"Mogmurch, why you on fire? Be on fire is stupid idea!"
Now that the effigy is so close, Reta can't charge at the thing efficiently, so she just leaps at it with an unintelligible scream.
Dogslicer: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13, Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Chuffy loads his crossbow with a flaming bolt and fires! He manages to hit the big stupid thing right in the middle of it's pumpkin but the effects are minimal..you can hardly even notice them.
Now that the effigy is so close, Reta can't charge at the thing efficiently, so she just leaps at it with an unintelligible scream...but her leap is ..."slightly" miscalculated and she just manages to land on her feet..but her attack goes wide (doesn't hit AC)
Poog continues to move to a more tactically sound position as he casts produce flame.
Mogmurch stops drops and roll, trying to get the fire to go out.
Reflex save: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 9 + 2 = 20
and rolling around in the mud he manages to put out the flames before they can sear his soft flesh into crispy bacon.
The randomly erupting fireworks keep setting stuff on fire in the immediate area
1 Reta, 2 Mogmurch: 1d2 ⇒ 2
and poor Mogmurch is hit by a piece of flaming debris once again
Fire damage: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5
Reflex save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
and as he get's hit in the head he goes even further down on the ground then he already was..his eyes glace over and he can't focus on anything as his eyes slowly close and his head hits the ground.
Reta suddenly is the only target near the lumbering fiery spewing giant killing machine
Slam 1 vs Reta AC: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
Slam 2 vs Reta AC: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
But Reta is faaaaaar too good at dodging to be hit by it's large - but luckily slow moving - flaming fists.

"Stupid Mogmurch not useful! Can't kill pumpkinshanks when lying on the ground!"
Reta uses the momentum from her dodges to try and attack.
Dogslicer: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23, Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Reta uses the momentum from her dodges to try and attack. Her attack hits but bounces harmlessly of the things though outer shell, not even scratching it's surface.
Chuffy is getting frustrated trying to damage the stupid effigy. He decides to try to get around into flanking position.
Poog throws a ball of fire at the giant pumpkin headed monstrosity.
It seems that Poog has no feats to ignore the penalty for firing into melee and even though he's large and you guys are small it's still a -2 to hit, which I don't think was included in the attack roll
but having to be careful to not hit Reta in the back as she's dodging around Poogs aim is a bit off and his ball of fiery doom sails past his intended target
Con save Mogmurch: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Mogmurch lies unmovingly on the the ground..but the flow of blood running out of his wounds is down to just a trickle.
The random fireworks exploding around the thing
1 Reta, 2 Mogmurch: 1d2 ⇒ 1
rain down all around Mogmurch, just barely missing his unconscious body as Reta takes a firecracker to the face
Fire damage Reta: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6 DC 15 reflex save for half
Two large fists try to pound Reta into pulp
Slam 1 vs Reta AC: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Slam 2 vs Reta AC: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
but dodging around seems to make Reta almost untouchable..at least by the slow moving lumbering monstrosity

With silly mogshanks down Poog fires another ball of fire at the pumpkin head, this time without any silly gobos in the way.

Chuffy takes a moment to quaff a potion and heal himself.
potion of cure moderate wounds: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (2, 2) + 2 = 6
I don't think I can deal damage to this thing that gets past its hardness unless I can figure out a way to sneak attack. If I move over into the green area (trees?) can I get cover to try to stealth?

The bolt of fire hits some fireworks arrow tied to the constructs back and it ignites and flies up through the things pumpkin head which explodes in a shower of pieces of food!
combat over
Eventually Mogmurch recovers from his wounds
With the goblin chief effigy destroyed, the goblins of the Birdcruncher tribe slowly slink from their hiding places, ready once again to cheer their beloved chieftains. They bowed and scraped at you ;their fearless leaders before, but now—after witnessing the destruction of the fireworks-laden monstrosity—the goblins of the Birdcruncher tribe would follow you into Hell. It takes a bit of time, but with a little cleaning up and additional cooking, the feast goes on!
With delicious truffles cakes!
This concludes the adventure. I hope you had fun. I liked your roleplaying, it spices up the combat and is more fun to watch then just I try to hit X.
If you haven't told me, please make sure to let me know which character you want to apply the credit on. I'll get chronicles out somewhere this weekend.

"Reta is greatest goblin chief! Reta demand truffles and fighting and boons!"
Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Thank you very much for running this game; it was delightful in the gobliniest of ways! I did forget to tell you which character to apply this to; Martha von Lucius, 221942-3, Grand Lodge.
Thank you once again, and have a fantastic game day!

Sorry for the delay..I forgot that you get an extra prestige point if you have the chronicle from we be goblins or we be goblins too on the character you apply this credit too.
So in order to fill in the chronicle correctly I need to know if you have done so
..I should have asked earlier but it escaped my train of thought until now
Revvy Bitterleaf |
Boon roll because I noticed I hadn't rolled for it myself yet: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Sorry for the delay. But if everything went correct this time and I made no (copy&paste) mistakes you should all have a link to your chronicle now.
If anyone spots a mistake let me know and I'll (try to) fix it.
I'll put the game to inactive somewhere this weekend.
