"I am no man"
Tamora levels an intense gaze at the skeleton warrior as her elemental finishes him off. She moves to pick up her crossbow while her summons closes in to the last kobold.

Rannik |

Seeing that almost everyone was able to cross the room, the Kobold stop looking for the object he was looking for and instead cast a spell. This time, his focus is back and the spell creates a cloud of golden particles covering everyone and everything in the area. Sadly, the desire effect wasn't reached...
Aside from everyone looking like a vampire from Twilight.

Round 7
Tamora: Done
Kakrish: Done
Roaghaz: Done
Kyzen: Up
Nighttail:
Hoga:
Kyras:

Kyzen |

After Nighttail asks Kyzen so nicely to move aside...
IF Nighttail is able to charge without Kyzen moving, then Kyzen kindly let her pass by (will take his right after), ELSE Kyzen will move out of her way and lose is turn...
"By all means, after you Kobs! He's all yours..."
Rolling a 20 for Nighttail would be epic at the moment...

Tamora |

All we need now is the sun.

Rannik |

Nighttail urges Hak forward and together they charge at the caster. Nighttail's spear ripped through the robe of the caster, but draws no blood. Seeing an opening, the Raven attack from behind and bring the Kobold down. He tears into the Kobold with his tusk, blood pooling on the ground. When he lifts his head back up, he looks at Nighttail. "I'm sorry, were we suppose to leave him with you?" Nighttail just shake her head. She climbs down from Hak and walk toward the stone that Asar was sitting on. "It is done, my father and many of my clan members have been avenged." Looking at the group. "Thank you! Without you, this would have never been possible."
Spears: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 2 + 2 = 16
Gore: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 4 + 2 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Battle is over. Welcome to level 3!!

Kyzen |

Kyzen goes to Nighttail and put his hand on her shoulder... "I'm glade that we've helped bringing some peace to you and your clan. After a few seconds... "What's next for you?"
Unless I'm mistaking, It's not over yet, right? We still have to make sure he won't come back to bother anyone else?

Kyras Darksoul |

Kyras joins Kyzen in congratulating Nighttail. [/b] I was glad to be part of this. My hope is that your tribe can get back to peaceful coexistence with the nearby town.[/b]

Tamora |

"He's not lying. He certainly has gotten stronger. He almost split Hoga in half. We will need to get stronger and prepared when we face him in our future confrontations."
Tamora is breathing hard as she purifies the bones with positive energy then signal her elemental and badger to work together with her to destroy the remnants after she removes Asar's possessions to one side before their time in this realm is up. She then re-joins with her companions.
"Likewise. If we let Asar be, more lives will be at staked and added to his master's army. I am glad we are able to prevent that, save your brethren from corruption and help you deliver retribution. Hopefully without Asar's influence, your tribe can repair their relationship with the town. So what is next? Other than leading your tribe, are you going to prepare them against Asar's possible return? He will not rest until the source of his immortality is cut off which would be a hurdle to get to and complete if we take his words as fact."
So what do we get from our battle?

Rannik |

"I... I'm not sure. Staying here means that he can easily find us again. We lost our best fighters the first time he came. I don't think we can survive a second. Our best chance of survival is to relocate, but I no idea where to." Nighttail seems lost at the moment. The drive for vengeance gone, she isn't ready for the burden of command.
Loot from Asar:
Bastard Sword, magical, special material.
Breast Plate, magical.
Rest of the loot tomorrow, I need to sleep.

Kyras Darksoul |

Whatever you decide, I will try to help. Kyras says, trying add comfort. For now you need get your people together, make sure everyone left is well and accounted for, and celebrate what you have regained.

Kakrish Stonetoe |

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Kakrish gives a cursory glance at the magical weapon and armor. "Yep. These are magical. But I have no idea in what way. Probably not important."

Kyzen |

Kyzen takes sometime to speak to Nighttail to motivate and reassure her that everything will be fine... That she will be a great leader... That we will explain everything to the Baroness... He also tells her that if she ever needs his (our) help to not hesitate...
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
He gives her his cel phone number... ;-)
Kyzen goes back to Tamora...
"What exactly do we need to find and do to make sure that Asar won't rise again?"

Tamora |

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Knowledge - Planes: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Tamora studies the weapon and armor with detect magic and shrugs at Kakrish with flickers of amusement in her eyes.
"You should take these finely crafted panoply. It appears that whatever Asar dropped this time around is destined to be wielded by you."
Tamora turn as Kyzen comes to her.
"A pair of amulet tied to respective planes of contrasting nature; one to the positive and one to the negative. Asar's limited immortality comes from the amulet tied to the negative plane. As long as it's magic is not suppressed, Asar will keep troubling us, growing stronger with each iteration of his resurrection. We are witnesses to his claim."
She gestures to Hoga, Kakrish and herself.
"The amulet tied to the positive plane is the only artifact we currently know of that is capable of stopping the magic of its brother amulet and refrain Asar's from being active once we defeat him and have those amulets in our possession at the same time. Though, we have to bring them together for its magic to be fully functional. Once we did, it would not be wise to separate them at any time. It would undo our work and Asar will keep coming back. Still, it would only serve as a temporary solution. To permanently seal his fate, we must ensure those amulets returned to the crypt in our hometown, Kassen, where he was first raised."

Kyras Darksoul |

And where do we find that positive plane amulet Tamora? It seems that should be our priority, no?

