Akh turns mildly toward the flamethrower wielding ambushers and says "I'm guessing you're here to remodel the building? I was thinking it's a bit gaudy." Then a dart pings off Del's armor and he adds "Nevermind, you're here to kill or capture us on behalf of one of our many enemies. You're a little late. If I was you I would have ambushed us while we were all separate."

Akh has no idea who these people are, but he reasons that sending a message will work regardless. The message being beating all these assassins up. He rushes for the ringleader and lashes out with his energy-wreathed claw. (spending 1 EP for entropic rip on this attack. if it hits, foe also takes 9 points of bleed)

You went to reunite with your crew after a month in a ysoki suit?! I suppose the team has probably only seen Guess? in his original form on their ship.

While Guess? blows a hole in a very fancy chandelier, Jaraduk crashes his doshko into the closest ambusher. Some of the electricity crackles across the humanoid's armor, absorbed. Lightning from Melissa's newly evolved pets crackles across the room, lighting up the toxic smoke and blasting the enemies. Akh moves decisively, cutting a gash across the android's thigh which begins to bleed profusely. She launches into the air, jetpack screaming and triggering an AoO. From her new vantage point she fires down, a dart pinging harmlessly off Akh's armor. "Kill and Capture, conveniently enough. It's always nice to do both." Guess? is pretty much used to always being in disguise except for, I suppose, bedtime or downtime aboard the ship with the crew. When out in public, he'd feel uncomfortable without a disguise.

He almost doesn't notice the grenade going off, his armor buffering and absorbing what little cold he doesn't instinctively dodge. Fully resisted. He follows by laying into the blue merc with his claws, hoping to bring him down before he can fire off another wave of flame.

"Aaaah! Who are these people?" Del shrieks as she attempts to dodge flamrethrowers and grenades.

Finally getting her bearings, Del rolls behind the couch, coming up in a crouch as she unleashes a wave of force at two of her attackers. Casting force blast, which hits both pink and green.
Force Damage vs. Pink and Green: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3 DC 17 Reflex save for half damage. (Edit: Ugh, such bad rolls!)
Plus Bull Rush against both targets: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22 Yeah, not gonna work, so assuming same positioning for her second action.

Seeing both mercenaries still standing, Del finishes recovering from shock and decides it's time to get serious! ...Or, more serious than normal! With a wave of her hand, she pulls a burst of boiling brightly coloured isomalt into existence, knocking green over and causing some serious pain. The isomalt remains, still bubbling and burning a chair, the green assassin, and the unfortunate bear rug as it pools all over the floor. With a grunt of further exertion, she unleashes another wave of force, slamming it into the pink and green assassins.

Del's using Overload Reality to cast a spell and use infinite worlds at the same time as a full action. For infinite worlds, she's choosing to use a 3rd level slot and choose two lower level effects, which is 2nd level environmental damage and 2nd level instantaneous destabilizing event. The infinite worlds only targets green and its area is noted on the map (it'll last a few rounds). Her spell is force blast, which will hit both green and pink again.

Infinite Worlds Effects:
Boiling Isomalt (fire damage) vs. Green: 3d4 ⇒ (4, 1, 3) = 8 DC 17 Fortitude save for half damage.
Also, green must attempt a DC 17 reflex save. On a failure, they're knocked prone. If they get a natural 1 on the dice, I can also move them up to 15 feet in a direction of my choice: I'd choose to move them 5 feet to the west.

Force Blast Effects:
Force Damage vs Pink and Green: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12 DC 17 Reflex save for half damage

Guess? softens up the mercenary, throwing him off with the complement. Melissa, barely, manages to take advantage of that space and hits him with a electrical blast. During that moment, Guess? spies a few bottles of high end liquor nearby. Akh, no time for looting, takes down the attacker with a few well placed slashes.

While that wasn't the easiest culture check, it is so funny that the whole group missed it. More importantly... playing a turn as a WitchWarper might be more complicated than GMing... The sitting area bursts into a wreath of destruction as Del focuses on the closest attackers. Some of the fiery tumult washes off their specialized armor, but the blast of Del's force sends both attackers stumbling backwards.

