The dwarf heads across the room, but a few steps in, the slippery floor gets the better of him and his feet shoot out from under him. He lands flat on his back with a shout.

The other kobold warrior lets fly with his sling, also.

Mechanics:

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1

New round

The kobold spellcaster growls in frustration and speaks again, raising his voice to reach the assailant.

Draconic:
"You are a fool! The end is here for the incompetent king! Join me and let the pink-skins clear the way for a better future for our tribe!"

The first kobold warrior reloads his sling as another crossbow bolt is loaded and fired, grazing his arm.

Mechanics:

Select-a-Target: 1d8 ⇒ 2
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Nox is up.

Male Elf Druid 4

When does Perrin get a go?
Nox will target the crossbow wielder with his bow
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 bow attack
1d6 ⇒ 4 bow damage

Perrin can take his turn with you, that's fine. Nobody rolled initiative for him, so he's just been growling menacingly until now.

Male Elf Druid 4

Assuming Perrin is beside Nox, what are the positions of the bad guys, relative to him

The room is roughly an isosceles triangle, 25' across the base, 25' high. You are located at the lower right vertex, the crossbowkobold is at the peak, and the slurk with the oddly floppy rider is in the lower left vertex. The floor and walls are covered with an apparently slick slime, based on Gilgar's current position flat on his back 10' in front of you.

I guess you asked relative to Perrin - he is next to you. He gets a bonus to falling in the slime as a result of his being a quadruped.

Male Elf Druid 4

Perrin will move to the crossbow wielding kobold.

If he can, he will attack.

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 attack
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 trip
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 damage

I realized I failed to give you distances, sorry. And Perrin needs a Reflex save, which I will roll to move forward.

Perrin's Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Perrin charges across the slimy floor, struggling for purchase and barely missing the prone dwarf. He tries to leap over the slurk to bite the crossbow-wielding rider, but fails to get sufficient purchase. Surprisingly, where his feet hit the creature's back, he doesn't slide off. His maw is now disturbingly close to the sniper's face.

Glenna peers around the druid, "This place needs some light."

She conjures up four balls of light and sends them across the room, illuminating both slurks and their riders. It's clear that the second slurk's rider is no threat - he looks like Gilgar hammered him six inches shorter already!

Graymoon draws and aims at the second slurk, two quick arrows, but both are high and hit the wall beyond the enormous toad.

Rapid shot 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Rapid shot 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Gilgar is up. You will need a DC 12 Reflex save to stand and move forward.

Dwarf Barbarian

Ref Save to stand: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Gilgar attempts to stand, fails miserably, curses loudly, then at tries to at least squirm closer to a foe.

If you don't want to crawl forward, you can attempt to stand as your second move action.

Dwarf Barbarian

Gilgar's okay with crawling forward. He's not proud.

You are able to crawl through the slime. It's nasty stuff.

One of your allied warriors reloads his sling while his compatriot lets fly with his.

Mechanics:

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2

The stone hits a glancing blow, but the crossbowkobold pays it no attention, bringing his crossbow to his shoulder and letting fly again. He speaks a sharp command and the second slurk, eying the crawling dwarf, leaps over Gilgar and adjacent to the shooter.

Mechanics:
Select-A-Target: 1d8 ⇒ 6
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Confirm: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

With a chortle, the kobold targets the crawling dwarf, hitting him squarely. Almost confirmed a critical; Gilgar takes 4 damage.

Nox is up.

Male Elf Druid 4

Nox will move to the crowbowman, flanking off of Perrin if possible, dropping his bow by the dwarf on the way.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

If he gets across the room, he will (quick)draw his rapier and take a hack

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 slashing attack w/flank
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17 fumble save

Nox proves to have as much with the footing in the slime as Gilgar, falling flat on his face. The crossbowkobold chortles.

Dwarf Barbarian

*Bump*

Thanks

Glenna delays, opting to save limited resources for a bigger fight than a single sniper.

Seeing the trouble the others are having with the footing, Graymoon opts to remain where he is and trades arrows with the sniper.

Attack 1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 Deadly Aim
Damage 1: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

A solid hit elicits a curse from the sniper.

Gilgar

Dwarf Barbarian

Gilgar keeps slogging towards his next victim(s). Once within melee range, he tries to stand and take a swing.

You are there, but out of actions, so next round. I will have to roll for the NPCs (unless one of you wants to look back at their earlier turns and go for it.

One of the kobold warriors reloads while the other lets fly again, hitting the sniper again.

Mechanics:
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2

The crossbowkobold reaches down to the other slurk and utters a phrase before touching the beast.

Draconic:
"Attack!"

The creature turns away from the sniper to bite the still-prone Gilgar with its oversized tusks, hitting him for 8 points of damage.

Mechanics:
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Nox is up.

Male Elf Druid 4

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 reflex to stand

If Nox stands successfully, he will then attempt to move across the room and provide a flank if possible to either Perrin or Gilgar.

