            Lars sways and screams, partly to brace himself, mostly in pain as the flame burns him.
The brief rush of adrenaline he gained from seeing his blow strike flesh is short lived, and as the missiles strike, he is almost too far gone to shout. His face twists in agony and he nearly goes down to one knee.

Shayla comes to her senses quickly after that and Kalaron let's go of her.

The corpse on the table has a glowing yellow sigil on his left hand and is wearing bracers (magical).

            Clandelve eyes the loot with glittering eyes.
I'm currently wearing a non-magical breastplate, so the +2 breastplate would be a big improvement for me. I also wouldn't mind the belt of mighty constitution, amulet of natural armor, or the cloak. I certainly am not asking for all of it, but those are the items I'm interested in if no one else could put it to better use. I already have a belt of giant strength.

"If no one minds I'll take the belt that increases constitution. Akeyra by the way wore an amulet of mighty fists. If someone wants to borrow it till we leave this place, be my guest."

            After equipping the belt, Shayla puts on the headband of vast intellect. Her eyes grow two sizes when the headband imparts its effect on her.
"Everything is so much clearer now!" Shayla exclaims. "I see it! I see it all, haha!"
Shayla retrieves the hands she cut off of the undead earlier. "Both left hands have blue sigils, and there's one right hand with a red sigil. The corpse on the table has a yellow sigil, the only color we didn't yet have!"
She moves over to the corpse and uses one of her swords to cut off the hand with the yellow sigil. "The statues at the start had these sigils on them. Placing these hands in the statues may trigger something! Though... I'm weary of passing that creepy place in the hallway again... I have a feeling we almost died there..."
"Shall we first check the doors in this room, and see where they lead us? Or shall we go back and try thing with the sigils and statues? It's a gamble either way."

            After healing up and distributing the found items you examine the northwest door in this room to find out it's unlocked and not trapped, you open and reveal:
This extravagant bedroom features a bed flanked by nightstands, two wardrobes against the walls near the center of the room, a couch and low table, and a large tiger-pelt rug.
As soon as you open the door the large tiger pelt animates as a shroud upon a spectral form, almost as if the essence of the skinless tiger you just killed is giving it some sort of force or energy to take it revenge on you.

Clandelve smashes into the animated tiger pelt twice with his hammer, but his shield fails to penetrate the magic shield that's animating the tiger pelt (doesn't hit AC, it has a deflection bonus and some natural armor) the blows he did deliver seem to be softer then you'd normally expect (the force animating the tiger pelt is incorporeal)
