Day Job: Profession (Aviculture): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
XP: 1
PP: 0
Fame: 2
Starting Gold: 7g
At level one, I only have a couple oddities so far. My druid has the spell 'acid splash' due to samsaran alternate racial. Due to my animal companion going with the bodyguard archetype from Animal Archives, the druid and the pet gain alertness as a bonus feat when they are adjacent to each other.
Normal Progression and both the druid and pet have low-light vision.

Herra |

Herra here is my animal companion. I should probably mention she has Combat Reflexes Feat so she can take AoOs while flat-footed and up to 3 per round.

Player name: Steven
Character name: Yroh
Faction: Grand Lodge
PFS #, including char #: 3217-32
exp before game: 0
Prestige and fame before game: 0
slow track? No
day job: None
Vision: Darkvision
Yroh will introduce himself when the gameplay starts, but basics are divine caster, backup melee, and resistant to cold. A little unhinged, worships snow, and generally likes to defeat rather than kill. I may go Bludgeoner/Enforcer for fun Intimidate checks on every hit.

Heading to convention for weekend, will be slow to post during that time.

![]() |

Just a brief RL note, our household is being force-migrated to fiberoptic connectivity on Friday. Theoretically it will have minimal impact, but just wanted to make folks aware.

GM Redelia |

Hey, I'm going to be ready to start pushing forward on this later today. The homebrew I was running just finished, which means I have enough bandwidth to do justice to this game. I hope the slow roleplay while waiting has at least helped you get a sense for your party.

![]() |

I will do my best to contribute, but I will be headed to Disney this afternoon.

This looks like one of those things you need a secret decoder ring for...!
I take it I should be in front for the sake of scouting and trap-finding? I can do that - just be ready to reorganize and cover me in a hurry when monsters show up. I'm merely a competent fighter at best.

![]() |

GM: It's okay, I just wanted to make sure that my posts were visible... the site HAS been acting a bit odd the past couple of days and I have a new 'Net connection.
And completely sympathize with headaches and trying to keep things rolling.
When the party can get some rooms (and Modesta would insist on a private room for religious reasons) a well-armored kitsune warrior type will appear from her room and introduce themselves as 'Ragathiel's Hand', and there will be a slight hint of 'rabid do-gooder' about them. They would be the 'party of the nth part' that Modesta referred to earlier.
Will change back over to 'Rabid Fox' mode after dinner tonight for simplicity's sake. Trying to keep the shift from public persona to vigilante seamless and reasonably believable.
Unless there's a less disruptive point to do so, of course.

GM Redelia |

After your current conversation, unless you guys ask to do something else, you'll go rest for the night and set off for the dungeon first thing in the morning, so during the night's rest would probably be the best time for your switch over, if you want to keep the switching to a minimum.

![]() |

Understood, will hold off for now.

Works for me for the most part. Baku would certainly prefer to be in the middle of the pack, though if we didn't have a scout, would be willing to sub in there.
Only suggestion I have is lets make it a tad more difficult for them to get us in an AoE.

Or something along those lines. Still within fireball formation, but hopefully a group of level ones don't have to worry about such a spell yet. :-P
Edit: Incase GM would like it explicitly stated, my pet would be near me during 'marching order' situations. In front, behind, beside...doesn't make a difference. Above me is fine too. lol.

Truth be told, I initially got it from Google Translate ('Khāṇa' comes from the Hindi for something related to 'eat/eating/eater/to eat,' and 'Tsogtsos' is Mongolian for 'corpse'), and I've just been cutting and pasting it from post to post ever since.

![]() |

The fox figure will need to be adjusted, it was being very balky with me, but at least I got it down to close to size.

![]() |

Thank you.
EDIT: Not trying to slow things down, Raga's been involved in two scenarios where not scouting things out a bit first has caused some issues.

![]() |

Even without a 'scout' as it were, I've found it best to send a sparrow ahead. If they can see the trap early, great! If they set it off with their face....well good for the rest of us. :-P

![]() |

Heading to work, able to post in about nine hours or so...

![]() |

Khana posted they were doing a 'sniff check' of the passage ahead, but I don't know if any information was imparted from it?
I think that's part of the reason we're held up, waiting for some sort of 'all clear' or 'approach carefully'?

![]() |

I need to know which door you guys choose to investigate first. I'm not going to wait for everyone, but for some agreement.
My F2F group has adopted the "Always Left First" mentality, so I would vote for the south door.

![]() |

Does Lowlight vision help in any way with the lighting conditions?

![]() |

I had wondered about that. I've heard the horror stories of this level.

![]() |

And despite the horror stories I resisted the urge to mitigate it.
Sorry for going from 'rockstar' to 'nearly blind', folks.
Hopefully the rest of you can pull this off!

The adventure actually says nothing about low-light vision. A quick google search does not turn up any discussions on the topic. If no one has any definite information, I am going to use my best judgement to say that with low-light vision, you get 10 feet instead of five. The penalties to attacks and perception and things like that will apply to things outside that 10 foot radius. If anyone knows otherwise, I'd like to hear about it.
I also will describe the rooms as normal, assuming that those who can see describe everything to those who cannot.

![]() |

The rubble looks like it's to the 'left' and the passage to the 'up' looks open?

GM Redelia |

That is correct. There is a narrow way through the rubble which is to the left on the map, but most of you would have trouble getting through. The size small goblins have to squeeze through. Hera could fit.
Up is a passageway to the other part of the room.
You have evidence from sounds and smells of goblins both ways.

![]() |

Ah, thanks for the clarification.

![]() |

...and thus was invented the sport of 'Goblin Fishing'???

![]() |

Sorry for my delay - been a rough couple days - family issues.

![]() |

Just to grant you an update (in case it becomes a problem)...had a death in the family Saturday. My grandmother's health has taken a turn for the worse as well.
The only day I will for sure be unable to post is Thursday. I should be able to keep at least 1/day other than that. However, if need be, feel free to bot me this week to keep things moving.
Edit: Yes, Elado, picturing the fight in my head makes me giggle... :-P

GM Redelia |

Hey guys,
I just wanted to let you know that I'm removing my usual posting requirements for the next week and a half because I'm expecting many people to be busy with family activities. If you get a chance to check in, please do, and if everyone but you has posted and it's been several days, I'll bot you, but if you aren't able to check in, no problem. I expect posting to return to normal unless I have heard from you on January second.
Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate it.