Jaraduk and the mercenary he's squaring off with reposition, spinning around each other and drawing new weapons. As the man places a hand back on his flamethower he sways in air. "You have quite the dossier for a nobody..." On the other side of the room, the android boss stares down Akh. "Oh, come on Mr. Xi. Our armor may have updated, but our playbook hasn't." She pops two needles into her rifle and fires two at Akh. The first clangs off his armor as usual but the second sinks into a seam in his armor. Instantly alarm bells start ringing inside Akh's suit. BLUE WHINNIS DETECTED. CALL 1800-222-1222 IMMEDIATELY. Pass a DC 19 Fortitude save!

Comfortable with being charred, the remaining mercenary takes a step forward to line up the two least armored members of the group. Though not really, Del is looking pretty tough!! The flames crackle over Melissa, sending the smell of burnt fur into the air.

After being invisible and loud in her square, she will be quiet and slip over under the table.

Due to a witchwarping of the area... the assassin thought he was chasing after the unarmored Melissa... When he blinked, the ysoki disappeared and a very well armored android stood in her place! Triggering AoO from Akh, missing with his knife.

Fort vs. whinnying blue stuff: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22

As an android, Akh is only dimly aware of the risks of poisons, largely because they so rarely affect him. His only memory of being poisoned is that one time with the six week old expired strawberry custard. Certainly this blue whinnis isn't nearly as toxic.

The needle on the other hand really hurt (+2 EP). He swipes opportunistically at the knife-toting merc before calling up to the ringleader "Sorry, drawing a blank. I don't think I know any arson enthusiasts. Could you please spell it out while we take down your allies."

Focusing on the green assassin, Del throws her arms forward, sending a burst of spicy hot sauce flying at their face.

Everyone but one; the mercenary behind Akh drops his (useless) knife and runs towards the door! "Nope nope nope nope nope." Without hesitation, both remaining mercenaries move in. One steps up to Del, the other floats down to ground level. They share a glance then open fire. The area in the middle of the room is bathed in heat. Del dodges the blast, which scorches over her back. Guess? (and his overly expensive bottles of whiskey) get crisped. But the fleeing mercenary is caught in the crossfire and collapses at the penthouse's door.

On each you find a set of golemforged plating III (jetpack, mk 1 electrostatic field), a wounding wrack devastation blade, salamander-class flamethrower, a cryo grenade II (2) on most of the bodies, and each has a credstick with 625 credits.

After gathering your senses, you have time to focus on what that annoying blinking light in the corner of your HUD was (besides Del, who has a second icon - a flashing green skull.) a missed call counter! It seems Tarika has called you several times since her original text message arrived a little too late.

Akh swoops out the window and dives down all twelve floors to retrieve the remains of the body before it can attract more attention than it already has. At the bottom he comments to any onlookers "Very convincing, yes? Filming a movie. Don't worry about it." He's not even slightly convincing, but it gives anyone who'd like to pretend they didn't just see someone fall to their death an out.

He carries the body back up to the hotel room to rejoin the others "Well, maybe the leader has some special orders stuffed in their pocket. Those might be laced with blue whinnis as well. Probably are." he glances at Del "Maybe you shouldn't touch them."

As the final baddie falls and Akh leaps out the window, Del falls unconscious. Whoops! I misread the Poison track. The first failure brought you to the Weakened state. The second one made you unconscious. Luckily for you, the assassin chose a poison that did not end in Death. Melissa and Guess? play doctor, significantly boosting Del's immune system after Melissa reminds Guess? that the orange tip goes down and not against his thumb. Unfortunately... Del stays unconscious. Bad news, this next bit just got a lot more complicated and a lot less fun for Del. Good news, this next section just got a lot more interesting. It seems she is going to need some Long Term Care in order to get better. It's been a long time since I read up deeply on Poisons. I'm not seeing a way to force trigger another Cure check now that she's at the end state. I think you need either a Remove Affliction spell, White Nanopen, a full day of bedrest or two days of normal rest (with a Medicine check to get her back to Healthy in one iteration rather than two).

You get Tarika on the comm, who breathlessly explains The Golden League! I just escaped a car chase, they boxed us in on our way to meet you! Shan and Strek led them off while I dived out a side door, I think I've lost them." She pauses a moment, your words sinking in. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN ASSASSINS?" She has more to tell the crew. “I'm thinking... Sinjin and Reisora, they couldn’t beat ya on their own, so they’ve joined forces! If Sinjin could have done it on his own, surely he would have done it by now! And maybe Eline was feeling all conflicted after you were nice to her? I dunno... I tried to warn ya as soon as I could, but it sounds like I was far too late and the shootin’ had already started. We gotta get to the ship and figure out our next move, stay one step ahead of Eline and that drow sonofa… ” Even as Tarika speaks, a horrifying sight comes into view. At the shipyards far below, through the broken window, the kalistocrat treasure barge Second Chance, flanked by two other starships, rockets out of a dock on Absalom’s Arms, headed for space. The ship doesn’t respond to any communications and is too far away to reach. Within seconds, it’s gone from sight.

