Silver Crusade

Rumors of a lost shrine in the Segang Jungle draw the Pathfinder Society’s attention, but the prohibitive cost of sending a team into the wilds of Jalmeray threatens to shut down the expedition before it even begins. Fortunately, a wealthy patron has offered to fund the PCs travel expenses in return for their help in his decades-old quest. Can the Pathfinders balance this new obligation with their exploration of the archaeological site?

Content in “The Segang Expedition” also contributes directly to the ongoing storyline of the Sovereign Court faction.

Hey!

Just wondering what we have for a line up.

I got a Sorcerer or a Fighter.

The Sorcerer is odd and Lovecraftian.

The Fighter is a sociopath.

Fine to play either one.

What I play depends on when we start, honestly.

I'd like to play Olga, Warpriest 2, if she's available when we start, but if not, I want to play a Pally I haven't really finished yet but she'll be rolled up really soon.

Chris here. I am going to play Whisper, so named because his vocal cords took some damage when they tried to hang him in Cheliax. It's a long story. Anyway, He was recruited by Zarta for his unique ability to acquire objects that other people hadn't realized they misplaced yet. One of his favorite sayings for intimidation checks is a gravely, calm, Thieves guild number 3 glare with "There's no profit in it."

That is as far as I have gotten with the concept. I'll make him this weekend. :)

Sorry, I think I confused email chains...

Mari will have a War Priest or Pally (Melee Fighting Pally)... Those are good melee options. But... Who's the cleric?

Sorry I was just breaking it down to the traditional adventuring party.

Fighter, Mage, Cleric, Thief.

Was counting the War Priest as a Cleric, Sorcerer as mage, Rogue as thief.

Also just to restate what RD said about the characters being tied up in the PBP game and not useable at another event. Most of the PBP PFS adventures I have played in or run take 2-3 months. I found it helpful to make characters specifically for PBP so they do not need to be rushed around.

Also the one thing I REALLY REALLY enjoy for PBP is the amount of Role Play that can find its way into the game. At a Real Life Game people are expecting to be in and out within a certain time which means the game has to keep a quick pace. PBP is slowed down to a snail crawl, in a good way, it lets you have fun with dialog or other things that you may not do at the table because of time constraints.

I guess what I am getting at is give the character a backstory to play with because it is more than diving into a dungeon and clearing it out.

Also to those of you who are new to PBP there is a spoiler button under the area to type you reply labeled How to format your text. Play around with it here so you know how to use it.

quick guide:

no format is describing an action (I walk to the door and open it)
bold = in game conversation, what your character is actually saying
out of character = questions What is the door made of?
spoilers = lots of info (like this spoiler button), and when you cast a spell or use an ability put the description in a spoiler so the DM can access it
dice commands are well dice commands, I advise putting a breakdown of where all the bonuses or buffs come from if they are temporary and not standard to your character sheet.
ex. Attack Magic Morningstar Ghost Touch with Bless: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Lastly set up your character sheet like mine, or whisper's where you can access your skills, saves, ac, hp, ect... easy.

(Tarch nods to his greatsword) "I guess the bloodletting falls to me"
(Eyeing the warpriest with the warmest of grins if you ignore the fangs) "Just keep that holy stick in your pocket"

Sorry about the delay, everyone. Been sick. Once Mari decides on a character, we'll get started.

A green haired gnomes comes in, riding atop a velociraptor. Lucrezia and Plunder, reporting for duty, sir! Thank you for waiting for us! Plunder was sure you would want to leave without him. I just got back from a grand adventure! This Pathfinder gig is the best!

I need a wand of cure light and a cloak of resist (assuming my chronicle we just completed today indicates at least 450 gp for The Silent Tide.

Silver Crusade

Yes. Silent Tide is 453 GP for tier 1-2.

Recieved the chronicle sheet.
Will be leveling up Obed when I get in from work tonight.
Thank you everyone for the delayed start.

Does anyone know where to find the PFS chart that shows the maximum gold piece value item you can have because of your prestige score?

I like it.
There are some limitations to posting.
I enjoy the quick buttons for programming like ooc, dice, spoiler, etc....
Makes posting from the phone very easy.
Totally worth the $1.

My biggest complaint is you cannot access character sheets from it, which means looking online and posting sometimes.

Sorry folks! My job had never allowed me to post on Paizo (had it blocked for "shopping" category) but I had previously been able to post on my iPad using the WiFi. They cut that off now. I can't use the WiFi anymore.
I am changing jobs, so my last day at this one is 4/14, but then I will be away at Star Wars Celebration from 4/15 to 4/21, so my posting until then will be spotty, but I will *try* really hard to keep up.
