Honestly, I really enjoy the personality conflicts, since they're totally not following the typical Lawful/Chaotic split. It's a special sort of Planescape dilemma, where the characters may have very different beliefs than their players.

...also, if these things have some sort of Death Curse, maybe she'll learn restraint and we'll get to point and laugh.

I understand the concern, though I too am enjoying the tension between characters.

With that said, I'd also be concerned about *not* killing a prisoner because one or two characters (especially if it were my own, which I expect would object in many more cases than some of the other characters) decided not to.

But I understand it can lead to out-of-character conflicts and we don't want that. Perhaps you could explain how you'd like to proceed in these cases in the future? We can all talk it out to make sure we're all having a fun game.


I'll say that I do enjoy some amount of in character conflict but I don't want conflict to bleed over into the OOC side of things. With that said, I don't object to people taking initiative in situations in which there is clearly an in character disagreement - at least not when the party seems largely split on what to do. I will step in if the game turns into one character simply making decisions for the entire group, but I want to stress that I don't feel as though that is what is happening here (at least not so far).

I am, however, certainly open to having people discuss how to deal with similar issues moving forward. What I love about Planescape is that it is the DnD Campaign Setting (probably alongside Dark Sun) that stresses the moral gray areas the most. You guys will run into a lot of situations like this one and while I'm not at all designing them such that there is only one right answer, I do want choices to matter. There are consequences (good and bad) for every action (or inaction).

I just don't appreciate PCs taking actions that affect the whole party. That's why playing with a paladin that is all lawful stupid is tiresome. I have no problem with the party taking actions that my PC doesn't agree with, but can we at least get an ooc vote?

The whole, 'less chatter, more splatter, I'm bored with this conversation, so I'm just going to hit something' thing is just frustrating.

Look, I'm not flipping the board over and going home, but playing a flank dependant character in a mapless game already makes combat not super fun. Taking away the out of combat stuff makes it doubly so.

Anyways, maybe I'm being overly sensitive. Let's just move on.

Nipper only has 4hp, so if anyone can throw him a heal, it would be appreciated.

Oh, and I forgot to respond to this part - Fingernipper, switching to the Unchained Rogue is perfectly fine with me.


Since things have been flagging a bit lately, I'm going to suggest two things to try to breathe us some new life (assuming people are cool with it):

1 - I'm going to open recruitment to finally replace Nora. Let me know if you have any preferences so I can post them in the recruitment thread.

2 - In order to make integration (and XP tracking) easier as well as spice things up a bit, I'm going to grant everyone lvl 2. We'll try to get the new recruit in before any more XP is gained if possible.

I think part of the issue is that you've given us a lot of freedom. The sky is too big!! We're freaking out!!

Anywho, I still love the campaign concept. We just a very big goal to accomplish and ton of options.

Also, I away on vacation for the next week or so. I don't know what internet availability will be. Please bot as necessary.


Good to know. I will try to give you guys a bit more rails, but know that if you ever feel chafed you can pretty much do whatever you'd like to.

With that said, any thoughts on a replacement? Or would you all prefer I not search for one? New blood I think helps reinvigorate things, but I'd like you all to have a say in that.
