Hey there.
My name is Ben, and I'm looking for 4 or 5 people who would like to play through the Pathfinder Society scenario, "Black Waters." It was written by Tim and Eileen Connors. The description of the scenario is as follows:
The Pathfinder Society seeks the ancient ruby ring of the salamander and it falls to a team of Pathfinders to find it. Last seen in the Tri-Towers Yard, a once elite academy for the youth of Absalom, the ruby ring is now lost in the Drownyard, all that remains of Tri-Towers after it was destroyed a decade ago in the great quake. The Pathfinders must risk the strange black ichors and salty brine to find their prize—will they risk their very souls as well?
This will be run as a legal Pathfinder Society game, so all the characters will earn a PFS Chronicle for their efforts.
This scenario can be ran either under tier 1-2 or 4-5. The tier choice will be picked depending on the characters submitted. If you don't have a Society character, that's fine. You're welcome to build a new PC according to the free Guide to the Pathfinder Society. (If I were to oversimplify, I would say: it's a 20-point buy, 150 starting gold. There are a handful of campaign-specific rules.)
* I only want people who are able to post at least once a day, throughout the week. More frequently is welcomed. I move fast as a DM. If the party is in a battle and the PC doesn't act within 48 hours after the monsters act, I reserve the right to bot the PC or have the character go full-defensive.
* I use group initiative. What I do is average my creatures initiative modifier then add it to a d20 roll. Then average the PC's initiative modifier and add it to a d20 roll. The characters can go in any other when it is there turn to go. The side that has the highest roll goes first, then flip-flops from there. This speeds things up on the boards since you don't have to wait for the dwarf fighter to go so that you can act.
* I will roll saving throws, AoO's and some skills depending on the situation. If there is an error with the roll, feel free to let me know.
* No meta-gaming, faerie whispering or telling people what they should do during a battle or conversations. Only short phrases should be used on your turn during combat.
* I ask that you do not read spoiler tags that are not in your name.
I will select a group and get the ball rolling Sunday'ish. I will use Google Docs for a grid map and Dropbox for player handouts.
So please provide a completed character with its PFS number. If you wish, provide an introduction along with any other information that "sells" your PC.
Any other questions, feel free to ask,
Neb da GM.

@Nebten: Is there anything in particular you're looking for in a character, or that you'd like to see? I'll be creating a level 1 character, and I'm open to just about any race/class combination.
Also, about how long do you expect the scenario to take? I don't have any problem with a long game, I'd just like to know ahead of time how long it could take.
Thanks!

I'll field a couple questions while I'm here.
Those interested in Pathfinder Society: Click on the Pathfinder Society icon on the top left side corner of most pages on Paizo (including this one!) That will direct you to a series of links to submerse you into what PFS Organized Play is all about.
I'm going to be honest and say that I think this scenario is a tough one. I feel brand, new out the gate PCs might have a hard time. Trust me, its for your own safety. And this is coming from the guy trying to kill you. =v)
Checkerwall: Merefolk are not legal to play in PFS. Please review the guidelines I linked to in my original post.
Pedwiddle: I see where you are at in your adventure. I believe your DM is going to continue with the First Step series. I would recommend finishing out the series with that PC.
Greens: Don't make the character for me, make it for you. But again, a brand new 1st level PC will be lower on the priority list. To answer your second question, the last PFS game I ran (A Vision of Betrayal) lasted 5 weeks. If we have frequent posters, I figure the same amount of time.
Ezrek: Come as you are, as you were, as I want you to be. Enjoy the Con, rockstar. Again, maybe better to have a level 2 Ezrek than a level 1 Bob the Inquisitor. I promise not to Web you again. Of course, Greasing down Luisila was fun . . .
Otherwise, make sure all characters are properly updated by Sunday'ish.

Ezrek: ... I promise not to Web you again. Of course, Greasing down Luisila was fun . . .
*Curtsies and waves to Haraldir and Omrax*
“Ezrek, we had an old Wand of Grease lying around the Temple I was going to ... taxate ... and give to you as a gag gift for Foundation Day.”
“Unfortunately, I had a bit of an emergency last night at the Pleasure Salon involving a Minotaur barbarian and managed to use up all of the remaining charges ...”

I would like to submit Dolgren (Half-orc sorcerer)
Background story on Dolgren: I come from a faroff village called Dolgo. The village started out very peaceful and prosperous where fear was an unatural feeling to them. Humans and Orcs got along together and even dwarfs were cheerful. Then one day a warlord by the name of Achor strode his army into the village. The warlord demanded unpayable amounts of money from the village. The village council ordered thier warriors to resist the army but were easily overun by the better trained and equiped warriors. The village was destroyed and the creatures there were sold into slavery . But in the midst of all the death and suffering was a being whos parents were killed in the fighting who had unatural powers and had the natural ability for magic. That child grew up with revenge in his eyes and when he became an adult he left the solitude he grew up in alone. When he travaled to a more populated area he asked of his villages fate from a town scribe who kept records of happenings. He said that the slave caravan leaving from his village was lost when they crossed a range of strange moutains and were never found or seen again. So to this day Dolgren is still trying to find the remains of his village.

I acknowledge the fact that this scenario is "tough" and am ready/willing to deal with the consequences of Haraldir's potential demise :-)
J/k of course. I will update character sheet immediately, but since Haraldir did not finish First steps parts 1 and 2, I understand that he might not be the best choice for this specific scenario. So whatever Neb decides, I'm cool with it.

Not recognize him? Did you pick up a "magical" girdle somewhere?
