The pathfinder rummage through the second floor floor, only to find a chilly draft from a room with an open window. The frozen courtyard shows four figures trying to make their way out over the slippery floor. One of them looks amazingly like the Hjort lookalike from the bar brawl, and he's accompanied by a half-elf in flowing robes, and a human carrying a quarterstaff, and a pale woman.

Can't access the map - will try and get the VPN working later. You can remove the two blue bars on the second floor, the rooms on the west look out over 4d on the first floor and are ten feet up. The woman is directly southwest of the '4d' marking, the man in the flowing robe northwest of it, the half-elf with the quarterstaff is northeast of the '4d', and Hjort is directly north of him. I'd assume at least some of you would be in the room on the northwest side, looking out over the courtyard.

Sothy wanted to follow tengu, but his foot slide to the side and his jump was clumsy.

Using his opponents delay, he hopped back.

Current AC23, because of shield extract and mutagen.
In case someone rolls a crit threat against me, I use my Amateur Swashbuckler deed: Parry and Riposte with my bite attack: +7 (1d8+9). I have Combat Reflexes if someone provokes.

Chukka glides down, stabbing the woman from above with his sharp blade. The woman collapses in a puddle of blood. Mogall opens the windows in the next room, causing a chilling breeze to flow in. Sothy kisses the floor - it's cold.

The courtyard is completely frozen over (The outside is NOT difficult terrain, but it is slippery - if you're on the floor and want to take more than a single move (as in: moving around) action, you'll have to roll an acrobatics check)

Conc: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

The man in front of Sothy casts a spell, and suddenly the chilling surroundings turn into an inferno, as flames sprout from his hands.

Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 DC 15 RFX for half

Hjort flies into a rage over the fall of Runa, and steps up to attack Sothy, but misses.

Rage-Axe, Sothy: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

The silent follower steps up as well, and start attacking Sothy with a flurry of blows, which are easily dodged.

Sorry, I've just discovered that I cannot make the intent to parry a crit roll.

The monstrous Sothy claws and bites at Hjort. The first claws rips across his chest, and weakens him, enough for Hjort bite at the neck artery of the man. Blood rapidly flows out at the Ulfen collapses.

Do you want to change that parry to any attack against you, now that Hjort i down?

Chukka opposes the man in the flowing robes, but he proves too evasive for any of Chukka's attacks to land.

Scarlet moves down with ease, but still has to warm up a bit - she misses her attack.

Mogall fires a magic missile at the spell caster, who grimaces in pain.

Sothy decided to show those guys his primal fury. He couldn't rage as Hjort, but his mutagen gave him enough strength and anger.

He wasn't thinking, who killing those people would help them find lost Pathfinder contact, but this thought appeared in his mind. But it was too late, his body already was on the ground.

Sothy is a monster. With a single claw he rips out the lungs of the monk, steps up and bites the throat of the spellcaster. His maw dripping with blood, the last of the Ulfen party lies slain.

While the spellcaster and the monk are very dead, Runa and Hjort are still alive, though bleeding out fast.

Although Scarlet couldn't care less, Sothy still saves Runa from a bloody death. Hjort regains consciousness shortly before Runa does.

The woman has some papers on her, that show her in quite an incriminating light. The paper mention a Shadow Lodge agent named Caggrigar, and his man in Irrisen, a shadowy figure called Vermund. The papers further detail a plot to tarnish the Pathfinder Society’s reputation in the Lands of the Linnorm Kings: she herself was part of a group that sacked Hjorth's village, framing the Society by placing wayfinders on the slain bodies.

She looks to be ready to speak... But I assume you have gagged her by now

The adventurers' stay in Trollheim was rather short. Only two days spent in the city looking for the whereabouts of pathfinder historian Rognvald Skagni, before they discovered clues leading them to Irrisen, hoping to find the missing pathfinder there.

A mixed caravan of hunters and merchants was travelling to Whitethrone - crossing the border with Irrisen would otherwise have been neigh impossible. During the voyage, the merchants warned the adventurers that Whitethrone has been up in arms against Pathfinders recently, and they would likely need to sneak into the city. Things were going well until terrifying ice trolls and soldiers of Whitethrone’s Iron Guard who, it seems, were not interested in speaking to a diplomatic mission, ambushed the caravan. The party barely escaped with their lives, though most of their caravan did not.

All these events have taken place off-screen, you may still (retro-actively) make purchases in Trollheim

A biting wind blows from the north and snow blows in blinding drifts amid numbing fog. The bone-white walls of Whitethrone, capital of Irrisen and home of Baba Yaga’s white witch daughters, rises into the frigid northern night. Somewhere within is the Shadow Lodge headquarters hinted at in Trollheim where the poor historian Rognvald Skagni is being held. Reaching this point was a difficult challenge, but gaining entry into the city itself presents the greatest obstacle yet. And that's not counting the big heavy chest the party is still lugging around.

The city is surrounded by walls, and has a harbor that give access to a lake full of moving, churning ice. There's plenty of merchant traffic through the gates of the city.

Chuck aknows a bit about the layout of the city. Taking the harbor route will be hard, with the churning ice, and the city walls are high and steep.

There are various folk entering the city during the day, mostly merchants, which are subjected to some form of inspection depending on how grumpy that day's guard is feeling. Still, bearing a disguise - and a travelling circus act may not be entirely unconvincing - might give you a better shot at entering than just presenting yourselves as pathfinders. It would also explain the heavy chest.

Expect diplomacy and bluff rolls, but let me know how you want to go about
