Looks like everyone failed the reflex. With the channeling, you each have two points of non lethal damage. Llathander you can remove those with the wand if you like, but if you want to save the charge, you can do so. Let me know which
Apart from the chalk circle there is nothing of particular notice in the room, and the other doorways don't appear to be trapped.
Rayna Mensbane
|
Rayna will deal with the nonlethal damage for now, next time she gets healing it'll go away but it seems like a waste of a spell at the moment... hopefully that doesn't come back to bite us in the butt LOL

The triangle with dots is the do-not-enter symbol.
The group heads north. The corridor twists and turns for another five minutes or so, and then enters another room.
The southern entrance of this chamber might once have housed
a sliding door, but it’s now just an empty archway. Three small
chests sit before a small wooden table in the center of the
room. All three chests are open; one contains seashells, the
second holds bricks, and the third contains shards of flint. Some
of these items are scattered haphazardly on the floor around
the chests. A brass merchant’s scale stands on the table. One of
the scale’s arms supports a conch shell and the other is empty,
though the scale is perfectly balanced. A harlequin’s mask
hangs on the north wall. An intact door exits to the west. A
lock has been bolted over the opening panel next to the door,
but the lock hangs open
As you enter the room, the mask speaks
"The shell holds the sea and yet is naught but air! Both key and blade are yours!"
Chief Avarus
|
Avarus casts Detect Magic and studies the effects to get a clear reading for the area.
GM Aerondor
|
Rayna can't tell anything more about the mask
If someone has detect magic, that together with knowledge(arcana) may tell more
There is little more to tell about the scale and the chests. It appears someone has beaten you here.
GM Aerondor
|
Velinov can't tell what the magic on the mask is, but presumably it was something to make it talk.
Chief Avarus
|
Avarus picks up a equal size of brick and flint. He walks to the scales and places them on the scale. (one piece on each side to try to balance the scales.)
" Ah these scales must be the key to completion of our next task."
Chief Avarus
|
"If that is the case what was the key and where is the blade."
Avarus looks about a second time for hints of activity beyond this room or obvious tracks into other areas.

Kazamir Strauss
|
"Huh, put that shell back." Kazamir pulls his dagger out of its sheath and places it on the other side of the scale from the conk shell.
"The dagger is mine, let's see if this turns it into a key that's mine, too."
Chief Avarus
|
"What do you want of the shell Kazamir?"
Avarus stares at him before laughing and putting the shell back. " Fine, I shall return it to amuse your sense of curiosity but it would make a great trinket for story time in my village."
GM Aerondor

After winding for about five minutes the corridor turns a corner northwards...
This L-shaped corridor makes a right angle from the east to
north. Just around the bend a dead half-orc sprawls on the
ground. Above the corpse, a wooden sledgehammer dangles
from a rope beneath an open ceiling panel. Though the head of
the mallet is padded, the trap was apparently still lethal to the
unfortunate half-orc. A few feet up the corridor another chalk
“X” is scratched on the floor
Several longsword cuts, short sword cuts, and seveal small puncture wounds with what appears to be burning around the edges. Very odd.
Six sets of tracks head down the corridor. Only one returns, and those ones end at the body.
Chief Avarus
|
Avarus seeing the dead orc put his hand up to halt the others,
"Hold up. Look ahead; this place may be filled with traps."
Avarus begins to study the area and the dead half orc both for items of interest and insight into what occured.

