Please hold while the GM assembles the new map.

Dwarf Barbarian

Gilgar looks perplexedly around as terrible elevator music momentarily fills the halls

Haha! Nice!

*Ding*

The elevator doors open to a new map method. You should have an invitation in your mailbox.

Gilgar wrote:
Gilgar gives the ol' grunt'n'shrug, but steps aside for Graymoon to pass.

The elven ranger begins to move into the hall before a strong voice speaking in Draconic is heard. "Goazen, gizakiak, zure heriotza esku dago! Truescales tribuaren kondenatuta diozu zure meddling, baina ezin izango duzu bizi istorioa kontatzeko! Zure heriotzaren zain dago!"

Draconic:
"Come, humans, your death is at hand! You have doomed the tribe of the Truescales with your meddling, but you will not live to tell the tale! Your death awaits!"

Graymoon pauses. "It would appear that we are expected."

Dwarf Barbarian

Gilgar shrugs, then his face brightens a little "Fight or squawk?"

With a grin, "Sounds like fight to me."

Let's roll for initiatives. No surprise round but someone can potentially take action to catch the enemy flat-footed since no one has actually seen the foe yet.

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Initiative for Glenna: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 Woohoo!

Dwarf Barbarian

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Initiatives
24 Glenna
14 Graymoon
Nox & Perrin: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
06 Gilgar

Well met! I hope the trip was uneventful and safe!

I have uncovered what's next in the Roll20 map. At this point, all we know is that there is a voice in Draconic challenging us to come meet our ends...

Glenna conjures up a new set of dancing lights and jacks a bolt into the crossbow she liberated from the slurk wrangler.

"I kinda remember - I came through this room, but I wasn't taking time to look around with the boy. I think there was a big chair or something. There is a hallway to the shaman's altar to the ...," she pauses as she replays the memory in her mind, "right. It should be to the right when we enter. I will follow your lead."

EDIT: Lighting doesn't appear to be an issue. Glenna will cast mage armor instead.

DM Screen:
3d20 ⇒ (10, 8, 10) = 28

The voice comes again, this time in rasping Common, "Come, cowards! Face the might of the Truescales, the blood of dragons!"

Graymoon looks over his shoulder at the dwarf. "Coming?"

He heads down the tunnel, drawing his sword as he moves. You hear the voice again, this time casting a spell and a muffled curse from Graymoon.

Readied magic missile: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (1, 3, 3) + 3 = 10

Male Elf Druid 4

I can't find the map invite. Can you resend, or send a link?

Nox and Perrin will fall in behind the first line with his hands clear, ready to (quick)draw the appropriate weapon. Perrin's lips peal back in what looks, disturbingly, like a smile.

I've moved Nox the first 50'. He has another 10' of movement if you want it. Perrin has moved 50' and has another 50' of movement available. He won't be able to attack, unfortunately.

Male Wolf Wolf 3

for now, I will stay with my person

The guard to the king's left sets his spiked chain to swinging and steps forward to attack.

Select-a-target: 1d3 ⇒ 1

Attacking Graymoon: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 Uh-oh!
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

The ranger's dodge is just too slow and the chain catches him hard. He falls to the ground, unconscious.

The Gilgarian is up!

*bump*

Dwarf Barbarian

Gilgar, seeing the others take off after the verbal exchange, briefly pauses to uncork (and subsequently guzzle down) one of his healing potions. He then tears off down the tunnel as the sounds of battle ensue. Enraged that he's missing the fun thus far, he begins to growl and holler incoherently as he stomps forward.

Gilgar is able to reach the entrance to the room where the battle is taking place.

CLW for Gilgar: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Ouch.

Nox stands in the entry with Perrin at his right. The unconscious Graymoon is on his left. Gilgar is right behind him and the kobolds are arrayed ahead of Nox.

Glenna comes padding up the hallway behind the dwarf, slipping past him and standing over the fallen ranger protectively. "You wait until Merril gets here. He'll show you the blood of true dragons and he'll take your bloody crown and shove it where your mother wouldn't even want to look for it!"

Intimidate: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 Ouch again!

DM Screen:

Guard 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Guard 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Merlokrep: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17

All three kobolds just laugh at her feeble threat, unfortunately.

Check to stabilize, DC 10: 1d20 + 0 - 1 ⇒ (20) + 0 - 1 = 19

Graymoon's wounds don't look life-threatening, just that they have added up to drop him.

Initiatives
24 Glenna
14 Merlokrep, The Kobold King
14 Graymoon
11 Guard #1
11 Nox & Perrin
11 Guard #1
09 Guard #2
06 Gilgar

I just realized I overlooked Guard #2 because they weren't in the initiative chart yet. His attack will precede the arrivals of Gilgar and Glenna, so:

DM Screen:

Select-a-target: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Concerned about the wolf, the second guard sends his spiked chain at Perrin. In what might be the last mistake he will ever make, he strikes the wolf for 4 points of damage.
