Welcome back! Ready to be moved to Chamber 9, behind the secret door?
Wadi Ahk'kolon |
Wadi casts a quick cantrip and looks over the scroll. He then hands it to Archon. "Searing Light spell. May be useful against any undead we encounter here...like the Pharaoh."
Ready to move on here.

A weapon of light, and while it can be used against anything, hum, how do I say this, the Searing Light is only really intended to be used against two specific types of threats. Undead, and other things that are tied to the realm of negative and dark energies, and living, ravenous molds that dwell underground in the darkness. And someone hid this here for a reason. . ."

Archon the Divine Caller |
Oh, don't get me wrong, a divine scroll of NOT Cure/Remove/Restoration found in play is amazing. It's unheard of in PFS play. Was just trying to insert a bit of threat and danger to the game.
@ DM, you should add that into the Review. More scrolls for Divine Casters, less healing stuff.
Oloch Firebrand |
Archon, I was just reacting appropriately - in some things Oloch can be quite straightforward (at least in my head) ;)
Archon the Divine Caller |
No worries. I'm rarely serious.

Regarding the map -- still on mobile. Let's assume that most of you are in room 9. You had a small amount of time to look around before the mummy burst out of the sarcophagus.
"Did you see how he just burst out of that sarcophagus?!" Maurice says indignantly as Crowe runs past him. "Talk about shoddy workmanship!"
Crowe, you can recover and come back this round!
Jan Itor |
I adjusted the map positions slightly, to match most of us being in room 9, instead of in the doorway, I think I kept everyone the same relative distance away from the mummy though
Jan holds his ground waiting for Archon to attack, before muttering a quick prayer and attacking, then steps to the side to provide someone else with a more beneficial angle.
Wait for Archon so he can get flank (possibly one other person if they step in front of Archon), fervor for divine favor (swift), attack and then 5ft step. Hopefully giving 2 or 3 people flanking in the round. It probably leaves me resolving pretty late

On the mummy itself, you find an interesting looking amulet. Meanwhile, Maurice is looking through the stockpiled treasure. "Can you believe this rubbish?" He points a tentacle at a golden chair. "Where's the artistry?" He thwacks the chair. "And it's not even real gold, but cheap gold plate! This is nothing like the quality we found in the Hypostyle. That was workmanship!"
Then he turns to the shattered sarcophagus. "And don't even get me started on..." He pauses, tentacles quivering with excitement. "Ooh! I like this...." He pulls out a necklace with a gold charm that was lying in the bottom of the sarcophagus. It has some hieroglyphs on it.

You have a restful night's sleep. Those of you on watch have heated debates about the nature of art with Maurice. The only issue any of you faced was when Maurice playfully triggered the noisemakers shortly after everyone went to bed. You managed to explain to him that he shouldn't do that again...
The next morning you all successfully have your morning meditations, prepare your spells, put back on armor and eat an excellent breakfast from the rations that had been purchased in Sothis before leaving: tightly packed flatbreads, garlicky hummus, crunchy falafel balls, olives, preserved dates, and dried fruit.
After making all your preparations, you journey through the southern concealed door. Eventually, the hallway opens up into a large cavernous chamber [10]. Two woven reed boats sit end-to-end in this chamber, covered in a thick layer of dust. Carvings on the walls depict naval expeditions and boats bearing tribute for the pharaoh.
