"He's.. cute! When did Ryo meet you? Ooh, here!"
She places her hand over a spot on her dress again, then pulls it away and gives Jiminy a flower to match his eyes. "It will last a few days. Just don't eat it, okay Jimmy? Hey Ryo, when is lunch? Are you staying for awhile?"

Ormarr
Ormarr glances at Ryo, smirking. "Uncle Ryo? Just what have you gotten yourself into? Especially with a child such as this one.."

"I like you. You're nice. Not all grumpy like the 'old people'. Why can't I eat the flower? Will it give me gas? It kind of tickles when you have gas, but not when your tummy hurts and it won't come out. Uncle Kannic farted once on the trip down here, and we all thought a volcano had erupted, I laughed but the other grown up just held their breath and took their hoverbikes to 'go scouting a bit', and Uncle Kannic just tried to pretend that he coughed real loud, which might have been what caused the fart in the first place. This flower does smell better than that fart did. Yep, it sure does. For a while there I thought we were going to have to stop to let him change his shorts. And this is coming from the voice of experience. I can sure stink up a diaper but I bow to Uncle K. Do you have toys in that there house?"

"If you eat the flower you won't be able to see it or smell it. And no, there are no toys in the house, we don't need any."

Ormarr, confused by the baby's barrage of befuddlement, shakes his head and walks back into the house.

Agarthian Storyteller wrote:

*sigh* "How 'bout candy? Does Uncle Ryo let you have candy in that house? Candy that you can share? I have a bit of a sweet tooth, that I do. But I'm OK with that. Candy keeps me calm, just like coffee, else I tend to get real excited and things get all wonky. Can we make our own toys then? I'm pretty good at that game. I bet we could make toy snakes with Cousin Ormarr's help, maybe even some toy dinosaurs. Or we could go out and shrink some real ones, then play with them. That'd be cool. Just have to watch out if the shrink spell ends. That can get real messy. Speaking of messy, helllooo, still needing a diaper change over here. What kind of things are we having for lunch? I like cake. And turtles. I like turtles."

Jiminy growing up

An Unseen Servant methodically changes Jiminy's diaper again, removing the blasphemous contents to be buried. Or disintegrated. :)

"Turtles are nice, James, but if you're going to have pets you have to take care of them," she said absently.

"Speaking of, ummmm....could someone please tell me where the restroom is?" she asked, sounding a bit embarrassed. "Sorry, but listening to James talk about it all the time..."

Be back later this afternoon. They're doing a showing of the house today, so I have to go.

"I'm sure we can find something sweet for you next time. And don't play with the snakes unless Ormarr says you can, cause the do bite people if Ormarr doesn't tell them you can hold them."

"Who would give a little boy like you coffee? Shouldn't you be drinking juice or milk?"

"Through the door, up the stairs to the left, and it's the first door on the right."

Jiminy address the Unseen Servant

"Man, Daddy sure bosses you around a lot, doesn't he? Giving you all the dirty jobs. Do you think you can tickle me a little, or nibble on my chubby little tootsies? And don't forget the powder. Daddy usually does. Hey! Your hands are cold! *sigh* What does a kid have to do to get decent parents these days? Do you think Ormarr's snakes will eat my pet mouse? That'd make me sad. You'd think with all the lecturing Mommy gives me about taking care of pets, she'd be a little more hands on with her own darling son. So, what do Unseen Servants eat? I like candy."

"Thanks," she said dashing into the house and therefore missing Jiminy's latest litany on how his parents should pay more attention to him.

LOL. You two are working SO hard on tuning Jiminy out.

But you didn't catch what Ormarr said, did you? How closely related would you say snakes are to dragons? ;)

I like Ormarr. He has the potential to be deadly, and can see the same way snakes do, though he prefers to let the serpents see for him.

The danger of Adsila may only be known to those who have read The Circle of Magic series, The Circle Opens series, and The Will of the Empress by Tamora Peirce...