Male Wolf Wolf 3

Perrin will attack with flank, off of whichever of his comrades provides the best opportunity after a 5 foot movement.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 bite w/flank
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 trip

damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 bite damage

Nox is able to stand. Another reflex save as you try to move, if you will. DC 15 or you're in the slime once more.

Perrin is actually on the slurk with the sniper, I failed to account for that earlier. He is able to attack (no flank) but fails to get through his armor.

Male Elf Druid 4

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 reflex to walk

Glenna, knowing she can't hit the sniper with her minor spell, targets Gilgar's attacker instead. With a word, she flings a tiny ball of sparks at the slurk, burning it and getting its attention.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Graymoon frowns at his friends' situation and decides he can't stand back and shoot like this. Handing his bow to the kobold adept, he moves into the slime as he draws his long blade.

Reflex to move: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

With a curse, he falls and tries to stand back up.

Reflex to stand: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

Stand attempt (Ref Save): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Gilgar, covered in way too much slime from his painstaking crawl across the floor, tries in vain to stand, flopping back to the floor with a splorp...

Indecipherable curses ensue at an ear-splitting decibel level.

That's one move action. Are you using the second to blow slime bubbles and curse. >:! You can attack from the floor if you wish, at a -4 to the attack (at least until I find a rule that convinces me otherwise.

Dwarf Barbarian

Hmmm... Oh, why not... I'm never going to be able to stand up in this crap anyway...

Gilgar attacks from the floor...

1-handed MW Adamantine Warhammer Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
MW Adamantine Warhammer 1-handed damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Unbelievably, as Gilgar falls back, the slurk that attacked him leaves itself open to a devastating shot from his hammer and he lands a blow that must have broken the thing's jaw.

Nice roll, Slimey!

The ally kobolds continue their attack and reload routine, but at a command from their leader, the target changes to Gilgar's adversary and a stone pings the toad between the eyes.

Mechanics:

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1

More to come - I need time to study what's happened so far.

The sniper, facing a snarling wolf sharing his mount, holds the crossbow in his off-hand while he draws a handaxe from his belt and takes a swing at the canine.

Mechanics:

Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

The axe connects solidly, eliciting a yelp and a growl from the animal and more laughter from the kobold.

The riderless slurk leaps over the prone dwarf, focused on the diminutive spellcaster that burned it. As it passes Graymoon, he will take a swing.

Mechanics:

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Reflex: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

The curved blade catches the toad in the side and disappears almost to the hilt as the creature's momentum carries it forward. It's all Graymoon can do to keep his footing as the animal's now-dead weight comes up against him.

Nox and Perrin are up!

Male Elf Druid 4

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 reflex to stand

Nox, after having fallen again upon trying to move forward, will return to his feet.

Having never passed the dwarf, where he intended to drop his bow, he should still have it in hand.

1d20 ⇒ 5 rise and fire at the sniper

Nox's rushed shot upon gaining his feet goes wide badly.

Male Wolf Wolf 3

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Perrin, angered by the bite from the wee lizard-man's fake claw, takes a vicious bite from the side of kobold which was exposed after the swing of the axe. The pain of the bite throws off the kobold's balance, allowing Perrin to rip him to the ground by the ribs.

Interesting predicament for the kobold. Give me a strength check for Perrin, please.

Male Elf Druid 4

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19 Strength Check

With a mighty pull, Perrin rips the kobold from his saddle, dropping him to the right scant feet from the barbarian.

Glenna flings another ball of electricity into the scrum, aiming for Perrin's pony-sized toad.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 8 - 4 = 15
Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

The sparking mote narrowly misses the wolf and shocks the toad, but only a little, for the first damage it has taken.

Graymoon tries to slog through the slime to get the toad into striking distance.

Reflex to move forward: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12

After falling again, he tries to get back to his feet, but it unsuccessful.

Dwarf Barbarian

Nah. Trying to stand up in this crap is pointless for the burly one. He'll just continue to try and make 'em shorter.

DM Screen:

Warrior 2 Reflex to move: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Kerrdremak Reflex to move: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Warrior 1 Reflex to move: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Warrior 2 Reflex to move: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Kerrdremak Reflex to move: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Warrior 1 Reflex to move: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

With a command from their leader, all three of the kobold allies start to move forward, but they all fall flat. One of them struggles back to his feet, but the others slip again as they attempt to rise.

DM Screen:

Reflex save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2

Handle Animal: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

The sniper stands, bleeding from several wounds, and chops down at Gilgar with his handaxe as he shouts what seems to be a command. The attack is turned aside by the dwarf's armor.

His former mount, missing his rider and carrying an unfamiliar creature (Perrin), looks uncertain, but at the rider's command, leaps straight up, trying to crush the wolf against the ceiling.

GM Screen:
Jump: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

Somehow, the creature's powerful legs are not up to the task and it fails to get high enough. When it lands, it crouches again and sprays slime from his back, trying to cover the wolf. This is more effective and the canine is covered in a quickly-hardening shell.

Perrin takes -2 to attack, Reflex saves, and skill checks and his speed is reduced by 10 feet. It will take a full-round action and a DC 15 Strength check to remove the penalty (and the hardened slime).
