"It as it should be - does it not feel liberating to have revealed yourselves as the undead monstrosity you are?" - the half-orc roars as he moves forward to swing, his moving deceptevily fast for someone that size, as he flanks their opponent with Crowe.

Archon, Quinn, Wadi, Crowe and Oloch are still up!

Crowe, Rager of the Society |

"Bah, slashing, blugeonning, bashing... Who cares?"
Crowe attacks nevertheless the zombie, charging.

Wadi nods silently as he looks down at the gory remains of the two ladies. I hope you have found peace at last.
"Yeah I think a prayer would be a good idea here."

GM Hmm |

After a few solemn minutes of prayers for the two girls, you search the room.
Perception, Archon: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Perception, Crowe: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Perception, Jan: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Perception, Oloch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Perception, Quinn: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Perception, Wadi: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Both Senetka and Bastetabi wore a variety of valuable bracelets, necklaces and rings to which Maurice gives a "tentacles up" of approval. On each girl is a lovely signet ring.
In addition, Wadi notices that Bastetabi wears a silver necklace with a blue gemstone that glows magical.
Senetka's body has a non-magical key on a chain hanging from her girdle. It's nicely made.

![]() |

Wadi holds up the bottle of wine. "This is quite the vintage! Does anyone have something to store this safely in?"
He then holds up the silver necklace and waves his hand over the blue gemstone and studies it further.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
He waves the others over excitedly. "A Periapt of Health! Whoever wears this is immune to all diseases, including supernatural diseases!"

GM Hmm |

When you look at the secret door again, it looks like it has a small key hole that the key might fit.

![]() |

I would actually. I'd also like to try to detect if they where in fact actually evil, though after their death it may be too late if there is no lingering aura.
If no one minds, I'll also take the two signet rings, a memento of sorts, and, "One must wonder what lore these two must have known. It is always heartbreaking. . ."[/b]

![]() |

I've finally caught up, (there was about 40 posts), and it appears we have explored all but the one (or possibly two) areas. One, I believe was on the far side and included the hieroglyph puzzle, and then this secret door, (if we spotted it), that may lead to the same area. Is that correct? If so, I was going to do a little bit of prebuffing before we enter the hieroglyph door, as we suspect it is the true final chamber, and I'd suggest we go in that way first. Before hitting the final hieroglyph:
Party - Bless
Jan - Shield of Faith (+2, 3 min)
Oloch - Bull's Strength (3 min), Barkskin (+2, 30 min)
Crowe - Shield* (1 min), Bull's Strength (3 min), Remove Fear
Wadi - Shield* (1 min)Comprehend Languages*
Archon - Shield* (1 min), Comprehend Languages*
Maurice - Comprehend Languages*
Shield and Comprehend Languages are from wands, and normally Shield can not be cast on another, but I figured I can pass the Wand around and let them cast it on themselves.

Bot Buddy 2000 |

BOTTING QUINN
Quinn nods. "The lore they must have known would have been considerable."
Quinn walks over to a drapery along the northern wall and pulls it aside to reveal a secret door with a keyhole. "Senetka was glancing this way when she spoke of longing to see her husband. I'll bet my stylish coat that this leads to him."

GM Hmm |

What other preparations are you making? Feel free to make them in character.

"Those two lovely women that you slaughter mercilessly :P mentioned they where the pharaoh's wives, so there is a good chance that this is some sort of secret back door for his easy access. I guess such a god can not walk but a few feet, but that's neither here nor there. It's likely, I'm waiting on the surprise twist here, ha ha, that since we already encountered a false tomb with an mummy that had received the incomplete version of the dark curse, this Amenti may be the full blown one, and likely carries a powerful curse in the palm of it's hand. Something far beyond my ability to heal or remove as it is both a plague and a curse, and can not be removed if both are not treated at the same time. It's very deadly.
I don't mind doing it in character, I just wasn't sure if we where actually ready for that, and just wanted to let everyone know what I was planning.

Forgot to answer this question:
Archon, when you detected evil, they were undead (so evil by default). Would you like to roll sense motive on the behavior you'd seen so far?

