Hi, I am recruiting players for a Pathfinder Society play-by-post game. I will be running First Steps 2: To Delve the Dungeon Deep. I am looking for 4-6 players.
First off, I am a new GM, and pretty new to PbP, so please understand that I'm learning as I go. In that vein, I would appreciate it if interested players with characters built primarily out of the Core Rulebook would apply. If not, please be ready to explain how your character (i.e. cavalier, magus, ninja, etc.) works to me.
I am looking to get things up and running in the next day or two, so please reply below if you are interested.
This is a Tier One campaing. Please post as your character so that I can review all the pertinent details to ensure it's PFs legal.
Thanks!

I'm looking to have this character run some of the first steps before they go away. He's an inquisitor, which makes him somewhat like a divine skills character. Only fancy trick at level 1 is he gets a judgement that one a day, he can get +1 to hit for the remainder of the fight.
Stats and background in profile.

Everything looks good so far. As of now we have the following characters:
Mez Masterson: Inquisitor
Ebon Kai: Barbarian
Targost: Sorcerer
Dracothis Antemar: Bard (Archaeologist)
We have enough players to start, but I am going to give anyone else out there until Friday June 21 to apply.
Daniel, has Targost been through any scenarios?
Same question for Dracothis.
This is only to make sure gear gibes with available GP.
| GM Derek W |
No he is new..I started with standard money (150gp) hope that was right
The only item in question is your bow. A composite longbow runs 100 GP, but each +1 STR bonus added costs another 100 GP - so the bow you're carrying is a 300 GP item.
My advice for now is to use a standard longbow (75 GP) for your first session, then perhaps use 2 Prestige Points (which can be traded in for one item worth up to 750 GP) to buy a Masterwork Composite Longbow (costs 600 GP), or just spend the extra gold when you have it.
This is what I had to do with my Ranger and things worked out pretty well.
I really don't want to be a jerk or anything, but since we're playing for credit I have to check into these things more carefully than I normally might.
Calanthe Rossa

Hey Derek, would love to throw my hat in the ring with Calanthe, a tiefling 'white necromancer' (i.e., a hedge witch). Making the most of First Steps II and III before they get retired. She has yet to go through any scenarios as the first PbP she was in died an unfortunate death.
If you would prefer for me to play a more 'core' character than this, I'm happy to switch as needed, perhaps to a cleric of Pharasma just for this session. (Yay for free rebuilds while you're 1st level.) I can provide you with any information about the mechanics of my build though as required.

Hi GM Derek W,
Would there still be room and time for another player? I'm brand new to PBP and the Pathfinder Society, so I would appreciate a chance to join a new GM and some other new players.
I could play a character type as needed. I have a gnome cleric mostly ready, and an elf universalist wizard and a dwarf paladin that would need some quick work. It seems that cleric and rogue (although I miss deep halflings...) are not present in the group. (Is there any traditional dungeoneering in PFS for a classic rogue/'thief'?)
I am gaming in the second session of an in-person PF game tonight, but I could probably have everything ready by tomorrow.
Thanks,
FurtiveZoog

We can actually take up to six players, and we have 5 right now, so yes, there's a spot. A cleric would be great - this scenario is a dungeon crawl that's a bit heavier on combat encounters than others. I haven't playd a scenarios where the rogue/thief was badly missed, but they can work well as two-weapon figthing sneak attack artists and face skills are quite often handy. Once you have the stats online let me check them over - the party is just going through introductions and will probably learn about their assignment over the weekend.