The body has lime green dye on the face.
On the body is a masterwork adamantine dagger, masterwork studded leather, daggers (2), quarterstaff, sap, and two sets of manacles.
Chief Avarus
|
"I agree Kazamir, the game has changed and we must as well."
Avarus picks up the 2 sets of manacles and tells the others,
"There are some well made goods on the body here if anyone needs them. "
GM Aerondor

I assume you are heading onwards from here?
In less than a minute the corridor ends in a room.
The dungeon’s red hue is dramatically accented here with a
fresh coating of blood. Three corpses lie scattered around the
room, all hacked apart with great force. The arterial spray from
the last moments of their lives spatters the walls and ceiling
and pools on the floor. A dim crimson glow spills from a wide
archway to the north, casting a garish light upon the faces of
the dead. An open chest sits against the eastern wall, with
broken links of chain scattered on the floor around it.
Standing in the middle of the room with its gears and legs gummed up in what looks to be the remains of a tanglefoot bag, stands a medium-sized metal monstrosity carrying a longsword and a crossbow built into it's shoulder. It appears to be some sort of construct. The good news is, it appears to have taken some damage already. The bad news is, it gestures aggressively towards the party and tries to break out of the tar binding it to the floor!

Sorry GM Aerondor, I lost track of the monster image as I was playing around with the best way to represent the silent image I plan on casting. Mind adding it back? Kaz, I noticed you haven't moved yet either on the map for your disarm.
Velinov casts silent image, bringing forth his arms together, hands open to spray out a cloud of dense white fog that quickly sinks and billows out into the room.
Filling 4 squares with a heavy fog like that from a fog machine, starting at 8' high and then sinking down to 3' high. I'm trying to give myself some concealment while hiding the sword that Kaz knocked loose.
Rayna Mensbane
|
Rayna begins to bloodrage, then moves forward outside of the fog and attacks the creature in the square where the creature just was.
Attack roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13
miss chance, 1=hit,2=miss: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Rayna swings her falchion, but unfortunately the fog obscures her attack and she misses.
GM Aerondor
|
Even obscuring mist only gives 20% miss chance for folk next door to it. I'm happy with silent image providing some concealment, but as a general purpose spell it should be no more (and probably) effective that the more specific Obscuring mist when used in a similar manner.
miss: 1d100 ⇒ 47
Rayna scores a good blow on the construct, but it's thick armour absorbs much of the blow. In return it strikes out with its fiststargets: 2d2 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4 at Kaz.
attack1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
attack2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
One of the iron fists lands heavily doing 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 damage.
miss: 1d100 ⇒ 16
That is to say, it would have if the mist wasn't quite so heavy.
It is not especially good with its fists (Kaz and Rayna can each make an AOO against it)
Two darts fly out into the battle at targets: 2d2 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3
Kaz: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Rayna: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Both miss. A mechanical humm can be heard - but the mist obscures what is happening.

Chief Avarus

Avarus looks to bring the fight to him.
Avarus points his greatsword and challenges the construct. "Mechanical Beast I challenge you!"
swift action : Whenever an order of the dragon cavalier issues a challenge, his allies receive a +1 circumstance bonus on melee attack rolls against the target of his challenge whenever he is threatening the target.
Avarus disadvantage -2 AC (reduced to -1 Ac due to expert dueling trait) effective AC 18 but + 2 damage
Avarus then moves forward 15' into the short fog to flank the creature.
Greatsword attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 2 = 16
Damage: 2d6 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (3, 2) + 4 + 2 = 11

It appears the fog obscures the beast just enough for his great sword to clearly miss.

Llathander steps forwards, but is unable to land a solid blow.
Rayna lands a solid blow on the creature. Even its tough armour has a hard time resisting the force. Fort-DC15: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19. Sparks of electricity run across the front of the construct, it pauses for a moment, and then resumes aggressive action.
They are especially vulnerable to critical hits

I guess I wasn't aiming for the concealment in those squares; just the 8' high one to hide my AC 10 self. I just figure something at waist level was enough to stop it from picking up the sword and beating on us. Certainly nothing close to 50% concealment :)
Velinov will dismiss the illusion since the mechanical beast is surrounded.

Kaz's attacks are without effect.
With the mist cleared away, the Construct leans down to retrieve the sword that Kaz knocked out of it's hand. It then hits the warrior with it, hard. attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Finally breaking the entanglement, it steps away from where it was being flanked.