![]() |

As long as we are prepping for what seems to be the final fight I'd like to cast align weapon (good) on Crowe's Earthbreaker (duration 4 minutes), hit myself with CLW wand, and give out blessings of luck to Archon, Crowe, Oloch, Wadi, and Quinn
Oh, thank you Archon should last longer than my wand

As a DM, it's not something you normally have to worry about too much. If you forget about something, it's not usually an issue to reaccount for it, (such as Oloch actually did 3 more points of damage), if you forget. Don't let it get too you, no one can remember everything, and I forget my own buffs all the time. :P

Wadi wraps the bottle of wine up carefully and places it into his pack. He nods in thanks for the shield wand. "Keeps me from having to use my own magic here. Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Mostly I'm good, unless there was much more to it. I'm just not a fan of Undead = Evil 100%. Too much World of Darkness for that to fly as a universal law, ha ha.
EDIT: and of course, I roll a 20 here. Not when I make an actual attack. (Watch, my Searing Light is going to be a Nat 1 or 2). Not when it makes sense, but when all evidence to the contrary, I want to have a little fun. KKKKHHHHAAAAAAANNNNNNNN!!!!

GM Hmm |

Let me know when you guys are ready to roll forward into the next room.

GM Hmm |

Oh heck. Mummy Dearest is impatient. I’m moving you guys forward.
You walk slowly and cautiously through the secret door. A few pieces of erotic art that threaten to make Crowe blush line walls of this short hallway.
In the next room [18], huge granite slabs form the peaked roof of this chamber, the walls of which are incised with thousands of tiny hieroglyphs. In the center of the chamber lies an open stone sarcophagus, its granite lid cracked and broken on the floor next to it. A beautifully decorated wooden coffin lies inside, its lid also askew. Four alabaster canopic jars stand like guardians at the foot of the sarcophagus, while various grave goods lie heaped around the walls of chamber.
Then two figures emerge out of the shadows, one humanoid, the other vaguely lion-shaped.
Wrapped from head to toe in ancient strips of moldering linen and with a blue khepresh worn proudly on its brow, the humanoid moves with a shuffling gait. Then he straightens and holds himself before you. “I am Sekh-pa-Mefer III, Pharaoh of Sphinxes. Prostrate yourselves before me, mortals, for you are in the presence of your god!”

Will, Maurice: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 6 + 1 = 23
1d6 ⇒ 1
An aura of despair emanates from him, causing both Crowe and Quinn to be paralyzed for a round.
The Pharoah’s companion moves forward to stand guard alongside his master. A falcon's head and great wings adorn the body of this otherwise leonine creature. Once, this proud creature must have soared over the Osirion desert, the master of its domain. Now, its hide is a patchwork mess of hairless skin and rotted flesh, and empty sockets where its eyes once glared.
What do you do?

By the Hells! I'll have to risk it now...
He bends his waist down as if to prostrate himself while muttering arcane words under his breath. As he finishes his spell he suddenly cries out, "Here is MY tribute, Ohhh Pharaoh!" and points a finger at both Sekh-pa-Mefer III and his pet.
Cast Glitterdust on both Sekh-pa-Mefer III and his pet. Will save DC 15 or be Blinded for 4 rounds. You may roll saves at the beginning of each round afterwards. Any creature covered by the dust takes a –40 penalty on Stealth checks.

Quinn sighs, looking at their outraged hosts. "This was so avoidable, with a little tact..." But he's a Pathfinder. He cooperates.
"Keep in mind Master Quinn... Regardless of my opinion about long winded, and erudite conversations with the unliving, they were the ones opening hostilities, and not the other way around"
Senetka screams, "Bastetabi! My sister!"
She slams against Jan... and still misses, bouncing off the edge of his shield. "Aaargh! Let me at him! Let me at the one who slew Bastetabi!"
"Come then - it is your right!" - Oloch roars - "Come for the chance to avenge your dreadful sister. And let the strongest of us stake their claim!"
Archon clears his throat, and looks to Jan. "Is it alright if we say a prayer for these two lost souls?"
After an approving nod at the way Crowe bashed down the second sister, the half-orc turns to Archon - "Of course - regardless of what they were now, their souls should still possess a shred of their former selves, and a chance at redemption" - the warpriest takes to one knee, supported by his greatsword - "Lead the proceedings brother Archon"

"All things considered, I'd suggest Oloch, the slayer of beautiful innocent women wear it."
"I'll accept it" - Oloch retorts with a laugh - "In case there are any other 'beautiful innocent women' in need of slaying" - he adds with a wink to Archon - "And brother, I hope we will have a chance to speak about standards afterwards I hope"
