(PFS/PBP/Roll20) Before the Dawn - Part 2: Rescue at Azlant Ridge (Inactive)

Game Master Amsheagar

You are sent to Aspis Consortium-infested Bloodcove to gather supplies for a nearly doomed Pathfinder mission nearby. Disguised as ordinary merchants, you have little time to gather what you need and get out before the Consortium discovers and destroys you.

With supplies in hand, you rush from Bloodcove to the Pathfinder expedition site at Azlant Ridge only to find it under siege. You must brave the newly discovered halls beneath the ridge in order to find the key that might save everyone.

Hi ive been searching for a group to join just had some questions:

1. its this a dungeon crawl adventure?
2. what is the parties composition like?
3. what system will you be using roll 20 or somthing of the sort?
4. have you decided on a time when you will be playing?

and 5. are you interested in inviting a semi experienced player? ive been playing pathfinder for a few years now but have little to no experience playing online if so id love to join =)

Scarab Sages

Declindgrunt,
we have a bard, monk, wizard and sorcerer. As the name indicates, it's Pathfinder Society, Play-by-Post and on Roll20(PFS/PBP/Roll20).

Starting time is when we get one or two more people. This is the 2nd game i have GMed online, so all are welcome.

The second part of this.. is part detective and part monster fight.

so this is played both on roll 20 AND play-by-post? im confused

Scarab Sages

Roll20 for map movement only.

Silver Crusade

We use the Roll20 for combat placement. The pbp portion consists of the Die rolling for combat and otherwise and the Role playing.

thank you guys for all the information but ive never been comfortable with the play by post style of game, I do wish you luck with your future adventures!

Scarab Sages

Take it easy.

My situation is not too different from declinedgrunt
A few questions:
1. Do you have to download/sign in for roll20?
2. How often are players expected to post?
3. How do you deal with the "printout" requirement of materials in a PbP game?
4. Rollplay or roleplay?

Scarab Sages

You'll have to sign in for roll20. I will update the game after each player has taken their turn.
For example,
Round 3
----Up Next----
Jake,
Nancy,
Paul,
Npc1
Frank,
Jordan,
NPC2, NPC3

Jake, Nancy and Paul can make their actions, I don't care for which order they post, they'll act on their turn order. I'll put their actions into effect. Then I'll move onto the NPC1's action. Then I'll update the round order.
Round 3
Jake,
Nancy,
Paul,
Npc1
----Up Next----
Frank,
Jordan,
NPC2, NPC3

Any handouts required will be in spoilers.

faction mission X:

The spoiler sections like this are usually up if there is a perception check, handout, or question to a player. If you don't trust your fellow players not to look at the message, or it sensitive information, send it as a PM.

If you like to rollplay or roleplay, it's up to you. I tend to do both. If the players want more of one than the other, I'll do that. This group is currently 50/50.

Thanks.
The reason I ask about post frequency is that I'm in Asia, with day and night switched from the Americas.

Scarab Sages

Dude, i am about 3 hours north of Tokyo.

Nice :)

Scarab Sages

I update and post in-between 8am Japanese Standard Time (like -10 i think) and 11pm JST.

I'm at my in-laws for the month, so not the best computer access (and roll20 is down atm). I'll check to see if I can hold up my end tomorrow, and let you know. Not neccessarily asking you to wait for me though.

Liberty's Edge

How about a Wayang Shadow Puppeteer (racial bard archetype)? I made this one for PFS play, but never got a chance to use it as yet. I checked the recent PFS Additional Resources guide and this character should be PFS-legal.

It just sounded so weird, I wanted to give it a go at some point...

Silver Crusade

Extra sexy. sounds terrifying.
We would also benefit form a battle turtle.

Scarab Sages

just one question. How did you get that avatar?... and yes, you can play.

Liberty's Edge

@Amsheagar:

Got the Avatar when I set up the character. The avatar thing lets you search for different kinds, and that avatar was there when I looked for "bard". Couldn't find any Wayang avatars, so I picked that (silly) avatar.

And thanks for that!

Liberty's Edge

@Amsheagar: Forgot about my PFS number. I guess you'll need that at some point, eh?

The Exchange

I'd like to sign up with my Wayang, wolf-riding, cavalier Cade (71213-5). He is still level 1, has 2 mods under his belt.

Scarab Sages

I'll need it in the discussion part. You two are in since I haven't heard anything from Guang dot in the gameplay section. I'll get the map set up in the next 24 hours.

Recruitment is closed.

Liberty's Edge

@Amsheagar:

Cool! Thanks.

The Exchange

Sweet!!
