Valjoen, Mido and Rika watch Mariel and Manius ZOOM down the greased slide in Jillia’s wake.

Just before your journey comes to a sudden halt, a *FLASH* of light goes off in your face!

Before you can react, your feet strike the body, causing you to flip head first into the wall.

Before you get a chance to regain your feet, a pair of half-elven boots SLAM into your back, causing a blonde female to somersault over you head-first into the stone wall.
Shortly after, an armored knight flies over you colliding with the half-elf, before they both slide down the wall to the floor.

Sorry for my absence, life is sometimes a cruel mistress with deadlines and bone-deep weariness. Back in the saddle!
Rika looks at Pratts curiously. What is it the dumb lizard has figured out that the remaining Pathfinders haven't?
Is there any way to suss out such information about what's the deal with Pratts? If memory serves, Pratts might actually like Mariel. Would trying to use the Improved Empathetic Link ability Rika has provide a better understanding of what's happening in Pratts' eyes?

Jillia rubs her back where her two compatriots careened in, hops to her feet, and gets a look at what's nearby. Is the wall solid? Any way around?

Rika stares into Pratt's eyes and see nothing but what she already knows. Grunting with disgust, she joins her companions, stepping down the incline and letting the grease take her down, starmetal sword drawn so that she may slow herself down with the judicious application of her blade to the surrounding rock.
Pratts, not wanting to feel left out, plunges down as well with a squeal.

All of the Pathfinders except Rika, notice the rows of smooth granite pillars line the perimeter of a huge rotunda. Between the pillars, intricate patterns of inlaid stone form the cryptic arcane symbols. Toward the rear of the chamber rises a stepped dais, its broad base inlaid with similar fonts.
Atop the dais meditates a muscular man garbed in flowing white robes.
Barefooted, he sits with his legs folded as his calm, unblinking gaze stares serenely into space. Below him, surrounding the dais and filling the remainder of the room are gouts of fire, rolling boulders, howling blasts of wind, and rolling torrents of water that churn like a savage and chaotic elemental sea.

A lone Pathfinder suddenly breaks through the gaping wall of elementals and runs towards the Emissary’s platform, leading the charge. It is Jin-Goro of the Exchange faction!
Cheers erupt from fellow Pathfinders as they rally to keep the gap open whilst the brave and desperate lone figure races forward.
Jin-Goro reaches to touch the platform, but as he does, the Emissary bursts into a maddening laugh, and with a wave of his hand, the platform erupts into a shower of smoke, sparks, and cherry blossoms. Before your eyes, eight monks dressed in the robes of their sifu appear, standing in a circular formation atop the platform. With a calm grace, each one assumes a combat stance. Behind the wall of qinggong disciples, the Sifu again calmly seats himself. He closes his eyes, folds his legs, and sits in the lotus position, awaiting the victors.

Jillia’s short blade gets through Bruiser’s guard, gashing the man’s upper bicep. He fends off the cavalier’s follow up attack and grapple with well-timed wrist-to-wrist blocks.
“Whacks on! Whacks off!”
I assume the unsuccessful grapple attempt does not provoke, Jillia?
Mariel fulfils her promise by healing Rika.
Bruiser responds to Mido’s koan, as the gnome’s fist also strikes true. “I would concur that I am metaphysically far below Enlightenment’s Summit, brother.”
“Before you moved to engage me, I would have said it was easy to criticize another’s position on the snow-swept mountain from the comfort of a valley hearth. But you have backed up your words with deeds.” The monk bows.
“Let a swift, honorable death be your reward.”