Can a large creature fit into a null space chamber? If yes, Guess? can stuff Del into the chamber, then jetpack fly out the open window to a safe spot before Del runs out of air.

"I mean, I liked the ship. But hey, we can just buy a new one since our treasure had been moved to a secure, immovable location over this past month, amirite?

Guess? looks up and says, "Looks like no easy shortcut to getting Del outta here. But really, should be no problem at all!

Once we're out of this location, to get Del back up, sounds like we either have her rest a couple days or get remove affliction cast as a service, which costs about 1000 credits (before Guess? negotiations).

Akh is calm as usual throughout the chaos, and Tarika's panicked chatter or the Second Chance disappearing into the sunset don't really change that. Instead, he peers at the note he pulled off the head goon and ponders out loud "What if its Sinjin and Rovo instead? You know, the Wintermourn was causing trouble for us so often that maybe they were in Sinjin's pocket the whole time and we didn't realize it. Or maybe it's Sinjin and Really everyone that hates us. That would be fitting."

He looks over and realizes Del's still snoozing "Oh, that's a problem. I don't think you're going to be able to stuff her in your bag Guess, no matter how big it is on the inside. Yes, it's time to carry our sick friend to the nearest doctor to get treatment for her critical case of the snoozes." He picks up the lighter end. For all his size, he's not particularly strong. He looks around for said luggage cart.

the back of Jaraduk's gym. You pass through the backdoors, and settle onto some broken equipment. Going out in pairs - for supplies, aid, and information - only to find some bad news. Those who head out find their bank accounts frozen. No business will buy from or sell to them, even for cash. Once-reliable merchants refuse to make eye contact and hurriedly shoo you away; attempts to interact with automated kiosks garner only flashing, red DENIED messages. Guess?, Jaraduk, and Akh's black market contacts receive similarly cold shoulders, as underworld dealers and fences pretend not to know them and flee when confronted.

You call Tarika, who reveals that she suffers all the same problems. She hesitantly explains "I'm so sorry... it seems you have been burned by the Kalistocracy and the Golden League. One in the public sphere and one in the private. Every business in the Pact Worlds and Near Space, legal or not, has your names, appearances, genetic information, and account numbers, along with strict orders not to engage with you under the threat of being sanctioned (or worse, as the Golden League could violently punish anyone trying to help the crew)." She forward along a screenshot of the order that a close contact of hers shared. It seems that no matter your wealth, your credits are useless if nobody will sell items to you. The normally calm Tarika experiences a brief but serious episode of panic, as she has no idea how to get out of this situation. She can continue, but I'll pause here for thoughts and ideas.

Guess? in disguise with UPBs should be able to make purchases. If every purchase over 1,000 credits takes genetic info or something we can mutate his genes now and cure it laster... OR just pick pocket a sample from someone and grow some extra.

If its worse than that, we could convince someone to make a straw purchase. There's got to be a drunk ysoki somewhere that needs 100 UPBs for a new liver. Why can't I buy this myself? Well... uhm.. you need to be at least 11 to meddle in Gods domain ?

Akh is characteristically unconvinced by Guess's bravado. "If they could do this all along, I wonder why they waited so long. And why does Sinjin even hate us that much? All we did was not die to his trap." He floats around in the gym, weaving between the equipment. "Giving the Last Chance back certainly doesn't seem to have done anything helpful either. We should have sent the Last Chance back to her with exploding farm animals, like I suggested..."

Its unfortunate, but Akh's theme, which really only works for a chaotic neutral AP, still isn't useful for this particular situation.

"I think the Skittermander ranch would be a good idea. We can live out the rest of our presumably short lives farming. That would be nice. We could get those screaming tomatoes going." He ponders this for a moment and then adds "I suppose the problem is getting there if we can't buy tickets and everyone is out to get us."

"Well, I could also fold myself up and wait out a few hundred years for this to blow over. That wouldn't help all of you, but I could tell people in the future about you. You could be famous."
