Thessaly lets out a fine stream of curses in Ulfen-- it's a good language for cursing in-- as darkness closes over them like a blanket.

She stands, frozen and unknowing where the threat is, until she hears Maulaxe's guide to its position.

"DUCK, I'M TRYING TO SWING OVER EVERYONE'S HEADS!" she bellows as she awkwardly tries to sweep glaive through the air at above-head-level, over the square where she last saw Kayde standing.

not sure if Kayde's current position shows his movement, or if I need to move to reach-hit the original square that Maulaxe has indicated. Assume that I do move if so, please!

Thessaly tries to swing at the creature. She chooses the right square but misses the creature.

At this point, I went ahead and put the creature on the main map. Maulaxe and Kayde will be shouting enough to let you know what square it is in. (It is currently 5 ft. in the air) Remember, if you can't see in darkness, you can't target it with targeted spells and attack rolls still have a 50% miss chance, but area spells and attacking with that miss chance still works.

Just to recap the room you're in.
Old carvings cover the walls of this square chamber, thick with dust and cobwebs. Three sets of stone double doors stand in the three facing walls. Heavy bronze seals emblazoned with the symbol of Pharasma secure the doors against whatever lies beyond.

All the stone doors don't seem to have a lock, but are sealed by some kind of mystic energy.

On inspecting the carvings (Remember, if you don't have a rank in a knowledge skill, you can't make above a 10 on it):

Knowledge (History) DC 15:
The carvings reference the seven runelords of ancient Thassilon.

Perception DC 15:

They are carved into the stone themselves. All of them look very old, but they are well crafted.

The passage that Maulaxe read is more recent that the other carvings, although it is still quite old (possibly a few years). It is also etched into the stone, but looks like it wasn't done with the same kind of craftsmanship as the other carvings. That carving is on the northern wall.

She sets her glaive to one side and digs out her set of well-made tools. "Gimme a sec with this door."

Disable Device: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

Thessaly disrupts the magical seal with ease. The seal on the east doors is now permanently disabled.

A large statue stands in the corner of this L-shaped room, depicting a tall feather emblazoned with a large open eye. Though apparently carved from stone, the statue gleams with a golden-green iridescence. A pair of stone doors stands in the east wall in the short leg of the L.

There is an inscription on the floor:
Though veiled behind the plumage of the soul, the Eye still sees, unblinking, through all the ages, from the beginning to the end of time. When the Three are One, and the spirit becomes flesh, the Seal may be opened and the Sleepers awakened. And the glorious apocalypse shall consume us all.

Knowledge (Religion) DC 20:
The statue represents the Peacock Spirit, a god of mind, body, and soul, whose worship ended with the Thassilonian Empire’s fall.

The description of "doors" on the far wall is not entirely accurate here. Upon further examination, it looks like the "doors" are really just a depression in the wall, and the wall is a flat stone surface with a small depression to place a small object in the middle.

You feel a disable device check wouldn't be able to bypass this, and neither would the Chime of Opening. They aren't actually doors right now.

"I dunno maybe place the magic feather in the depression might work?" says Lyteonira. "Or maybe it's time for a little Cayden style inspiration" at which point she takes out her wine skin and takes a swig of wine

"May I see it?", Malakiah asks as points to the feather.

Supposing that will have no opposition, he inspects the feather.

"Well, with the right words, this token creates a small bird that can be used to deliver a small written message unerringly to a designated target. Interesting", he gives it back to Kayde.

"Let's continue through the corridor?"

The other side of the room has a doorway that has the stone wall with a depression in the middle of it, mentioned above. It really looks like that wall should have been where doors were placed, but it's very clearly a stone wall.

With her short attention span, Amelie is quickly getting bored and begins fiddling with the string on her bow, "How much longer here? There were more doors in that last room ya know."
