Winds biggest problem is that its revelations are not great at 1st level IMO, my Winds Oracle is dual cursed. But by 3rd level you essentially get 3 invisibility spells per day, which is great, then at 7th you get flight at an excellent flight ability. Makes for a great buffer or summoner.
The damage dealing revelations are mostly a bit disappointing - universally not just in Wind - but Touch of Electricity is great at low levels because you get loads of uses. Sadly its a bit worthless from 3-11. But this being PFS you could take it for the first 3 scenarios and then drop it in favor of Air Barrier or Lightening Breath.
Really its a personal preference thing I feel Time's revelations are better at low levels, but for my money Wind is more evocative - a lot of times effects are excellent but hard to visualize and just not as cool as shooting lightening flying and going invisible :)

How about some leather barding for your dog? Or better yet replacing dodge with light armor proficiency? AC is already decent, but he could make an even better tank with some lihth armor.

Pedwiddle |
A couple of comments from the optimizer in me (which should in no way be construed as a request to change your character, just not sure about some stuff).
First, is there a particular reason you chose a dog? I mean, I understand the appeal of the Huntmaster feat, but I really think you'd be better off taking a different feat and getting a wolf or a big cat.
Second, your AC is awfully low for a melee character. Druids don't really have much in the way of heavy armor options - dragonhide is about it. If that's your goal, then that's fine, but you may want to reconsider your melee role in the meantime.
Third, you really should pick up a sling, at least. You'll get to add your Str bonus, it's really cheap, and if you need a ranged weapon, you'll have one.
That's it for now, I think.

Here is Anaristiel, my Elven Oracle of Time. Feel free to check her out. Er, I mean, look her over. Erm...this isn't going to get any better, is it?
EDIT - I just realized I need to go over her equipment, because she is, for the most part, a shameless recreation of a failed submission to GM Lithrac's Shattered Star campaign, and that used average starting gold, not PFS gold.
P.S.: I agree with BP on the club/shield thing. That's what I did with my Saurian Shaman druid, though he keeps a scimitar around, as well. And a sling.

![]() |

Anaristiel seems a solid character! It's refreshing to see another angle on that archetype. Since you'll be using divine favor (and later probably prayer), why don't you take the Fate's Favored trait? It's so good that it's indecent.
I've made a few minor changes to the playlist. Since I've just received my planning for GardenCon (in July) and found out I was to play Hellknight's Feast, I'm proposing the following. Derek and I have both played Blakros Matrimony and (by that time) Hellknight's Feast, we could "split" the stars to use to replay those scenarios. Derek could GM one of them and play the other (thus using a star), and I'll do the reverse (using a star to replay the scenario Derek will GM and I'll GM the other one). Does it sound fair Derek? Honestly, both of these scenarios are well-worth the star use IMHO.

@Zizazat dodge is just a bit of a meh feat, your hp still seems to incorporate toughness and then some - it should be 9 or 10 by my count depending on favoured class bonus. Even with toughness I only get 13 at best. And if you are going to choose your animal companion on a power basis wolf would not be my pick - I love my Roc and my Velociraptor.
There is an excellent AC comparison list in a blog that I will spoiler below, I would suggest picking the highest you like flavor wise. If you still want to take huntmaster small cat is probably better than wolf at all levels certainly the low ones, and while its not as tough as large companions you will never have squeezing issues.

Lithrac, I am very happy to GM one and play the other for Blakros and Hellknights. Both definitely worth a star in my book as well.
So after much hand-wringing I think I DO want to try a gunslinger, but multiclass with Inquisitor.
Can't think of a name I like so far.

Anaristiel seems a solid character! It's refreshing to see another angle on that archetype.
Yeah, I really enjoy the concept of a reach-based spellcaster. That said, this character is martial enough that I'm debating whether I want to change her to a him...:-P
Since you'll be using divine favor (and later probably prayer), why don't you take the Fate's Favored trait? It's so good that it's indecent.
Ah, that's true - I'll replace reactionary with that, I think.

Great! Do you have a preference? I don't have any. I'm also glad you are going gunslinger/inquisitor, that's certainly an original combination! Any ideas on which god to be inquisitor of?

![]() |

@Broken Prince - Dodge is a bit of a meh feat, but I'm not sure what else to take and it will boost my AC. I mean, I guess I could take toughness on top of tribal scars but...I'd like power attack but of course I can't get that yet. I'm open to suggestions.
I haven't done a druid build before. I was going for a dog/wolf because of tribal scars for background reasons, though I suppose that a velocraptor in the Realm of the Mammoth Lords wouldn't be unheard of either :)

My last comment would just be to have you review your stats. Unless there's a particular feat you're going for (Int 13 for Combat Expertise, Dex 13 for Dodge, etc.) that requires an odd stat, you'll generally be better off going with even numbers.
Dependent on where you're planning on putting your ability bonuses at levels 4, 8, and 12, you may be better off taking a 15 and a 13, and making them 2 14's. For example, if you're planning on putting all of your increases into Wisdom, then perhaps make Str and Con both 14's (for a net +1 HP/Fort), and consider possibly putting one of your ability increases into Dex for the additional +1 Reflex/AC/etc.

![]() |

So I cannot claim any originality in the "sling-quisitor" - Another PBP player has one I heard about. It really doesn't take much to synergize, you just have to wait awhile until it really comes together at level 10.
As you guys said, it relies on class abilities mostly, and WIS is the secondary stat for both casting and grit, so that's nice.
Not entirely sure on deity yet. Abadar and Desna both offer the always popular Travel domain, but I want to pick more for flavor than optimization. And I like to stick with the Core 20, and aim for good or maybe neutral gods. I've got an inquisitor of Abadar and a cleric of Iomedae. Looking at Sarenrae, Erastil, and yes, even Desna.
And please excuse the name change. I'm hoping this one sticks. Character names are a big deal to me and how much I identify with the characters I play.