Tamora |

"No. It could have been had it not fallen into our enemy's hand. Dealing with our enemy would have been a lot easier then. It is too late now. Our current objective is to stop them from finding a way to use them to grant their god entrance to this world and take those amulets back, Asar a close second. If we succeed, we denied them their god and Asar, killing two birds with one stone. It is a race against time but we still have time while our enemy is doing their trial and error. At least from what I heard. It will be difficult due what we faced today as we will have to traverse their territory and face potential powerful enemies similar to Asar. But even with the information at hand, we still do not know where their lair is. First, we would need some knowledge and ability to locate it before we can begin disrupting their plans. Perhaps we can do some information gathering after we report to the Baroness."

Tamora |

After giving her answer, Tamora nears Nighttail.
"I wholeheartedly agree with my companion. An announcement of this triumph and a celebration after your people are accounted for would might be just the event they need to help them regain their spirits and put the dark days behind them. If you are uncertain about accepting or rejecting the position of leadership, perhaps you should take your time to think this through and talk to your people, particularly the one who recommend you to lead them in the first place. Whatever your choice, you have my support."

Rannik |

"Leadership of my people isn't a choice, it is an obligation. I just never though that the day would come this soon. But I do appreciate your support." She readjusts her armor and gear, and climb back up on Hak. "Now if you can help me get Hak back to the main level, it would be most welcome. Climbing back up isn't her strong point. At the same time, I can provide you safe passage back out, and spread the word of that monster's defeat." She guides the young dinosaur toward the toward the pile of bone and stabs at the skull. Lifting it up her secure it the weapon and waits for the group.

Kyras Darksoul |

Collect any loot. Back to town and report in. The sell loot and maybe get better gear and get new assignment. Maybe go up to wizard's house? Hmm. Check on wolves/worgs on the way back?

Kyzen |

Agreed... Wizard's house or Wolves hunting to get Hoga is coat...

Rannik |

On the way back up to the surface feel different. As Nighttail leads the group and parades the skull of Asar, you can feel a change in the mood of the Kobolds. They seemed relieved and genuinely happy. You also notice a lot more Kobolds on the way out than on the way in. At the entrance, Nighttail looks at the group. "Thank you again for everything. In the next few days, we will move to a new lair. When it is done, we could go over that possibility of the coexistence that you talked about."
The travel back to town is rather uneventful and you arrive just before dinner. You have an hour or so before most of the town store close if you want to sell some of your loot. You could also head to the Baroness's house to report in.

Tamora |

Let's report to the Baroness after we sell the loot that we don't need. Tamora might buy some hedging weapon and magic stone scrolls.

Kyzen |

Agreed!

Kyzen |

Loot sounds good, Kyzen don't need anything from it except a potion of CLW. Lets sell what we don't need and split the profits

Rannik |

The group explores the street of the town, selling the items they got from their last mission. They hear some rumors. Most of them are still about the tower falling and Hunclay. Some of the rumors are saying that the tower collapse was the nearby tribe of Kobolds getting ready for war. Others say that the tower collapse after a failed experiment from the wizard, he was a devil worshiper or something like that. There are a few about some more wolf attacks north of the town.
With the shopping all done, you think that there is still some time to report in at the Baronness.

Kyras Darksoul |

While Shopping Kyras chooses to buy a cloak of resistance, which he can barely afford. He can think of nothing that will help him more.

Kyzen |

"Let's report to the Baroness and make sure to let her know that the Kobolds are no threat, that they have a new leader and are very sorry for what happened"

Kakrish Stonetoe |

Kakrish helps sell the rest of the unused gear. He spends some time looking around in various shops but doesn't find anything that he is ready to buy. "I'm really looking for some stuff that I don't have enough gold for. So I think I'm going to wait," he tells Kyras.
I agree with reporting to the baroness.

Tamora acquires a mithral chain shirt, a longbow, arrows, bedroll and some scrolls from the local shop. In turn, she sells her old leather armor and xbow.
"I have done my purchase. Let's visit the baroness before we have dinner and turn in for the night."
Will state which scroll in the discussion thread later.

Tamora |

*knocks on GM's door*

Rannik |

Get up and write a nice post. Then leave for the day, get back home to see if anyone posted, realise that I never pressed submit... D'oh!!!
@Kyras. You are able to purchase a cloak of resistance +1.
@Tamora. All good for your purchase.
Ok for the wand of cure light wounds.
The group walks toward the manor of the Baroness. At the door, they are greeted by the same butler as last time. He still looks down his nose at the group, but refrain from any comments. He guides the group to a waiting room and leave to get the Baroness. The room is nicely furnished and decorated. There is a tray of wine and glasses on a table to the side. After close to twenty minutes, the Baroness appears. "So you are back. Your timing couldn't have been better. first tell me what information you found and then I'll share what news I have."

Kyras Darksoul |

Kyras dutifully filles the Baroness in on the activities in the kobold din summing up with So be believe we have set the stage for a lasting peace with the kobolds while encouraging them to move a more comfortable distance from town. My hope is that someday they will even make valuable trading partners.

Kakrish Stonetoe |

Kakrish interrupts Kyras's report. "Hold up! Let's not be rude to the fine lady." He puts his hand up in Kyras's face and then walks towards the baroness. He takes her hand and tries to do a combination of kissing it and bowing and kneeling. He ends up falling over, almost pulling her to the ground. Then he stands. "Please excuse my rude companions. We are honored to be in your presence." After the little show Kakrish steps back to stand with the rest of the group and he turns to Kyras. "Ok. You can continue."
Remember, 7 Charisma because I really don't know how to act in social situations.

Kyzen |

Kyzen, seeing Kakrish's attempt to impress the Baronness, has no difficulties hiding is laugh and embarrassment...
