkness, which is perfectly fine since everyone can see through them.
Forbiddance down
Crummock: 1d8 ⇒ 8
Einar: 1d8 ⇒ 8
Mr Whiskers: 1d8 ⇒ 2
Greta: 1d8 ⇒ 2
Geist: 1d8 ⇒ 8
Rasputin: 1d8 ⇒ 4

Basically Crummock failed his ref save for 20 points fire damage, which does jack, due to resist energy.
Einar passed both of his saves, which is good or he'd get planeshifted, or poisoned and instantly died.
Greta passed her reflex save, so the acid damage does nothing.
Mr Whiskers passed his reflex save, so acid did nothing too
Geist passed both saves, so evasion, and nothing happens
Rasputin passed his fort save or he'd die on the spot. Or maybe not. Since he's incorp so we'd get to roll the 50%
Rasputin is stunned for..rounds: 1d3 ⇒ 1 and staggered for rounds: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Party up - I don't think this should take very long.

She takes advantage of his stunned state to cut some holes into his spectral form.

Ooo! Primatic Spray? Nasty...
Dimitri's face hardens as he spots Rasputin again.
"Это для моих соотечественников!"

Dimitri blows huge holes through Rasputin and he finally collapses, a dead body on the ground.
Crummock manages to bash through the ice wall.
Anything you guys wanted to do..?

Crummock gets the feeling that the doll is trying to tell him - it isn't over yet...

Crummock-i-Phail |

Crummock, carefully cradling the Crone Doll, nods to the others.
"Я думаю, что у меня есть то, для чего мы пришли. Осторожно! Я не думаю, что все кончено, хотя ... Будьте настороже!"
Ever cautious, but unwilling to leave loot behind, he then directs Geist to grab the corpse, and starts stripping it of its equipment.
Since, frankly, that is what we would normally do ;-)