![]() |

Arcad worships Desna, for Butterfly Sting I'm afraid, but it does work pretty well as she amounts to the kind Shoanti goddess.

Broken Prince |

The conversion stuff can get old though, in PBP it can potentially slow things down, from their already glacial pace, as you probably ought to RP giving everything a chance to surrender and repent. I do love Sarenrae, and have a former Molochian torturer who is a cleric of her - I find him greatly entertaining, not sure about everybody else :)

![]() |

There's one more thing I wanted to discuss, actually: the shirt/folio rerolls. Does everyone have a shirt (I'll assume nobody used a folio for tese purely online characters)? Do we need to take 'proof' pictures with our silly faces wearing the T-shirts?
For the record, I own the Goblin Squad T-shirt, which allows a reroll.

DM Kludde |

You do realise you'll have to wear the same shirt for the entire session?
Don't have a shirt myself (or a folio, for that matter). I've allowed shirt rolls in the past, don't see why I wouldn't this time around.

![]() |

I don't either, but I've been in several games where they've been used (I assume on the honor system, but there might have been an exchange via PM I'm not aware of).

![]() |

When I try to follow the links to the next adventure I'm getting sent to the generic play by post page section of the website.

DM Kludde |

I greatly enjoyed DM'ing the last scenario. I took the liberty to enter my name for a couple of scenarios for which no DM was noted. Also, if anyone would ever rather play than GM, let me know (only augustana is off-limits for me)

![]() |

![]() |

Can someone tell me if Anaristiel will have to worry about spell failure % when she casts her bonus spells from the wizard/sorcerer spell list, or will she be casting them as divine spells?

DM Kludde |

I've pitched the idea before, but now that more information is available, it's probably a good idea to have more tangible plans:
I'd like to run all of season 6, more or less in order, when the scenarios come out.
This would mean running 2-3 simultaneous tables for all scenarios, and finding a group of players that can complete a scenario, on average, in a month's time.
If season 6 will be anything like season five, it will be quite a nice experience to run the thing in order, as the players (and the GM for that matter) will be more closely connected to the ongoing storyline. Also, playing the scenarios during their active season will allow players to actively influence the direction the campaign is taking (see the recent paizo blog posts for more info on how that works).
So I'm looking for the rare breed of players who can keep up regular posting for a year on at least two simultaneous tables. Moreover, the player should be available for all season 6 scenarios - which means you can't play them anywhere else, unless they're replayable.
As an aside, ideally the player would have characters in a all level ranges and a wide selection of factions. It is definitely not a deal-breaker if that isn't the case, provided you're willing to run pregens for the unavailable levels.
Can I bait anyone's interest?

![]() |

I think I'm up for it, as long as that doesn't disrupt any of the plans for this group. Unfortunately, however, most of my PFS characters are low-level (highest is 6th - and is committed already - but all others are 1-2, some of which are nearing 3). I'm not totally against playing pregens, though, so there's that.
Is it possible to, say, play a 1-6 table and a 7-12 table simultaneously, such that when your level 1-6 character is high enough level, you could apply the chronicles you got from playing 7-12 pregens and end up with a level 12 PFS character leveled solely in that season's content?

![]() |

Out of curiosity, why is it you need to play multiple tables at once? Is it just an issue of trying to get through all the modules quickly, so you're doing them in parallel?

![]() |

I'm definitely interested. I have many characters in all level ranges and factions, so count me in!
-Posted with Wayfinder

DM Kludde |

None of the season 6 scenario are on the play list (obviously), so as long as you keep your Orphan Lodge character reserved for the Orphan lodge, I don't see how it would interfere.
The reason for multiple tables is as follows: scenarios come out at a rate of two per month (though the first month seems to have three), so if you want to play them as they come out, there will have to be 2 tables in parallel. (Note that running two or three parallel tables is no issue for me, I'm typically juggling around five)
You'll be keeping pace with a lot of face-to-face players throughout the world: the paizo boards have a special section 'faction reports', where faction goals are updated throughout the season. Running games as they come out will give more a feeling of being part of a big, season-long special.
The big sacrifice you'll have to make is being unable to play any of the season 6 scenarios elsewhere. I think running the scenarios as soon as they appear minimises the temptation, though.
I realize sticking to the one-month-per-game timetable is going to be challenging, particularly for higher level scenarios where the combats tend to run longer, so there might be some accumulated delay along the line.
As for the 1-5 and 7-11 scenarios: The chronicle for 7-11 should be applied to the first character available. So if the 1-5 that you happened to play simultaneously with 7-11 turn to level 7, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to apply the chronicle there. I don't think you can get to lvl 12, though: last season had one month where two 1-5 scenarios came out, so playing them simultaneously would mean applying chronicles to two different characters.
Let me set up a discussion thread later today or tomorrow.

DM Kludde |

I've set up a discussion thread here. Feel free to dot in if you're interested in joining the project.

![]() |

Still no news of Broken Prince? I really hope he can come back before the end of the scenario.
I also wanted to advertise my own brand new PFS signup sheet. Feel free to sign up for any game you are interested in!

DM Kludde |

You're running five concurrently? Together with the orphan's? That is hardcore, I salute you.
Good choice of scenarios too - just wish I had a lvl 5 character... (Fissa is getting there)
The sudden disappearance of BP remains a mystery

![]() |

Not concurrently, this is a signup sheet, much like EF's. Games will start when there are enough people. I reckon my limit is at 2-3 GMed games at the same time, so I'll start with the ones that fill up first, and hold on the other ones for later. The interest is that people can sign up even if their characters aren't available, but update their status to available when they are so that I may know when 4-6 players are ready.
