The rest of the room is empty, and the skulls had nothing with them.

After clearing the doors you open them to reveal:
Two stories of tightly packed bookshelves line the western half of this
musty chamber, and a massive mural map of what must be the Inner Sea region from eons ago adorns the east wall. An enormous skeleton of a huge, twelve-legged reptile clutters the center of the room.
An armored elf with the symbol of Sarenrae on her shield and a bulky half-ore warrior with tribal markings and a nasty spear are on the second floor of the bookshelf balcony. Both bear glowing blue sigils on their left hands, and the half- ore also bears a red glyph on his right. They look unhealthy and agressive

@Clandelve, I didn't take the boulder helmet into account, so that saves you 1 negative lvl and 10 damage. Good item to have ;)
Clandelve still reeling from the hit swings his hammer a few times and manages to hit once and then swings with his shield and misses
I think you missed the penalty to hit for being large?, and the bonus for the inspire? Which evens out for your to hit but you'd do more damage. Also not sure which one your aiming for..since Shayla is going for the other one I'll assume you'd hit the blue one since you are the only one who can hit it right now.

Looks like I'm out of luck again, and will have to deal with the expensive status effects at the end of the adventure. The biggest problem that I see is that every time there's an expensive resource drain, you are more poorly equipped to avoid them the next time. Plus, the same characters are more likely to be hit with the effects if they are in harm's way. Regardless, it is what it is, and I'll have to deal with it after the adventure.

The library represents one of the best surviving storehouses of ancient Azlanti lore remaining to history.
Unfortunately, the organic matter of the books rots instantly if removed from the Sanctum, so salvaging value out of the books involve s a time- consuming transcription effort that harvests 1,000 gp of historical value from the documents for every week spent copying their secrets.
For further loot:
The armor the 2 undead were wearing doesn't seem like it's worth a lot, neither do their weapons. You do notice that both bear glowing blue sigils on their left hands, and the half-orc also bears a red glyph on his right hand.
Shayla doesn't think that the door to the next room is trapped or locked.

Fresh blood splatters the white tile of this operating laboratory, which is lit by mirrored lamps hung from chains suspended in the shadows of the distant ceiling. A sturdy wooden table near the center of the room holds the lightning-charred corpse of a bald human man with a broom-bottom beard. Smaller tables and bookcases nearby hold the gore-spattered spoils of a recent battle.
Of more immediate concern are the room's inhabitants: A human wearing a cloak, some goggles a headband and a belt as well as a fine crafted dagger. And a skinless dire tiger, which seems a bit translucant. The human male greets you warmly (despite his dubious surroundings). He welcomes you in Azlanti, saying;