I see a baby sized problem rearing it's draconic head if this keeps up...

I blame hearing problems caused by loud machines and kicks to the head.

Hmmmm...well, there are some similarities, but also some pretty major differences. Like the whole inherently magical (or in the case of Aananda's type of dragon, psionic)thing. For starters. :)

And yes, I have read those books, on your recommendation in fact. And yeah, respect the plant magic for it just might kill you. ;)

Cardcaster Ryo wrote:

I'd say that anyone trying to pitch that idea to a dragon had best have a living will in place, because they don't have long to live. :)

James, did you set the drapes on fire?"

James, did you eat the mailman?"
James, are you hoarding all the sweets?"
James, quick trying to use the plant mage as a wet nurse."
James, stop trying to create a serpent rebellion amongst Ormarr's friends. Mommy and Daddy are not Darth Vader and Princess Leia, even if you caught her wearing a slave girl outfit."
James, a mountain of dirty diapers is not your Fortress of Doom. Well, maybe it is."
Yes James, that was attached."
No James, we are not your minions."

Ooh, the possibilities... ;)

Aananda wrote:

It's deadly side is shown nicely in Street Magic, don't you think? ;) And Rosethorn is scary... Even in [i]Melting Stones.[/ooc]

Um, yeah...I can just imagine Tam trying to pitch that 'roleplaying session' to Aananda ;P

Spoiler:

Although, if I harped on the flexibility the outfit allowed, and made the chain more appropriate for martial arts usage.....hmmm.

And on these disturbing notes, I bid you all a fair weekend. I go now to prep for my players' assault on Hook Mountain. Much carnage to ensue tonight.... :)

Hillbilly ogres and you think Jiminy is disturbing? Have fun!

good morning

[Looks up]

There's still a little bit of it left, yes.... :)

A belated 'Good Morning' to all.

Morning! *mumble*I want to go back to sleep*mumble*

Anyway, I hope at least one monk tries to say something bad about Aananda, because I've got a youtube video showing just what will happen to said monk...

They better not go pickin' on Mommy. Jiminy will get VERY angry. Monk stew anyone?

Jiminy Sunwake wrote:

*pops knuckles at the thought of foolish monks* Let the adults handle it Jiminy, we don't want the monks to get too embarassed... note that I didn't say hurt.

Why does Aananda want to go back to the monastery she was just expelled from only a couple of weeks ago? Did I miss something upthread...?

She's going to see if they have taken care of her brother Chan yet.

Actually, she knows they haven't. Chan tried to intrude on her dreams. She may not know what that means, or why he can do it, but she does know that he's still alive to do it. So now she wants to know why they haven't done anything, and is more than a little worried. She's not really in a hurry though, cause they did just kick her out and all that.

Hmmm? They kicked my mommy out?! But that's how mommy and daddy met...hmmm, this daddy is grumpy, though. If she had stayed would there have been a better one? One that wouldn't make mommy so grumpy too? Hmmm...

Last time on: As The Innerworld Turns! Aananda was running away from Jiminy by saying she had to use the bathroom. Unfortunately, the directions she got actually leads to the snake pit...

If she had stayed she would have become a full-fledged monk and there would be no Jiminy. :)

Hey Jiminy, ever think of taking a level in barbarian?

Agarthian Storyteller wrote:

Don't all babies come with a level in that? I mean really, have you SEEN the rage ability of an infant or worse, a toddler? <shudder> The pic does not do it justice. ;)

Ugh....mornin'.

Agarthian Storyteller wrote:

Great pic, and caption. Yeah, but the problem is when you rage like that you really fill up the old diaper. Then when the grown ups take their sweet time to tend to it you just get more angry. It's a vicious upward spiral. Be afraid. Be very afraid. :P

Oh get some coffee and wake up already.

Aananda sure has been the restroom a long time. I wonder what could have happened...

Must have been all that bread and cheese she's been eating. She's probably giving birth again. I told her that sweets are gentler on the digestive system.
