GM Star Reward, Student of Spells - Diverse Training: Little irritates Aram Zey more than hearing uneducated louts recite the stereotypical foibles of arcane spellcasters, and he pushed you to practice a wide range of skills so that you are not to be upstaged by less erudite allies. Once per scenario, you may attempt a skill check as if you were trained in that skill. Your bonus on the check is equal to three plus your number of GM stars and is modified by no other modifiers (including armor check penalty, ability modifiers, etc.).

GM Star Reward, Student of Spells - Retributive Abjuration: Accidents happen in the world of magic, and a resourceful agent of Spells knows how to turn disaster into an advantage. Once per scenario as a swift action, you siphon away harmful energy and redirect it; this is a supernatural ability that functions as the spell draconic reservoir (Pathfinder RPG Advanced Player’s Guide 217), except the effect lasts for a number of rounds equal to your number of GM stars and can only absorb 3 points of energy damage per GM star.

Moment of Glory: Whether it is by fate, fortune, or circumstance, you are able to tap into a hidden reserve of power at just the right moment to perform a truly extraordinary feat. By activating this boon as a free action, you become a mythic character (1st mythic tier) for 3 rounds. If you fall unconscious due to hit point loss during this time, you automatically stabilize without needing to attempt a Constitution check. In addition, once before this effect ends, you may use the surge mythic ability to increase any d20 roll you just made by rolling 1d6 and adding it to the result. Using the surge is an immediate action taken after the result of the original roll is revealed. This can change the outcome of the roll. When you use this boon, cross it off your Chronicle sheet; however, anytime you successfully complete (earning the maximum possible number of Prestige Points) a scenario that using the “hard mode” option, you may have the GM sign this boon. You may use this boon one additional time for each such signature you receive.

Explorer: Once per adventure before attempting an Acrobatics, Climb, Survival, or Swim check, you gain a circumstance bonus equal to 1 plus half the number of goals you have completed (rounded down) when attempting the check. Background:
Born as the first daughter of a royal family of elves, her parents wished for Shayla to grow up to be a lady. Shayla did however not feel much for this, and spent most of her childhood in the woods. Whenever her parents would restrain Shayla to her room, hoping to discipline her, she would practice sword fighting in her room.

When her parents found out about Shayla practicing sword fighting, they were enraged. Surely their daughter had no need for such a barbaric skill. That was when Shayla, at that moment a "young" elf maiden of age 44, decided she'd had enough. She announced to her parents she would leave to live on her own in the woods. Despite her parents' pleas, Shayla did what she'd announced.

Many years later, at the age of 96, Shayla met a human man named Thomar. They fell in love and Shayla moved in with Thomar in his house in a human village. Blinded by love she did not notice the man she loved only desired her body, and did not truly love her. And so it happened she would one day find Thomar with several other women from the village in her own bed. Sick with grief Shayla left Thomar, seeking help from the other villagers.

This was when Shayla realized she had been blind all the time she'd lived in the human village. The men would only help her out of lustful desires, which Shayla refused to give into. The women hated her for stealing their men's "hearts". So Shayla fled the village, going back into the woods after 5 years of living a lie. Humans, she had decided, were despicable creatures.

It was well over a decade later, the "young" elf now being 113 years of age, Shayla met another elf. The elf she met was another woman, named Danyl, and member of the Pathfinder Society. Danyl told Shayla about many adventures, and Shayla became fascinated with the stories of adventure. Danyl helped Shayla find the Society's headquarters, and that's when Shayla's own adventure as a member of the Pathfinder Society started.

Personality:
Despite her parents' attempts to raise Shayla as a lady, she is far from lady-like. Proper etiquette isn't something she's ever bothered to learn. Shayla tends to speak her mind, even when it would be wise to refrain from saying anything. Though she isn't dumb, it should be mentioned she's not extraordinary bright.

After being betrayed by her lover, a human named Thomar, Shayla felt abandoned by the entire human village she lived in. This led her to believe all humans are cruel, and that's something she doesn't mind sharing whenever she meets one.

Shayla has great admiration for Ketephys, the elven god of the hunt. Elves don't usually revere their gods the way humans do revere their gods, but instead see them as sources of inspiration. For Shayla this also holds true.

Appearance:
Shayla is rather tall, being 6 feet (1.83 m), and has a rather low weight of 100 lbs (45.4 kg). Her physique is graceful and slender, accentuated by her long and pointed ears. Her wide eyes are filled with a light blue. Despite living in the woods for many years her skin has a pink tone, and her hair is a very light blond. Shayla has her hair up and held together with a brown hair tie and several long feathers in various shades of brown.

The outfit Shayla wears, consists of several pieces of clothing and a few accessories. She wears a yellow cloth shirt with a brown leather jacket over it, and a brown cloth skirt that reaches just above her knees. Sturdy brown boots with yellow laces are worn on her feet, and on her hands she wears brown fingerless gloves. As accessories she wears a brown leather belt and a yellow cloth scarf. Against the cold she wears a brown cloak made of cotton.
