Pending Action:
Agraic will see the situation and not hesitate, though hopefully someone else in the party will be able to hit the fetchling first.

Charge: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 241d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

If he can't get to the fetchling, then he'll try to get as close as possible to support any other party members. If there's another target in there that he can reach (either via charging or normal movement) then he'll hit that target.

Alternatively: Longsword Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 91d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

If other hazards become evident (such as a pit trap, Web spell, etc) he won't go into the dangerous area. He does have *some* brains, after all.

The fetchling is half onto a square, the primary spoiler action above is predicated on five squares distance versus four. Stating the action in spoiler to give idea, in case I'm at work when my turn in the rotation comes up. Please move me appropriately in such a circumstance. Thank you in advance.

Meredith uses her vine to quickly snatch the knife.

Tanglevine lets me do a disarm, trip or steal attempt. As it the knife is unattended, I think I can do this although it's not explicitly stated.

If she can snatch the knife:

Meredith drops her light mace so she can grab the knife. The vine snaps off her wrist as she clutches the knife.

"How many bodies have you carved into...never again."

If she can't snatch the knife:

Meredith tries to trip the foe using her vine.
Trip vs CMD: 1d20 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 3 = 8 Uhh...he can't use his Dex bonus and takes a -2 to AC? Do those count?
Even in his stunned state, he probably maintains his footing.

Either way, Meredith moves up to one of the Blakros sisters. "Snap out of it!"

You're having some rough rolls, Meredith, but honestly picking up what appears to be his ritual dagger will probably be very helpful. Good move! And stunning him before he can go is so clutch by Mia.

Here is my move contingent on no one blocking my path. If someone else goes before me and blocks my path, I will move somewhere where I can strike the guy and not have an ally in my way granting him soft cover. In that case, just take away my flanking bonus. And if Azura goes first and uses IC, please add it.

As the would-be killer of innocents reels from Mia's attack, Zuriel backs up to bring the reach of his weapon to bear, slashing at the man's midsection.

Azura helps Meredith get the man to safety and then proceeds to the last room. She moves through the door with bow at the ready, following behind Zuriel and begins to sing to inspire her companions.

Yep, getting my Bardic Performance going for +1 to hit and +1 to damage for everyone behind me in initiative.

Agaric charges in and cuts at the man, as Zuriel slashes at the dark man from afar, causing a large bleeding wound. Meredith snatches away the blade on the floor. Mia then moves in closely with two well-aimed strikes.

When the dust settles, the fetchling lies bleeding on the floor.

The girls are still in trance, but have not been touched by the blade of the fetchling. The 10-foot- tall black stone pyramid exudes an eerie black essence from its apex, which seeps into the air and slowly dims the illumination of the room.

Surrounding the relic’s apex are a dozen red stones set into the rock face.

DC 20 K(arcana):

Removing the stones should sabotage the planar overlay effect.

You can use disable device to remove a stone (DC 15), or you can just smash the things

Agraic will keep an eye on the fetchling, making sure he's not faking it, but will glance up when Meredith makes that comment...

Is there a rules mechanic for 'slapping the sense' back into a person without outright killing them or knocking them out? ie, the 'Gibbs slap'?

Mia looks down at the fallen Fetchling before looking over to the sisters. They seem still in a trance as she looks around for anything that may disrupt this ritual.

She looks at the pyramid and looks over it curiously.
"Shall we try to smash this? I could try to, but I do not know what magic holds them. It may kill them." she states, being sure to keep her hands off the pyramid unless instructed to do something to it.

No matter hard hard Agraic tries, he is not able to break the sisters from their trance. It looks like the dark magical device holds sway over them.

To Meredith, the knife looks ceremonial in nature, and it's the black ink-like substance that's the danger here.

Azura is pretty certain that it's the device in the middle of the room that is causing the overlap of Material and Shadow plane, and that the device is also to blame for the trance of the Blakros twins.

Like I said, disable device to pry the stones out in one piece. Attack rolls to smash them. There's no threat, so roll as many as you like

Immediately, the shadowy overlay fades from view, the corpse of the fetchling disappears, and the two Blakros girls... fortunately remain. They open their eyes, confused.

Congratulations, you've defeated the evil fetchling slavers, and destroyed the device that was used to overlay shadow and material plane. You've also managed to break a centuries-old contract that was the bane of the Blakros family - not a bad thing to have on your CV.

When the girls don't die when the gem is removed Agraic lets out a brief sigh of relief. He hadn't even realized he was holding his breath and fearing for the worst... and the building reverting to normal put him a bit more at ease.

"Thank goodness that's over, and... everyone made it." He gives the entire party a nod. "Glad you all were here."

She followed behind the party as they exited the museum, last to leave it's malignant grasp. She was pleased they had succeeded in helping as many as they had, but Meredith's words rang true. So many taken... so many beyond our reach to help. She turned back to face the dark stone building and her long hair was blown back from her face by a phantom gust of wind. She narrowed steel-blue eyes mistrustfully and glared at the structure's face as if she stared into the maw of a dark and malevolent beast. "I am watching you." She said in a warning tone as she turned to go, following her new friends.
