Old Man Henderson fires through the night, striking the strange, cursing creature with three arrows. The last arrow flies into a tree. Vicotria sends a series of powerful arcane darts into the creature, but it still stands, spiting you all.

Brutus turns the undead warrior in front of him into dust with a pair of hammer-like blows and then turns his fists upon the adjacent warrior.

Zaas manages to bite his enemy, earning yet another mouthful of mummified flesh.

The (purple) warrior continues to swing ineffectually at the agile swashbuckler. Fandral then lops his head off. The (blue) undead engaged with Zaas manages to strike the eidolon with his first swing.

Is the tentacled thing also incorporeal?

| Extinction | url= |

It certainly looks like it could be.

The tentacled creature floats above the trees, its body as dark as shadow and absorbing the ambient light. Bits of its form tear away from it and reattach at random.

As Brutus approaches the dark creature, all sound disappears. The flying terror lashes out with its long tentacles and wraps the paladin in a crushing grip. Despite being entangled, the Mountain strikes the shadowy horror and learns that it is very solid.

The creature tries to hold onto the half-orc, but the paladin wrestles free. It lashes out with all of its tentacles, buffeting Brutus with powerful blows. It tries to engulf him in its many tentacles, but this time he knows what is coming and is able to defend himself. The creature drifts back and looks at Brutus.

The half-orc immediately begins to fall as the magic keeping him aloft is dispelled. As he drops, the sound returns to the world. In a feat of athletic mastery, Brutus uses the tress in a clever way to slow his fall.

Fandral easily dances out of the way of several arrows. Several more arrows fall around Victoria. One of them strikes an illusion and dispels that image.

I'm heading to bed and I don't want you guys to have to wait on me again. I'll post a couple contingencies.

If the Tentacle Monster was able to try a Pin and still Full Attack:
Finding himself out of the fight again, Brutus takes a moment to mend his wounds. He retrieves a stoppered vial and quickly quaffs its contents.

LOH: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7
CSW: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (5, 8, 2) + 5 = 20

If the Tentacle Monster wasn't able to attempt a pin and full attack in the same round (and the 30+ damage it did to Brutus was in error):
Brutus zips to the edge of the water and flings a knife at the monster's back.

Shuriken (range, melee, haste): 1d20 + 12 - 6 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 12 - 6 - 4 + 1 = 5
