The next day...

You venture forth once more. It's midday by the time you reach the site of the Sprite battle. (I need cold-weather Fort Saves DC 15 and 16 for everyone except Sigrun. Each failure deals 1d6 nonlethal cold damage and leaves you fatigued. If you fail both saves, you're exhausted instead. Feel free to stop and rest up as necessary before continuing to read.

You make your way along a narrow game trail winding its way through the woods. Hoofprints mark the snow, leading in both directions. As you pause to catch your breath (immediately after making your second Fort Save), a large white elk walks out from the treeline and approaches you. "Hail, friends! 'tis strange weather for traveling. How goes thee?"

Everyone except Eredhaias/Percy:
The stag's mouth isn't moving, and it's definitely an audible voice. Someone else is speaking.

Ered manages to somehow hold in his body heat, but during part of the travels, he stumbles into a snowbank and becomes quite chilled. His teeth chatter for a moment, before he composes himself, the cold beginning to get to him.

It is when they come up on a talking elk that he raises an eyebrow. "DOES EVERYTHING ANIMAL-LIKE IN THIS DAMN FOREST HAVE TO TALK?!" His hands raise in frustration, as though he is beset upon by the very forces of nature trying to vex him.

As Eredhaias draws his weapon, and Vashti begins to cast a magical spell, the Elk suddenly charges! It's antlers barely miss Eredhaias' chest. At the same time, Maldrek's earthbreaker shrinks to the size of a toothpick (it's now a Fine-sized weapon).

Round One begin

The elk continues to lash out at Eredhaias, this time adding its front hooves into the mix, but the Elf is able to dodge everything. Meanwhile, Sigrun feels herself begin to shrink! The Ulfen's made of stern stuff, however, and she's easily able to shrug off the strange eldritch power (passed Fort Save).

@Maldrek: I didn't see anything stating you'd drawn your weapon, so I ruled it as an 'unattended nonmagical item'. That way you won't annihilate my Elk with a single crit. :-) If you really want it, you'll need a Will DC 17.

It's a fey creature called an Atomie. Able to cast a few spells (most significantly invisibility), it's vulnerable to cold iron weapons. However, this one has the same wintry tint the Sprites from earlier had. If you roll a 21 or higher, you can check out the Bestiary entry.
