I made a small adjust to the map because I mentioned before that Duskin was keeping his distance from the wolf.
The wayang interrupts his performance, as soon as the combat breaks, and starts a different one - making a Shadow Celestial Eagle appear in front of the wolf!
The Save DC is a 15 (Will) for disbelief, cutting its HP and damage to 20%
He immediately tells the eagle to attack with its smite, which the illusion animal does.
Using Smite Evil. If the Wolf is evil, please ignore any DR he might have, and add an extra +1 for damage

The wolf hops forward and exhales a blast of freezing, rancid breath at the Pathfinders
@Berato, Hskroto & Zhatara: Reflex for half damage. Does anybody have cold resistance?

Zhatara drank a potion before but I don't know if the effect is still up. That said I doubt Zhatara would have placed herself directly into the wolf's jaws so to speak. Anyway...

@Zhatara: Resist energy has way too short a duration to help with the weather, so you wouldn't have drank the potion.
Berato - 5 damage
Hskroto - 5 damage
Zhatara flashes the wolf with a billion bright lights, but it seems to have little effect on the dangerous creature. It doesn't fare so well against Korug though, as the half-orc breaks its spine with a single blow. The white body crumples to the snow, barely breathing.
After things have calmed down, you finally enter the tunnel and find intricate gilded stonework adorning the entrance, and a complex marble mosaic paving the floor. Arrow slits flank the north and south sides of the hall, but the north side has collapsed and is choked with rubble. On the eastern end, two 10-foot-tall marble statues of armored dwarves flank a fresco depicting an opulent throne room. The faces of the statues have been broken off.
Ice covers the floor. Characters must spend 2 squares of movement to enter a square covered by ice, and the DC for Acrobatics checks increases by 5. Note: this is a different effect than difficult terrain.

After Berato heals the last of everybody's wounds, you move deeper into the complex and discover a cylindrical chamber covered in thousands of icicles. The outside edge forms a perfect circular curve, cutting into stone without mark of chisel or tool, impossibly smooth. Only places where ice flows over the stone, or where the structures have collapsed, mar the perfect precision of the cylinder. The remains of workshops and living spaces, still furnished, pea through holes in the cylindrical void. At the southern and western edges of the cavern, large portions of the stone and ice have collapsed, cutting into the immense void with piles of rubble.
The map isn’t even close to scale. This sphere is HUGE.

"Well... this' actually impressive... How do you even explain it? Any ideas? Uliyara? Does your people know anything of this?" asks Zhatara sounding pensive.

The nagaji sets up just outside the door, ready for it to be opened.
It looks like we are going to the left door first.

"Yeah, since he made the decision to allow the sorceress Hao Jin to teleport a huge part of his clan hold away it seems this dwarf here was some sort of ruler but he tarried behind to save his son and got left here. Given how these events happened thousands of years ago I'd say he got turned ito some sort of undead or the like. An unfortunate fate, truly. And it's a pity he didn't have what we are searching on him." comments Zhatara as she prepares to get out of the complex.

![]() |

"Hao Jin? I heard rumors of this ancient sorceress back at the Grand Lodge... evidence of her passage is all over the Society's archives... now, looking at these notes, it pleases me that this clan had Torag in high esteem... it gives me hope that something honorable can yet be uncovered during this blasted cold venture! You won't have enough time or warmth to rest for the night.

Seeing Zhatara about to escalate the situation right after Duskin diffused it, Uliyara speaks up on your behalf, "Peace, cousin. These are friends. They helped me return safely after the ambush at Whitethrone, and even protected me against Urgalaena's minions."
"Then they were not the ones who attacked your trade envoy?" Kiryena asks.
"No," Uliyara replies, "I suspect that was my dear aunt's work. Some of the attackers wore Saarbotten uniforms."
Once Kiryena realizes that her cousin is in no danger, her companions help you make camp for the night. Uliyara relates the full story of your adventure together in great detail and with tremendous skill, obviously an experienced storyteller. In the morning, she bids you farewell, but promises that you will meet again someday.
