Slipping her rapier from its scabbard and shaking her head, Shilyn gets ready to help the dwarves.
Hoping to startle the man at the table long enough to let Gryne get into range, she addresses the man still unaware of their presence. "You know, those goblins really made a mess of your lab," she says loud enough for him to hear, "You should think of getting new help."

@Shi: Are you saying this before or after the dwarves close in? Because at least Amnur is close enough he can start the surprise round and leave the target flat footed. Gryne would have to make a Stealth roll to get inside enough to do so, but that'll probably fail if you give the guy a warning first. If you wish to engage him and diplomacize first, though, we an do that :)

His skin is an angry red from the explosion, or it could just be the blood boiling inside the now furious dwarf. "Enough of your tricks!" he howls as he swings, hoping to finish the man.

@Amnur: No, Krenar doesn't get an AoO from you or visa versa (your initiative being last and all), but I did forget to mention that kind of movement will provoke from the metal snake! Also... I gotta wait to see what others do before announcing the success of your attack roll :)

Amnur pats Gryne happily on the shoulder as the Alchemist falls, "Nice hit!" he compliments, then hefts his axe and strolls upward and around to stand north of the metal snake, moving unhurriedly and leaving himself open to for the snake to strike during the transition. Getting into position with the snake flanked between him and Varian he regards the snake, "In a moment we'll have you on all sides, you much for giving up?" he questions the dented metal creature.

After talking to the non-intelligent snake, Amnur winds up and splits the thing right in half with a mighty stroke of his axe! Gears and acid spittle out of the thoroughly destroyed automaton!
Combat will be over as Amnur dealt enough damage to nearly kill the thing twice over :P
The room is now quiet, other than the number of alchemical tubes still bubbling and slowly refilling the room with green gas.

Shilyn gives the metal serpent a kick as she moves to retrieve her bow. "Stupid metal slithering... ruined my boot. At least it's still wearable.. for now," she mutters.
Once she retrieves her bow, she walks over to the alchemist and pokes him with the tip of her rapier. "Um, this one's still breathing..barely," she says as she squats down and begins searching him for anything useful.. or deadly.

Amnur sighs heavily at the remains of the metal snake, "They never want to give up." he laments. Moving to the alchemist the dwarf checks the man for signs of life, and tries to see if he can be stabilized without bringing him back to consciousness. He then joins Shi in removing all items from his person he can find, looking for anything useful.

After all looting in here is done.
Satisfied they've rooted around enough, Amnur points northward, "How's that way sound to everyone? Shi, would you do the honors?" Removing the last traces of dead construct from his axe, Amnur stands at Shi's shoulder when she moves -a noisy, thick-bodied, and armored presence.

@Shilyn: As you look over the man, he's covered in a variety of vials... but your instincts tell you that only the larger ones are of use. Among them are:
a dark blue vial (potion of cure moderate wounds)
2 vials of acid
2 vials of alchemist's fire
a smokestick

a strange hourglass-like contraption that has the same dark blue liquid as the aforementioned vial
a green tipped wand (wand of acid arrow, 12 charges remaining)

Mylvwara spellcraft @ hourglass thing: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26
Mylvwara notes that the hourglass device is called an 'arcanolembic', a variation of an alchemist's tool that enhances potions and distillery. Any potion poured inside an arcanolembic and then drunk is treated as if its caster level was 2 higher. The potion inside of the arcanolembic right now is a potion of cure moderate wounds (which would then heal 2d8+5 HP instead of 2d8+3!).
@Amnur: Not good enough this round, unless someone aids you!

Fun note, Shilyn, you can use the wand now since acid arrow is a sorcerer spell! Even better, doesn't trigger arcane spell failure from your armor! Read up on the spell if you want a potentially higher damaging ranged option (that you can sneak attack with 30' if you surprise something later since it is a ranged touch attack) :)
