Making your way to the southeast wall of the cave, you find a ladder made up of iron runs affixed to the rocky face. It descends 15 feet to the platform and ledge below. Further east, the platform narrows to a rocky ledge, and the floor drops off and is replaced by a 30-foot deep pit with a floor covered in sharp and jagged rocks.

Just as Kelumur and Flyn begin to make their way along the ledge, there is a cacophonous eruption of angry voices shouting hateful curses.

In Thassilonian:
"Blood and death! Blood and death! Give it to us! Give it to us!"

The shouted curses hit the nimble pair like a knife to the heart, and they find themselves reeling on the edge of the pit!

@Kelumur and Flyn, please give me a Will save, DC 14. Then another Acrobatics check. This time you are unable to take 10 due to the imminent peril. If you fail the Will save, the check will be at a -4 due to the effects of the curse laid upon you by this haunt.

As he tries to regain his balance, Flyn looks along the ledge and spots another statue with a piece of what looks like a mask of some sort strapped to it.

Going through phantom class details, my interpretation is that there's nothing to suggest it is floating. It has no flight speed or equivalent , and is not immune to trip

@Bartolomey, I can't blame you for the confusion. I have a spiritualist that I've been playing too and it always feel like the incorporeal form should be able to fly for some reason. It turns out that is part of the phantom's abilities, but not until 9th level.
@Kelumur, I'm not going to bother with initiative for now, since not all of you really need to cross the ledge, and you only activate the haunt if you attempt to cross the ledge.

Orophin is quickly able to answer Cade's question as her spell detects the presence of the necromantic energy of the haunt. Her spell is unable to perceive past the bend in the wall on the other end of the ledge.

On the ledge, both Flyn and Kelumur manage to resist the effects of the hateful presence and maintain their balance until they make it across the narrow ledge. They squeeze through a narrow passage into a small chamber beyond.

Set in this cavernous grotto is a statue carved from dark stone depicting a frightening demonic creature tearing a human apart. Tentacles wrap around the figure and others wriggle outward. Each tentacle terminates in a claw, talon, pincer, or other wicked appendage meant to inflict pain. Its circular maw contains rings of jagged teeth which grip an oddly shaped piece of black metal, its surface etched with symbols.

"... Another one? What significance is this? And why go through so much trouble to hide it." Kelumur turns to Flyn regarding the ungodly carvings before taking a closer look, paying attention particularly anything out of the ordinary or subtle differences between the statue found here and the one above.

Flyn looks to the rogue and shrugs. "I'm not certain...but I wonder if these 'masks' are separate pieces of something larger....perhaps other pieces await to be found..."

He will await to see what Kelemur's study of the statue reveals; if nothing suspicious about the statue is perceived, Flyn will carefully climb the statue and retrieve the mask...

Kelumur doesn't perceive anything noteworthy about or around the statue, and so Flyn skillfully climbs the statue, avoiding the various claws and hooks, and unties the piece of metal from the statue.

With a chorus of furious screams, everything suddenly goes dark for Flyn and Kelumur! With his orcish sight, though, Kelumur's vision soon adjusts and he sees that he and Flyn are back in the chamber stacked with the long-dead victims once again, just outside the cave entrance they and their companions had opened just a few minutes before!

He looks to Kelemur. "That was...interesting. Let's compare the piece we found on that statue with the first piece you retrieved..."

Holding up the two pieces side by side, Flyn can see that both appear to have intricately carved teeth and grooves along the edges, as if they might fit together with other such metal pieces. After rotating the pieces for a moment, he finds that these two pieces fit together easily to form the brow and nose guard and right cheek guard of a mask of some sort!

Kelumur nods to Flyn, but clearly finds himself worried about the magic that masks the ruins."The path was a dead end, with another grotesque statue at the end. I don't know the significance of it, but Flyn has picked up something." Kelumur explains then points to the mask held in the elf's hands.

Turning to the unexplored path, Kelumur signals the scouting party to follow him down in the shadows, peeking around the corner.

Proving yourselves to be keen-eyed Pathfinders, several of you notice two things as you arrive at the southern end of the hall. To the east, you see what appears to be a secret door, while to the south, you see another wall that looks as if it could be broken down with sufficient work, similar to the ones you have previously demolished.

"One way to find out Orophin." Responds the half-orc.

As Flyn works the door, Kelumur indicates everyone to quiet down then cracks and slowly opens the secret door.

Through the secret door, Flyn hears muffled screams, followed by a sort of bestial barking that he could almost mistake for laughter. As he tries the door, he finds that it easily pivots inward, and steps aside for Kelumur to lead the party inside.

As Kelumur slowly opens the stone doorway, he creeps through and peers through the darkness of the long corridor in which he finds himself. This long and narrow chamber contains niches in the walls that hold a number of statues, some of which are humanoid and some of which are clearly demonic. Murals cover the walls depicting human cultists being abused and reshaped by demonic figures. The ceiling of this black stone chamber is barrel-vaulted fifteen feet above.

At the far northward end of the room stand three grotesque humanoid figures, with pale flesh and long, sharp claws. Two of the creatures have a human male, held by the arms, kneeling between them, forcing him to watch the third of the monstrosities slowly drag a claw across the bare chest of another human male. Both men appear to be wearing the attire of the workers you found slaughtered outside the temple, and both appear to be alive. A third man lies nearby, not moving at all.
