After he falls the illusions fade revealing that the throne room is actually a barren cavern similar to the previous chambers and the himself samurai as a towering, corpulent beast with the hideous head of a boar and arms ending in fatty, four-fingered hands.

Still bearing the gift of magical flight, the party returns to the main chamber and continues circling east. After searching another empty cavern the party descends a narrow passageway that's marred by a forest of stalactites and stalagmites that resemble nothing less than the narrow bars of a cage in the ebbing glow of the luminescent lichen growing upon them.
A feminine figure wearing a featureless porcelain mask stands guard here. Long, twisting horns grow from her head, and a hairless rat’s tail pokes out from beneath the skirts of her blood-spattered kimono. Her head moves very slightly in acknowledgement of the party's entrance.

Well, this isn't Shigure, Valrar thinks. So another demon? Possibly, given our track record. Better not to strike yet, though.
Aloud, he speaks calmly and slowly in his now-perfect Tien, "Hello. Worry not, we mean no harm. May I ask what you are doing down here? We come in search of a man."

You guys actually already met Shigure. He was the howling ghost you met shortly before you left to rearrange your prepared spells. Part of the confusion is that you never went back to talk to him before heading down into the well. We’ll assume the celestial explained why Shigure is wandering around as a ghost - he wants his remains recovered (they were thrown into the well) and properly interred in the tombs above.

Chun sees no signs of illusions of other trickery through her true sight on the guardian.
Lenny recognizes the creature as a fiendish outsider called shiko me seen occasionally in Tian Xia, known for their talent for murder.
Immune to ability damage, ability drain, cold, electricity, energy drain, and negative energy. They have limited access to illusion and necromancy spells. They can use special martial stances that give them fire and wind-based abilities.
Grota gets the distinct impression that the shiko me is guarding the cavern and the way beyond. She seems placated by Valrar's words but you don't think she'd hesitate to attack if you explored much further.
Valrar, did you want to ask something else? You know where Shigure is - his ghost at least. Everyone else is welcome to jump in.

From what he has heard about the creature, Valrar feels better keeping his weapons out and ready. He still follows, however.

The shiko me leads the party through a mammoth courtyard flanked by huge basalt columns. A balcony to the southwest and two elevated platforms to the east look down upon the room’s ivory-tiled floor. Imperial tapestries of green and gold hang from their edges. To the south, a decorative overlook provides a breathtaking view of a waterfall as it pours into the misty depths.
Six women with white feathered wings guard the area but a nod from the shiko me sets them at ease.
Finally, an ornate railing lines a stone balcony that opens into a small cavern. Delicate silk curtains hang from a forest of stalactites on the ceiling, and plush carpets cover the floor. A huge bed draped in satin sheets and a multitude of pillows occupies the rear of the chamber, behind a regal throne of carved jade. The stirring scent of jasmine and lotus blossoms fills the air.
The shiko me bows to the bourdoir's lone occupant - a beautiful, ageless Tian-Min woman dressed in Minkai imperial regalia. Instead of hair she has a bundle of fleshy tentacles growing from her scalp, bound up into a elaborate coiffure.
"What has my bodyguard brought me?" the woman asks aloud in a silken voice. "I didn't expect a visit from mortals."
