That save was mislabeled. It was a reflex save, that's it's immaterial in this case...
Despite being free from Lenny's confines, the thanadaemon fails to put up much of a fight as Chun obliterates yet another foe.
Kaz makes similarly short work of the piscodaemon and the remaining hydrodaemons fall moments later.
The piscodaemon actually still had a good chunk of HP but the thanadaemon was the only real threat so I'm calling the fight over.

"That's the both of them," Valrar says, kicking about the pieces. "What say we return to the other empress and get this over with?"

The party returns to the upper level to find Empress Amatatsu Maemi as you left her, dressed in her false Minkai imperial regalia. A smug smirk of satisfaction is on her face, as if she already knows that the party's bloody work is finished.
"How fares the hunt? Has our mutual foes' destruction been assured?"

"As long as they don't decide to spring back up," Valrar answers. "Now, about your end of the bargain. I trust we have your support?"

Grota bows. "With our tasks complete, do we have your blessing to move on?"

DM Feral |

"Oh, of course. My apologies."
The stately woman clears her throat and presses a delicate hand to her breast. "As the head of the Amatatsu family line, I give my blessing for you outsiders to enter the ruins of the imperial palace and seek the Jade Throne."
She clears her throat a second time and gestures dismissively. "You'll find the late emperor's remains in the next room. I assume you still wanted that? Now move along. I have so much work ahead of me."

Going to move things along a bit.
With many of the powerful malevolent heads of the imperial families destroyed the less evil spirits of the island return. The celestial empress, Amatatsu Onoko, is disappointed that the party spared her distant kin but voices no complaint in light of the success. It takes several hours of negotiation but the party is eventually able to get blessings from three other families leaving just the Shigure family.
With the late emperor's body in tow, the party returns to Shigure family shrine. The emperor's spirit is waiting for you, anxious but no longer howling in despair.

The Viscount, in a rare show of respect for other human beings, stands up on his carpet and presents the body to the Shigure emperor As you can see we have recovered you body and come now to seek your blessing to take the Jade Throne for ourselves and away from the monster who currently holds it.

Chun Hei bows deeply to the emperor and waits for the answer to the Vicount's request.

The ghostly emperor's rage is contained, if barely, and he regards the party with respect.
"You have my eternal gratitude outsiders. I feared my spirit would be doomed to wander this island for eternity, madness being my only reprieve. Please, inter my remains in an empty tomb so I can finally rest among my ancestors."
He gestures to one of the nearby stone drawers.

Chun Hei nods and peers into one of the nearby empty tombs glancing at it with detect magic before taking the emperor's remains and placing them gently and respectfully in place.

Valrar follows suit and bows, not sure what to say or do but hoping this ghost doesn't try to kill anyone. Maybe he'll tell us who the new emperor is....

Chun detects no magic in the indicated tomb. She easily slides the late emperor's decaying form inside where it settles with an air of finality.
"Yes, you have done it. I can feel the way to my honored ancestors has opened to me. Is there any boon I can grant you before I leave this troubled realm behind?"

"Of course. On behalf of the Shigure family honor, I Emperor Higashiyama Shigure give my blessing for you outsiders to enter the imperial ruins. I don't know what interest you have in the Jade Throne but I wish you luck."
The ghostly emperor gives the party a deep parting bow before fading from sight.

"He wasn't so bad when placated," Valrar grins. "Now, let's go kill some Aspis and Five Storms."
He is, as is becoming usual with his "parole officer" around, responded to with a mental image of him standing atop a mountain of corpses inside a circle-backslash, courtesy of the Ambassador. "I won't, I won't," he groans.

After some much needed rest the party teleports to the ancient Minkai forest where the abandoned imperial ruins are rumored to be hidden. The party's arrival is greeted by a wall of impossibly dense disorienting mist but, blessed by the five imperial families, the enchanted fog parts revealing the way forward. After a short hike, the woods thin to reveal an immense lake with a enormous island at its center. Dominating the island is a fortified palace, worn by generations of neglect and exposure to the elements.
A single bridge moss-covered bridge provides access to the ruins.
Alternatively you guys could just fly there.

Okay, we'll assume the whole party is flying across the lake to the keep.
Born on unseen wings, the party forgoes the lone moss-covered bridge and flies over the lake's waters.
Avoiding the bridge doesn't keep the party from being spotted and almost immediately rough-looking men in mail begin filing out in front of the palace's entrance. More shouting can be heard from inside as the guards quickly string bows and prepare to fire.

GMW was 30h so still up, refreshing the Magic Vestment for a new 14 hours. Using Air Walk 140m to be aloft. (Can provide Air Walks for anybody else who needs)
Seeing the guards beginning to pour out Chun Hei closes 20 feet (now 180 away) and casts weapon of Awe on her no-dachi.

OK, so buffs before starting our adventuring again include Lenny giving Grota Mage Armor again (if he agrees to) and Grota giving everyone Barkskin +5. Also don't know if Mass Fly is going?
