You come from a line of stargazers and explorers who delved deeply into the darkness beyond the stars. In touching the void, the void touched them, and your mind, spirit, and body yearn to span the gulf between worlds.

Black Motes (Sp): This ability works exactly like (and replaces) minute meteors, except it deals cold damage

Minute Meteors (Sp): 7 times daily: At 1st level, you can summon a rain of tiny meteorites as a standard action to fall in a 5-foot column, 30 feet high, with a range of 30 feet. The meteors inflict 1d4 points of (cold) damage + 1 per 2 sorcerer levels. A Reflex save negates this damage. The save DC is equal to 10 + 1/2 your sorcerer level + your Charisma modifier. You may use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

Voidwalker (Ex): At 3rd level, you gain low-light vision and resist cold and fire 5. At 9th level, you no longer need to breathe, as if wearing a necklace of adaptation.

Voidfield (Sp): At 9th level, you can create an area influenced by the black void. This ability acts as an ice storm, except the area is also subject to deeper darkness for 1 round per four sorcerer levels. You may use this ability once per day at 3rd level, and one additional time per day for every three additional levels. The bloodline power replaces aurora borealis.


Background:
Obed Curwen

Obed was troubled by dream visions his entire life. Orphaned as a child with no record of his birth mother, the rumor was she was a witch that lived a very extended life. His childhood was nightmarish he could see the shadows move with their own will and hear the mad flute playing that caused the seizures. The paranoia has always been overwhelming, a set of eyes watching him from behind the curtain of the void, he was horribly afraid of the dark. For years he fought the voices, people thought him mad. The orphanage would scold him horribly when he told them of the ghosts, these ghosts would bite at him and he would get in trouble again when asking for bandages. Then one day it all stopped, he was free, the horror ended. Years later Obed was troubled on the night of the Harvest Moon, the gibberous voices came calling from beyond the stars, putting him in a dreamlike trance. He was guided by his dream visions to ancient dust covered texts in the oldest of libraries. The books revealed to him that the voices and visions were of the ancient outer gods lost beyond the void, the pictures inside were an echo out of time of the entities he has always seen in the shadows of his youth. Following He made contact with the alien entity that twisted his already dark mind. Obed has made deals that gave him power and knowledge beyond anything he could of imagined. He is currently using the society to expand on his own research.
