Jomal's dart takes the fleeing man in the back and he drops facefirst into the slush that makes up the sewerage. The body slowly drifts past all of you as the Almsman speaks a prayer for the dead .
Looking up after his prayer, he nods.
"The deal is done. That which you seek lies South Eastern. I will mark out the way for you and you all have my thanks for routing the steel wyverns." he withdraws a piece of parchment from within his robes and marks out a route.
The route indicates that the party ust travel east to the next branch south, then look for a mossy, overgrown door marked “Skytower” along the south wall.

The Almsman’s directions lead to a heavy wooden door. A sign on the door is partially obscured by grime and moss, and the word “Skytower” is still barely legible.

"That's an ironic name for a door hidden in the sewers!"
"Even so, better check it for any funny stuff."
Tsafento then casts a spell on the door:

Tsafento finds no magic on the door and while sturdy, it's unlocked.
Skerdo on the other hand with his keen hearing think he may have heard something but it's faint.
This room was once the basement of a building above, but the stairs in the far corner are now choked with charred rubble and seem to lead to a new stone foundation of the new building above. Odd furniture and knick-knacks of all description fill the remaining space, and strange winged effigies made of wood and broken pottery are arrayed in a bizarre diorama.
The focal point of this display is a pair of chairs standing on different-sized piles of old crates like thrones on a dais. A charred and shriveled corpse dressed in rotting and burnt finery and wearing a tin crown is propped up in one of the chairs while the other, lower chair, sits vacant.

In the far room, he finds himself face-to-face with a dretch, and moves to block the doorway through which he can hear others. "In here! Come on! I'll hold the door." He swings his battleaxe at the nearest demon, keeping his guard up, and lands a solid blow!

Knowledge Planes to identify creatures
Apparently the creatures appearance is more then enough to throw the party of as only Skerdo and Tsafento with Steel and Spell land blows. However the effects from both their attacks varies.
Skerdo's powerful blow seems to have being absorbed by their thick hides while Tsafento's magic washes over their skin having no visible effect at all!
One of the fiends moves forward, tempting a blow from Hervy in order to try and claw him with its companion's help!

"They've got thick hides!" Skerdo yells. "Gonna have to push through..." As he sees Hervey lunge past him and get surrounded by dretches, he lets out an oath. "That's why I said I'd hold the door!" With a snarl, he swings both blades as the demon in front of him.

Hervy lashes out with some anger only to see his blow bounce of the creature's flesh. With a start he recalls reading about these detizens of Hell.
These are Dretches, among the lowest ranked creatures if not the lowest. Their flesh resist most weapons except those of cold Iron or blessed by the forces of good. Immune to Poison and Electricity and resistant to Fire, Cold and Acid. They also have the power to cast spells that invoke great fear in their target as well as sumo forth more of its kind. Hervy also noticed that these examples seemed weaker then those he read about.
No Sooner then he thinks that then Skerdo Drops the one he's attacking. The wounds bleeds but sluggishly as if even its wounds take time to take effect.
Teloish tries to add his weight but realises that a wall is between him and his quarry.

Tsafento opts to wait for his opportunity in this close quarters fight.

Jomal's quick movements spares him the worse of the attacks but Hervy gets a painful bite once more along with getting mauled! Hervy feeling pain explode throughout his body suddenly feels cool as his whole body numbs the pain, slidng down towards the floor.

Jomal is hurt by the precision of the two claws, that fail to harm him deeper by his sheer luck. Yet, the Nagaji Monk doesn't back out and flurries his attacks against the devil.

"Hervey's down!" Skerdo bellows. "We're just going to have to take them down however we can--if we leave him to them there's no way he'll make it!" Gritting his teeth, he raises both blades. I'm going to regret this, I can tell...this is exactly what I wanted to avoid! He steps quickly through the doorway and chops at the dretch standing over Hervey's body, taking hart from the damage that Jomal seems to be dishing out on the other.

The situation seems dire for our heroes, with valiant Skerdo attempting to defend the fallen Hervy!
Jomal's strikes hits hard and despite his blows being absorbed by the flesh, the creature is obviously greviously wounded as it lurches from side to side by sheer impact of Jomal's mighty fists!!!!
Vasilli on the other hand is displeased at his current inability to aid his companions.

"You're gonna have to come in here if you want 'em!" Keeping his guard up, he darts away to bestride Hervey's prone body. "Door's open!" He swings his blades at the one dretch he can still reach.

With the one up in the corner hard to reach, Teloish moved so that if they tried to come out, he was waiting for them.
Not sure where the dretches are as it looks like two are attacking Skerdo but only one is next to him. If there are any in the same row as Teloish, attack. If not, move between Vasilli and Tsafento and ready to attack any dretch that come into range
